As the midnight bells rang, the new year arrived, and fireworks burst forth outside as everyone welcomed the new year together.
There was a rapid knocking on the door of the private room, and the manager ran over to report to He Ci.
"Young Master He, something bad has happened! The police are conducting a surprise inspection."
He Ci frowned slightly. This place belonged to Su Ning, and now the gang's territory was kept very clean.
When everyone heard that the police were conducting a routine inspection, they all followed He Ci out of the private room. Unexpectedly, the one leading them was someone they knew.
Su Ning hadn't seen Bai Yi for almost two months, and she never expected to see him again in this way today.
Qi Yan teased, "Who do we have here! Isn't this Director Bai? Why is he personally checking the rooms?"
Su Ning nudged Qi Yan with her elbow, but Bai Yi ignored them and gave orders to his subordinates behind him.

Several police officers walked up to them and said, "Please show your ID cards."
Unlike Bai Yi, Lu Zhou was a brother after all, and everyone had their own path to choose from, so he couldn't blame Bai Yi.
"Old Bai, it's New Year's Eve tonight, why are you still on duty?"
Bai Yi didn't speak. Su Ning stared at him, wanting to say and ask many things. Their eyes met, but Bai Yi didn't say anything. He Ci quickly stepped in front of Su Ning.
His men reported that there were no problems, so Bai Yi called for the team to pack up. Before leaving, he stopped and looked back at everyone.
"Happy New Year!"
Su Ning knew that Bai Yi was saying this to her, because he had promised Su Ning that he would spend New Year's Eve with her every year.
Su Ning thought he was going to break his promise this year, but she didn't expect him to do it in this way, just to wish her a Happy New Year.
Su Ning also replied in her heart, "Happy New Year, A-Yi!"
Qi Yan was a little annoyed. "Damn it, what does Lao Bai mean? He can't even keep quiet during the New Year. Does he really want to go against his brothers?"
He Ci started being sarcastic again. What everyone didn't know was that He Ci knew perfectly well that this old Bai was still thinking about his wife.
On the way back, He Ci looked sullen, and Su Ning had no idea what he was up to!
"What’s wrong with you?"
He Ci pulled Su Ning onto his lap and asked, "Wife, do you love me?"
Su Ning smiled brightly as she reached out and touched He Ci's cheek.
"My husband is so handsome, how could I not love him?"
"Am I more handsome or is Bai Yi more handsome? Who do you prefer?"
Su Ning's smile froze on her face. He Ci stared at her intently, waiting for her answer.
"Why are you asking such boring questions again? You're my husband, of course you're the most handsome."
He Ci didn't believe her. "I felt uncomfortable when you hesitated just now. Prove it to me."
Su Ning couldn't do anything with him. She didn't know where his sense of crisis came from. He had to compare everything with Bai Yi. Bai Yi was about to get married, and he was still jealous for no reason.
When Su Ning got home, things took a turn for the worse. She didn't know if He Ci was angry or doing it on purpose, but no matter how much she begged for forgiveness, He Ci wouldn't stop. In the car, Su Ning's answer didn't satisfy him.
"Honey, what exactly do you want to hear?"
Su Ning's voice trembled. It was as if He Ci was torturing her. Whenever Su Ning wanted more, He Ci would stop and slowly bully her. Su Ning couldn't take it anymore.
"I want to hear you moan—in bed."
Su Ning pinched He Ci's arm hard. "You bastard."
He Ci smiled wickedly and roguishly, "You've known me for a while now, and the worst is yet to come!"
Since He Ci couldn't get the answer he wanted, he kept trying different tricks and making things difficult. Su Ning really couldn't guess what he wanted to hear!
