Chapter 247 Assassination

After He Ci left, only Maidell was left in the private room. He never expected that such good fortune would befall him.

You have to understand that getting on He Ci's good side is like getting on the good side of the entire gang. From now on, he will have the gang behind him, so he won't be afraid even if there are ten Ou Sens.

As long as he helps He Ci, He Ci will be his backer, and he will be in charge of politics from now on. Didn't Ou Sen rely on He Ci back then?

When people climb high, they lose sight of reality. He considered himself smarter than Olsen, and although he didn't understand why the two had fallen out, it was all beneficial to him.

He Ci held onto his weakness precisely because he was afraid he would turn against him. Judging from He Ci's attitude today, as long as he behaved himself, He Ci wouldn't make things difficult for him.

The following day, Maidel went to the police station in person. Bai Yi and Xi Lan were both there, and he personally inquired about the progress of the case.

Olsen also received the news, and he didn't expect that the old guy, who was always well-behaved, would interfere in the case like this today.

The police station was instantly filled with tension. These junior officers had never seen such important figures before, let alone the government.

Olsen looked grim, while Maide smiled broadly. He wasn't surprised that Olsen had come; he had the gang behind him now, so he wasn't afraid of a direct confrontation.

Ou Sen sat down in Bai Yi's office. Xi Lan felt a lot of pressure. What was going on today?

"I wonder what brings the Vice Governor here today?"

Maidel smiled and said, "Just dropping by. I heard there's a case here about European politics, so I came to check on it."

Olsen was unmoved. He wanted to close the case as soon as possible and make Su Ning pay for Ou Lin's death. Dragging it out would only lead to more problems. This old fox was definitely not just conducting a simple interview.

"Is the deputy commissioner very free? If you like working at the police station so much, why don't you take over Director Bai's position?"

The two started arguing in the office, one with a dark face and the other with a gentle smile, while Bai Yi and Xi Lan didn't dare to interrupt.

In the end, the two compromised, and the agreed-upon three-day case was extended to five days. Maidell had done his best, and he believed that He Ci could see his sincerity.

O'Sen stormed home, and Yu Min ran to greet him. Yu Min was also eager to know the outcome of the case, hoping for a sentencing the next day.

When Olsen saw Yu Min, he quickly composed himself, afraid that Yu Min would worry if she saw him.

"Minmin, when did you arrive? Why didn't you tell me?"

Yu Min hugged his waist, "I want to give you a surprise. I haven't been filming lately, would you like to take me in?"

Ossen stroked her hair, and his mood improved considerably. The two went to the sofa together, and Yu Min sat directly in Ossen's lap.

"Ah Sen, is something on your mind? You looked so upset when you came in."

Yu Min wanted to know the progress, but since Olsen wouldn't tell her, she could only try to get information out of him.

"Minmin, don't worry, it's all taken care of. The case might take another two days. Now that Maidel has gotten involved, it's not up to me to make the decisions alone."

Ou Sen didn't see the malice that flashed in Yu Min's eyes. Anything could change in two days. She absolutely couldn't let Ou Sen find out the truth. Su Ning had to die.

"Ah Sen, Su Ning is still in detention. There are all kinds of prisoners in jail, and fights are common."

Olsen narrowed his eyes, then pinched Yu Min's cheek, instantly improving his mood.

In the detention center, Su Ning woke up in the middle of the night to a noise outside. Without opening her eyes, she saw a figure in the darkness holding a dagger and stabbing it towards Su Ning's chest.

Su Ning nimbly rolled away to dodge the knife; she never expected that someone in the prison would want her dead.

The cell was too dark, with walls on all sides, so Su Ning couldn't see the other person's face, but she could vaguely make out that it was a short-haired woman.

Seeing that Su Ning had dodged the attack, the man continued to swing his knife and stab. Soon the two started fighting. Logically speaking, such a loud noise should have been heard by everyone.

Su Ning understood. This was probably a deliberate act to let her in to kill her. Either she would die, or the other party would die; otherwise, no one would have come in tonight.
