At the police station, Bai Yi came out of his office and clapped his hands at the people outside.
"Brothers, we have a mission. We'll be working overtime tonight to support the anti-prostitution squad. Meet downstairs in half an hour."
Everyone complained when they heard they'd have to work overtime again, but they still prepared as quickly as possible.
At a high-end club, the doorman watched as cars pulled up in front of the gate, and before he could react, he was pinned against the wall by the people who got out.
"Don't move, police are conducting a routine check."
As he spoke, he took out his work ID. These people were all in plainclothes. By the time the gatekeeper realized what was happening and tried to report it, the man had already been pinned against the wall.
Then seven or eight plainclothes policemen ran upstairs and kicked open the doors of each room.
"Don't move, police."
Someone shouted, "There are cops! Run!"
The corridor instantly descended into chaos. Some people rushed out in a panic without even putting on their clothes, while others were trapped in their beds.
An hour later, after everyone was dressed and gathered in the corridor, Bai Yi strode down the decadent second floor.
Some of the regular patrons, upon seeing Bai Yi, would still try to get close to him with a grin.
"Officer Bai, what a coincidence!"
As he spoke, he took out a cigarette from his pocket and offered it to Bai Yi, who kicked him in the stomach. The man was in so much pain that he broke out in a cold sweat and dared not say anything more.
"Behave yourselves, men stand to the left, women stand to the right, and show your ID cards."
After his subordinates completed the registration, they reported to Bai Yi, "Boss, three of them came illegally."
Li Bing pointed to three girls in the corner. Bai Yi looked in that direction and saw that the girls were wearing revealing tank tops, with their skirts barely covering their private parts up to their thighs.
"Sigh! Girls these days will do anything for money. They give up being decent women and insist on coming here to do prostitution."
Bai Yi's cold, hard face remained expressionless. Seeing that the registration was almost complete, he addressed the crowd.
"Take them all back to the police station for questioning, separating the men and women."
When Brother Leopard heard from his underling that his territory had been raided, he was so angry that he slapped the underling across the face.
"Damn a bunch of useless idiots, who's leading this time? Why didn't we get any information about it?"
The younger brother spoke tremblingly, "Our informant didn't receive any notification. It seems that it's Officer Bai from the anti-drug unit leading the team."
Leopard slammed his fist on the table in anger. "It's that damn cop again. He just confiscated my goods a few days ago, and now he's here to cause trouble again."
The underlings below didn't dare to make a move when they saw Brother Leopard. After a long while, Brother Leopard slowly spoke.
"Keep a low profile lately, and make your underlings behave themselves."
After receiving his instructions, the younger brother heard Brother Leopard speak again.
"Is there any news from the Hai Gang? Tell Cheng Hai not to agree to He Ci's request."
Before his underling could answer, Leopard's phone rang. After hearing what was said on the other end, Leopard angrily smashed his phone on the ground.
"Damn it, are they all going against me?"
Leopard wanted to call He Kun, but seeing the phone on the ground, he spoke to his underlings instead.
"Call He Kun and tell him to come over; we have something important to discuss."
He Kun rushed over after receiving a call from Brother Leopard's henchman. He had heard about what happened tonight and thought that he was the only one who couldn't explain things at the end of the month, but he didn't expect that Brother Leopard was in an even worse situation than him.
When Brother Leopard saw He Kun arrive, the two, both wearing masks, embraced each other with feigned harmony but underlying discord.
"Brother Kun, welcome, welcome."
He Kun also stretched out his hands towards Brother Leopard, "Brother Leopard, how have you been?"
The two brothers hugged each other warmly, exchanged pleasantries, and then got down to business.
"Brother Kun, to be honest, you've heard about what happened tonight. The cops have been keeping a close eye on us lately, and we've run into some trouble with our goods and our place."
He Kun also recounted his recent experience: "I had a batch of good goods that had already landed, but they were confiscated by the cops."
After discussing it for a while, Brother Leopard revealed his suspicion: "I suspect there's a traitor within the gang."
He Kun had also thought of this; it would take time for such a large gang to find an inside man.
