He Ci sat on the sofa and waited for a while before Su Ning and Bai Weiwei came out with their clothes.
The shop assistant greeted them with a big smile, "Which one of you ladies would you like? We'll wrap it up for you here."
Su Ning returned the clothes to the shop assistant, and He Ci frowned and got up to walk over.
"Sweetie, don't you like anything?"
Before Su Ning could speak, Bai Weiwei answered first, "Ning'er looks very beautiful in these clothes, she doesn't want you to spend money on them."
He Ci's lips curled into a roguish smile. "Wrap them all up. I'll take them all."
Su Ning tried to stop him, but He Ci took her hand and squeezed it.
"Little darling, I'll be angry if you refuse."
Bai Weiwei didn't want to see the two of them being all lovey-dovey, so she quickly waved to the shop assistant.
"Wrap all of these up, we'll take them all."
The shop assistant beamed with joy when she heard that she wanted them all.
"Okay, okay, I'll settle the bill for you right away."
Bai Weiwei leaned against the counter, looking at the two people not far away. She was quite envious of Su Ning; someone like He Ci actually had such a tender side.
They've been at odds since they were kids, and every time they meet they're bickering but there's never any chemistry between them.
Seeing how good his relationship with Su Ning was, Bai Weiwei was happy for He Ci. Even heroes can't resist the charms of a beautiful woman, and He Ci was no exception.
The shop assistant's voice broke her thoughts, "Hello, miss! The total is eight thousand three hundred and twenty, but I'll take eight thousand three."
Bai Weiwei walked up to He Ci and stretched out her hand, "Give me the card."
He Ci smiled and took out a card from his pocket and handed it over. Su Ning hadn't heard the clerk's words while talking to He Ci.
When she learned that the clothes cost more than eight thousand, Su Ning grabbed Bai Weiwei's hand as she handed over the card.
"Weiwei, these clothes..."
Afraid they might change their minds, the clerk quickly pulled out the card to swipe it. "Beep! Card swipe successful."
Bai Weiwei smiled and looked at Su Ning, "It's too late, it's already finished."
Su Ning withdrew her hand. Since she had already paid, she stopped worrying about it. After all, the money wasn't hers anyway.
The waiter smiled and handed the clothes to the two ladies, saying, "These are your clothes, please take them."
He Ci walked over and took the clothes with a smile, "Now that I have the clothes, I'll go buy a few pairs of shoes."
Su Ning didn't say anything, but Bai Weiwei pulled her to a shoe store. He Ci followed behind carrying large and small bags. Su Ning could tell from Bai Weiwei's practiced manner that she was a regular customer.
These clothes have already cost He Ci over eight thousand. Su Ning thought that as long as she didn't try on the shoes, He Ci wouldn't waste money.
He Ci saw through Su Ning's thoughts and walked over to sit next to her.
"Little darling, why don't you give it a try?"
Su Ning shook her head. "I have shoes. You've already spent a lot of your money today."
He Ci leaned close to Su Ning and quickly kissed her on the cheek, causing Su Ning's face to flush red with embarrassment.
"Brother Ci! This is outside."
He Ci grinned mischievously, "Oh! Then let's kiss when we get home."
Su Ning pushed He Ci away and hurriedly got up to go find Bai Weiwei.
He Ci's smug grin was so conspicuous that Bai Weiwei couldn't bear to look at him. She nudged Su Ning with her elbow and said sarcastically.
"Hey, what's it like kissing a thug?"
Boom! Su Ning's face flushed bright red. "What nonsense are you talking about! We...we..."
Bai Weiwei looked at Su Ning with ambiguous eyes, "Alright, alright, actually you two are quite a good match. I also really want to see what He Ci looks like when he falls in love."
He Ci walked up to the two of them with a pair of small leather shoes in his hand. "You won't have the chance to see me make a fool of myself, but I can ask you to be my bridesmaid when I get married in the future."
Bai Weiwei stared at him with wide eyes in disbelief, as if to say, "Big brother, are you serious?"
He Ci didn't look at her, but handed the little leather shoes in his hand to Su Ning.
"You'll definitely look good in this, go try it on."
Su Ning took the shoes from He Ci's hand. If she hesitated, she would seem pretentious. Since He Ci wanted to buy them, she had no choice but to accept.
