Chapter 35 Watching the Sunrise

The next day, just as dawn was breaking, Su Ning woke up to find herself sleeping in the car.

He Ci was no longer by her side. Su Ning looked at her coat, which had a faint tobacco scent that was unique to He Ci.

Su Ning turned to look out the window and realized she was on a beach. No wonder she felt a little cold.

Su Ning pushed open the car door and got out, only to see He Ci sitting on the beach not far away, gazing into the distance.

Su Ning walked up behind He Ci on the soft sand and draped the coat over He Ci's shoulders.

"It's a bit chilly in the morning, wear more clothes."

He Ci reached out and took Su Ning's hand, and the two sat side by side.

"Are you awake yet? I was planning to call you to watch the sunrise later."

Su Ning looked at the dark circles under He Ci's eyes and said, "Didn't you sleep all night? Why don't you get some sleep first, and I'll wake you up when the sun rises?"

He Ci reached out and pulled Su Ning's shoulder into his arms. "No need. The sunrise should be coming soon. Let's wait together."

The wind was a bit strong by the sea, and Su Ning felt that He Ci's embrace was very warm, warming her heart.

The two waited for about an hour. The sky began to lighten, and the sun slowly rose above the water. It was the first time Su Ning had ever seen such a beautiful sunrise at the beach.

"Brother Ci! Look at the sunrise!"

He Ci looked at Su Ning's beautiful face, his eyes filled with a happy smile.

Su Ning turned around and saw He Ci staring at her; they saw each other's reflections in each other's eyes.

Time seemed to stand still as He Ci slowly moved closer to Su Ning, their bodies very close. He Ci gently pressed his lips to Su Ning's.

At first, it was just a tentative encounter, but in the end, Su Ning also fell for it. He Ci's kisses were sometimes domineering and sometimes gentle. Su Ning went from being shy at the beginning to learning to respond.

Su Ning's kiss was awkward and lacked skill. A strange feeling swept through He Ci's body. Just as he was about to put his hand under Su Ning's back, he was startled awake by a voice in the distance.

"Wow! Young people these days are so open-minded, kissing so early in the morning."

Su Ning blushed and pulled He Ci towards the car. He Ci followed closely behind, his eyes full of smiles.

The two jogged back to the car. Su Ning patted her chest, still shaken. It was so embarrassing.

After returning home, the two had breakfast downstairs. He Ci then took Su Ning home and went to attend to other matters.

He Ci returned to his company first, and when the office door was pushed open, he saw Qi Yan bowing his head and signing something.

Qi Yan didn't need to look up to know who it was; besides He Ci, no one else could enter without knocking.

Without even looking up, Qi Yan began to tease, "Hey big boss, you've finally decided to come back?"

He Ci sat down opposite him, took out a lighter and played with it in his hand.

"Have you found the storefront I wanted?"

Qi Yan stopped what she was doing and looked up at him. "I've found it according to your requirements. What do you plan to do?"

He Ci handed him a design drawing from his pocket, "Based on this renovation, find a flower company to cooperate with long-term."

Qi Yan looked at the design drawings in his hand; He Ci was planning to open a flower shop.

He was very curious about who He Ci was giving the shop to. After so many years of being brothers, this was the first time he had seen him put so much effort into it, even personally designing the blueprints.

"Hey! You're not keeping a mistress on the side, are you? You haven't been hanging out with your buddies lately."

He Ci was fiddling with his lighter, making a clicking sound. Qi Yan, seeing that he didn't seem inclined to answer, felt incredibly itchy to reply.

"I'm telling you, we're all brothers, there's no need for you to hide anything from me!"

He Ci smiled and said, "I'll introduce you when I have the chance. I'll come to check on the results in a week."

"Hold."

Qi Yan couldn't help but swear, "Dude, are you serious? What kind of woman could possibly win you over?"

He Ci ignored him, got up and walked out. Qi Yan felt that this brother was no longer a good friend; he had no humanity when it came to women and only knew how to enslave him.
