Chapter 4 Underworld Families

A week later, Su Ning's facial injuries had almost healed, though there were still some bruises around her mouth.

This was A-Rang's first visit since he took the person to the hospital last time, and he hadn't expected the girl in front of him to be so beautiful.

When Su Ning saw A Rang, she ran over and tried to kneel down, but A Rang helped her up.

With tears welling up in her eyes, Su Ning said, "Sir, thank you for saving me. I will repay you."

A-Rang looked at the delicate girl in front of him, who seemed as if she could be blown away by a gust of wind.

"Miss, please get up. It was my young master who saved you. I was just running errands."

A-Rang helped Su Ning sit back on the hospital bed, and then pushed a backpack and a suitcase in front of Su Ning.

"Check if these are yours, and if anything is missing?"

Su Ning took her suitcase and backpack with trembling hands, tears streaming down her face uncontrollably.

She opened her backpack and saw that her wallet was still there, with an old family photo inside. Su Ning burst into tears.

"Mom and Dad, little brother, we will be reunited soon."

Ah Rang looked at Su Ning and was somewhat moved. Fortunately, she was lucky to have met the young master. There were countless girls like her who had been abducted, and the young master would not always be kind enough to rescue them.

Su Ning wiped away her tears and knelt down before A Rang again. This time, A Rang did not stop her.

"Sir, may I see your young master?"

"I want to thank him for saving my life."

Arrang conveyed his congratulatory message and took out an envelope from his pocket, handing it to Su Ning.

"My young master said, 'Take this, it's chaotic outside, hurry home!'"

Su Ning kowtowed three times to A Rang, "Tell your young master that I don't want the money, but I will repay him if I have the chance."

After returning, A-Rang relayed Su Ning's words to He Ci without missing a single one, and also explained that Su Ning was forced to entertain guests because it was Brother Leopard's idea.

He Ci fiddled with a lighter in his hand and lazily uttered a few words.

"Let's go and meet them."

He Ci hates human trafficking and drug trafficking the most. His childhood dream was to become an excellent policeman, but unfortunately, fate was against him. He was destined to be a policeman from birth.

The car drove all the way to the manor, where the pavilions and towers were antique and elegant. He Ci got out of the car and strode into the manor with his long legs.

Passersby respectfully greeted him as "Young Master." When He Ci entered the main hall, he saw everyone sitting in the hall having a meeting.

He walked over, pulled out a chair, and sat down without any decorum. The people in the main hall were annoyed by his behavior.

"He Ci, where is your manners?!"

He Ci picked at his ear. "Old man, you're so old, yet you still have such a temper."

He Zhan slammed his fist on the table in anger, “I’m your father! Look at the state you’ve become! You’re good for nothing and never learn anything. How can we entrust such a large family business to you in the future?”

He Ci stretched his feet onto the conference table, his lazy demeanor making He Zhan so angry he wanted to shoot him.

"Give it to whomever you want. I don't care about this kind of family fortune that was obtained through such immoral means. I'm afraid it will shorten my lifespan."

The faces of those present turned grim upon hearing He Ci's words. These gangs and branches had all made their fortunes through shady businesses, and none of them hadn't taken dozens of lives. None of them had clean hands.

Fearing that his unfilial son would incur public wrath, He Zhan coldly rebuked him.

"As a member of the He family, you had no choice. Blame it on being born into the wrong family."

"Do you dare say you haven't taken a few lives, or that your hands are clean? Everything you have now comes from the gray industry that you despise the most."

He Ci stood up and clapped his hands. He had come here to annoy these people, and now that he had achieved his goal, there was no point in staying any longer.

“Well said. Brother, you are more suitable to sit in this position. They say that the father conquers the world and the son enjoys the blessings. You are my own father, so you must live to be a hundred years old.”

After He Ci finished speaking, he ignored the group of people behind him. Born into a family of gangsters, just as his father said, he had no choice but to accept his fate. He did not want to accept this fate.
