Today is the first day of business, and tonight, He Ci has arranged two tables at the hotel.
One table was occupied by He Jin and her friends, while the other table was occupied by the restaurant's employees. When the two arrived, the food and drinks had already been served.
He Jin really liked Su Ning, and she pulled her to sit down next to her, which made He Ci a little jealous.

Qi Yan poured a full glass of wine and handed it to Su Ning with both hands. He Ci stood up to take it, but Qi Yan dodged him.
"Please sit down. This is a toast to Miss Su. I was rude last time. If you don't drink this, it means you're still angry."
Su Ning knew she had been a bit dramatic last time. She stood up and took the wine Qi Yan offered, but He Ci grabbed her wrist.
"Little darling, do you drink alcohol?"
Su Ning smiled at him and said, "If I get drunk, Brother Ci, remember to take me home."
He Ci glared at Qi Yan, while Su Ning raised her glass and drank it all in one gulp. This was Su Ning's first time drinking alcohol, and the taste was a bit pungent and spicy, making her feel like her throat was on fire.
The people at the table were stunned to see Su Ning. This was baijiu, not plain water. She had just downed such a large glass of Moutai in one gulp.
Su Ning put down her wine glass and looked at the stunned group of people. "Wh...what's wrong?"
He Ci looked at Su Ning with concern, "Little darling, how are you feeling right now?"
Su Ning shook her head, "This wine is a bit spicy, but I don't feel anything else."
Bai Yi was also keeping an eye on Su Ning. He had wanted to find an opportunity to apologize to Su Ning after their unpleasant parting, but he hadn't had the chance because of the murder case he encountered last time.
Yesterday, Weiwei told him that Su Ning had opened a flower shop on the pedestrian street, so he came to check it out. To his surprise, the person Su Ning liked was He Ci.
He Ci was someone he had grown up with. He, Qi Yan, Xiao Lin, and Lu Zhou were all classmates and friends. However, given their identities—he was a policeman, and He Ci was a member of the underworld—they were destined not to be brothers openly.
Sometimes he envied Qi Yan, Xiao Lin, and Lu Zhou. They were all brothers, and they could play together openly, while he felt like an outsider.
Su Ning felt a bit stuffy in the room, so she sat for a while and then made an excuse to go to the bathroom. When she came out again, she saw Bai Yi standing at the door.
Su Ning smiled awkwardly, "What a coincidence, you're out for some fresh air too?"
"Unfortunately, I was waiting for you specifically."
After Bai Yi finished speaking, he pulled Su Ning to the top floor. The wind made Su Ning feel much more awake.
"I'm sorry! I haven't had a chance to apologize to you until now. I misunderstood you that day because I didn't understand the situation."
Su Ning leaned on the railing and looked down. "It's okay! I thought I had forgotten."
"Weiwei told me you're a police officer and that you and Ci-ge are brothers, right?"
Bai Yi looked at her back and replied, "Yeah! We're good brothers, but not many people know about our relationship."
"You're a police officer. If Brother Ci commits a crime someday, would you arrest him?"
Bai Yi didn't expect Su Ning to ask this, and he replied without hesitation.
"Yes, I am a police officer, and arresting people is my duty."
Su Ning turned around and didn't say anything more. Bai Yi walked to her side and spoke calmly.
"Are you and Aci dating? Do you know his background?"
Su Ning smiled gently, and a breeze blew by, ruffling her hair.
"No matter who he is or what his status is, in my heart he is a good person, my savior. If that day ever comes, can you please let him go?"
