The next day, when Su Ning woke up, she didn't see He Ci and didn't know when he left.
Su Tian had gotten up early, but thinking about what she had overheard last night, she was too embarrassed to go out. She also told Sun Man and Wang Meng not to go out, for fear of running into that man.
Su Ning walked out of the bedroom. The living room was quiet and there wasn't a sound. Su Ning assumed that Su Tian and the others were still sleeping and didn't disturb them.
After washing up, Su Ning was about to cook when there was a knock on the door. When she opened it, she saw that A Rang had sent breakfast over.
Hearing Su Ning's voice, Su Tian and the others inside opened the door and went out.
Arrang placed the breakfast on the table and, seeing the girls in the room, took out a property certificate and a key from his bag and placed them in front of Su Ning.
“Miss Su, the young master said that someone from your hometown has come to visit. Since the place here is too small to accommodate them, he bought a property across the street in your name. I will take you there to see it after dinner.”
Su Ning took the property certificate, which did indeed have her name on it. In the past, Su Ning would not have accepted it, but now He Ci had handed over his secret stash of money.
He knew his place in the world, and the last time they had a disagreement, it was because Su Ning felt insecure. He didn't want Su Ning to suffer, so he made sure she felt secure.
"Brother Rang, thank you for making this trip. Would you like to sit down and have some food with everyone?"
Ah Rang waved his hand, "Miss Su, you're too kind. We've already had breakfast. Come find me across the street after you've finished eating."
After seeing A-Rang off, Su Ning told everyone to wash up. Su Tian looked at Su Ning with complicated eyes, and she suddenly felt that this younger sister no longer needed her protection.
In the restroom, Sun Man leaned close to Wang Meng's ear and whispered something.
"Mengmeng, aren't you curious about what Ning'er's boyfriend does?"
"Shh! Put away your curiosity. Ning'er's boyfriend is obviously not an ordinary person. Have you ever seen anyone buy a house just because their relatives come to visit?"
It would be a lie for Sun Man not to be envious; this is a house, not a cabbage, especially a house in Gangcheng.
The breakfast was plentiful. After Su Ning and the others finished eating, they walked across the street. Su Tian wasn't stupid; she knew that the man probably didn't want them to stay here, which was why he had someone arrange accommodations so early in the morning.
Su Tian, Sun Man, and Wang Meng, carrying their snakeskin bags, arrived at the new house prepared by He Ci.
The door was open. When Su Ning led her people inside, she saw A Rang directing people to move furniture. When he saw Su Ning, he went over to greet her.
"Miss Su, everything is almost complete. Please see if there's anything missing and I'll have someone buy it."
Su Ning looked at the spacious living room, the brand-new furniture, and the large floor-to-ceiling windows through which she could see the bustling streets.
Su Tian, Sun Man, and Wang Meng were all stunned by the house in front of them. They thought Su Ning's place was already quite nice, but they didn't expect it to be even more luxurious.
"Ning... Ning'er, can we really live here?"
Sun Man's speech was a little slurred, which was understandable, as she had grown up in the countryside and the most luxurious place she had ever seen was Zhu Zhou's house. No matter how well the rural houses were decorated, they couldn't compare to the port city.
Su Ning looked around and saw that three of the rooms were quite large. She smiled and nodded to the three of them.
"You can choose your own rooms. See if you need anything and we'll go out and buy it later."
A-Rang said a few more words to Su Ning and then left, while Su Tian and the other two went to choose rooms. Su Ning took out her phone and sent a text message to He Ci.
"Brother Ci! Thank you."
He Ci smiled slightly when he received Su Ning's text message. He was relieved that he wouldn't be kicked out again, and he was also grateful to Qi Yan for saving him from being alone in an empty house.
It seems we'll need to buy a few more houses like this in the future, just in case Xiao Guai's parents and other relatives come to visit someday, so they can have a place to stay.
