After dealing with everything, He Ci led the group out of the nightclub, with Qiao Zhen following behind.
Upon reaching the door, A-Rang handed He-Ci a handkerchief. The group noticed that He-Ci's face was terribly gloomy, a far cry from his earlier flirtatious demeanor. They saw him wiping his fingers one by one with the handkerchief.
A moment later, Ali drove up to them, A-Rang opened the door and He Ci got in. Then he spoke to the people outside in a cold tone.
"From now on, know your place. If it weren't for Su Ning, I wouldn't have bothered with your mess at all."
"Remember this: Su Ning is someone I treat like a goddess. I wouldn't even let her shed a single tear. If something similar happens again in the future, I hope your first choice will be her, not some worthless childhood friend."
Su Tian, Sun Man, and Wang Meng felt somewhat ashamed after hearing He Ci's words. Su Ning had been so good to them, yet they hadn't chosen her at the crucial moment.
He Ci threw the handkerchief out the window, then told Ali to drive; he was annoyed just seeing those women.
A short while later, another car stopped in front of them. A-Rang invited everyone to get in, since they were Su Ning's friends, and A-Rang could only report back to Su Ning by personally taking them home.
In the living room, Su Ning curled up on the sofa, too worried to close her eyes. She looked at the wall clock and saw that it was already past 2 a.m. She wondered if He Ci would be able to bring her back.
Soon, the sound of a lock being opened came from outside. Su Ning stood up from the sofa and, seeing He Ci, cried and threw herself into his arms.
He Ci was both angry and heartbroken when he saw that her eyes were swollen from crying.
"Don't be so foolish in the future. People who don't care about you don't need your concern, because you don't know whether you're saving a human or a devil."
"Brother Ci, Su Tian is my sister. I have to save her no matter what. She and my older brother used to treat me very well."
He Ci knew Su Ning was naive, and he wanted to let her know that the world is not black and white, and that people can change.
"Little darling, here, the only one you can trust is me. No matter what happens in the future, we must trust each other, never abandon or betray each other."
Su Ning nodded. She knew that He Ci was doing it for her own good, and that Su Tian and the others' choices today had indeed hurt her.
Inside the car, Su Tian thanked A Rang in the passenger seat.
"Brother Rang, thank you for your help today."
A-Rang's indifferent voice reached their ears.
"You shouldn't be thanking me. Young Master He gave Sister Hua a five-million-dollar villa to protect you all. If you're so kind, don't make Miss Ning'er sad again."
The people behind them gasped in shock. Five million was a sum they never dared to dream of, and it was all gone just because they meddled.
Qiao Zhen sat in the corner without saying a word. Five million was indeed a lot for them, but for He Ci, even the money that slipped through his fingernails was more.
The reason Ah Rang said that was to make Su Tian and the others feel guilty and owe them a favor. After all, Qiao Zhen had been around here for so many years, so how could she not understand what Ah Rang was thinking?
Su Tian hesitated, wanting to ask Su Ning how she was doing, but swallowed her words. Today, they were just looking for trouble. They knew what Qiao Zhen was doing, but they still rushed to help. It was only right that Su Ning was angry.
A-Rang dropped the person off downstairs and left. Su Tian and the others led Qiao Zhen home. Qiao Zhen looked around in amazement!
"Sweetie, Dreamy, Manman, your place is really nice. The rent must be high, right?"
Sun Man spoke faster than she thought, "This belongs to Su Ning; we're just staying here temporarily."
When Qiao Zhen heard that the house belonged to Su Ning, her eyes were filled with resentment and jealousy. If she hadn't brought Su Ning here, how could Su Ning have such a good life today?
