Extra Chapter Seventeen: Gift

Since Ou Yan's identity was exposed, his relatives and friends have almost worn out Bai Mucheng's villa.

Su Ning came to visit almost every day. She wanted to learn more about her son and make up for the maternal love she had missed over the years.

Although He Ci was jealous, his son was his wife's biggest worry, so he held back for now. His immediate concern was how to trick his son into coming home.

Bai Mucheng was speechless. This was her villa. Anyone who didn't know better would think it was the He family's villa. She was the only outsider there.

He Fanxing and He Yuhang really liked this older brother. As soon as they got out of school, they would run to Crescent Villa and even stay there at night.

Su Ning was envious; she also wanted to live here. The villa had a limited number of rooms, and He Ci wouldn't let her stay outside.

He Fanxing handed a gift box to Ou Yan, her face full of innocent smiles. She had a brother now, how wonderful.

"Big brother, this is my favorite thing. It was a birthday present from my parents when I was eight years old. Today I'm giving it to you."

Ou Yan didn't accept it, but Bai Mucheng couldn't bear to watch. She took He Fanxing's gift and stuffed it into Ou Yan's arms.

"I'm warning you, you're not allowed to bully Fanxing. They're all your family. You can bully me, but you absolutely cannot bully her."

Su Ning knew it was a gift from her daughter, and she looked at Ou Yan with expectant eyes, hoping he would open it and take a look.

Looking at the gift in his arms, Ou Yan's face remained expressionless, but his heart was calm. It was a gift from his own sister.

"I'm tired, do whatever you want."

Fanxing was a little disappointed. "Does my brother not like the gift I gave him, or does he hate me?"

Bai Mucheng looked at the closed door, then comforted Fanxing and Su Ning.

"Don't overthink it. Ou Yan is a cold-faced but warm-hearted person. Give him some time."

Su Ning held back her tears, "It's okay! I can wait, I believe he will accept us."

In the room, Ou Yan's hands trembled as he opened Fanxing's gift, which was a ceramic doll depicting a family of five.

Ou Yan stroked the little figure without a face painted on it. He didn't need to guess; it must be him. So this was his family. Ou Yan's heart was warmed by the warmth and pain.

He Ci arrived at dinner time. Su Ning had prepared a large table full of food, and Bai Yi and Xi Lan were also there to freeload.

Bai Mucheng took the initiative to invite Ou Yan to dinner. Su Ning was a very good cook, and He Ci usually wouldn't let her cook. Bai Mucheng was just benefiting from Ou Yan's cooking.

"Ou Yan, dinner's ready."

There was no movement in the room. Bai Mucheng pushed open the door and saw Ou Yan staring blankly. Following his gaze, she saw that the porcelain doll, which originally had no face, now had eyebrows and eyes.

“Ou Yan, your godmother really loves you, and so does your godfather. He may look fierce, but his love for you is no less than your godmother's. Don't make them wait too long, okay?”

It's not that Ou Yan doesn't want to acknowledge his family; he just doesn't know how to get along with them. Now he not only has parents but also younger siblings, and he doesn't dare to hope for a family like that.

"Let's go! Let's go eat."

When Su Ning saw Ou Yan come down, she quickly went over and pulled out a chair. Ou Yan was a little flattered.

"Ayan, Mom is cooking for you. I don't know if it will suit your taste. Tell Mom what you want to eat."

He Ci picked up a chicken leg and put it in Ou Yan's bowl. "Your mom hasn't cooked in a long time. She's a very good cook."

Su Ning also put food on Ou Yan's plate, saying, "Eat more, Mom will make more if it's not enough."

He Fanxing, He Yuhang, Bai Mucheng, Bai Yi, and Xi Lan each took a bite with their chopsticks, and Ou Yan's bowl was piled up like a small mountain.

Seeing that Ou Yan didn't refuse and even finished his food, Su Ning was the happiest. Although her son hadn't called her "Mom" yet, as long as he didn't reject their advances, it was the best start.
