Final remarks
This book is finished here.
Then, I sat there for a long time, feeling quite complicated.
There is a sense of helplessness and emptiness, but also a sense of relief that it is finally over. Perhaps only the author can understand this!
As a convention, I always have to write a few words of thanks to finish the book, as if only in this way can it be considered a truly successful conclusion.
Let’s go back to this book. The initial idea came to me after I read “The First Magical World War” by Wandering Toad.
Magic provides energy, and with the path of technological development, you can climb the magic industry technology tree.
It would be very interesting to see how airplanes and cannons develop and collide with extraordinary combat power.
So, if you want to write, just start writing!
It's a pity that authors of my level always have good ideas, but it's hard to write them down.
The settings were well done, but once I started typing, things got out of control.
I could still work hard on polishing it in the early stages, but later on I became more and more careless. And because I wanted to go further in this field, I began to accept the theory of multiple code words.
I said I would write 10,000 words a day, and even if there were some bugs, everyone would be tolerant. So, I started working hard to write three updates a day!
The result is that I am very tired, and the plot cannot be accelerated. Instead, it seems to be watered down and long-winded.
Later on, I felt that this wasn't working and what I was writing was nonsense, so I started trying to complete part of the plot in each chapter.
Although I only updated once a day, I tried my best to advance the plot, not to increase the word count, and to make my typing smoother, so I persisted to the end.
To be honest, I feel a lot better.
However, I don’t dare to read book reviews anymore. I’m really mentally fragile and afraid of being scolded. If I get scolded too much, I can’t find my state of mind and can’t continue writing.
Let’s talk about the performance of this book. It’s actually not that good. When it was finished, the average sales volume was less than 2,000.
It may be due to the subject matter, poor writing skills, or the story is not attractive enough.
What’s more, I don’t know how to market, and I don’t even have a book club. I rely solely on readers for my livelihood.
If it weren't for the editor's recommendations and a group of lovely and loyal readers, I would have had a hard time making a living.
Old readers all know that my baby was born in May and I took a few days off.
Now that I have a baby, milk powder is really expensive, raising a baby is also really expensive, and then add the mortgage, the pressure is infinitely magnified.
Moreover, having a child requires not only money but also energy. Changing diapers, bathing, coaxing the child to sleep, feeding, etc. Don't be too busy.
In addition, I am an emotional writer, so once I find the state, I can stick to it.
When I can’t find my state, I feel so frustrated!
Many times, really many times, I wanted to cut it off, cut it off, cut it off, my grades are so bad, I have to cut it off!
It was like a devilish sound filling my head, looping endlessly, but I couldn't bear to stop, so I decided to finish it no matter what.
This is not only an explanation to the readers, but also to myself.
From the publication on October 1, 2024 to today, August 8, it is finally completed.
To be honest, there are many regrets, many shortcomings, a lot of hard work, a lot of entanglements, and a lot of helplessness, but in the end there is a result.
It can be considered that I have not let down the Buddha, you, my readers, and myself.
Later on, there is a special chapter, which was decided when the outline was finalized, and it can only be written as a special chapter, but you have to wait a little.
Let’s talk about my next book. Since I have to support my family, I can’t delay it for too long. It will be published at the latest by the end of this month.
The beginning has been approved by the editor, and the story outline has been finalized. Give me a few days to rest, collect some manuscripts, and then sort out the story setting and plot.
When I posted it, I told everyone that I hope the readers will continue to support me.
I've said too much, let me add one last sentence: thank you to all the readers who support me!
Thanks! ! !
