Chapter 65 An Unexpected Joy

The hovering magic vehicle, viewed from underground, does indeed have a very magical and technological feel.

You can actually sit inside.

Lu Shi sighed, "It's just the subway from my past life."

Not surprising.

I've seen it in many cities.

The shuttle bus was crowded, but Lu Shi's beautiful appearance attracted a "stealth wolf" from the tram.

...

At the J City Magic Association station, Lu Shi followed Feng Tianxiao out of the shuttle bus.

As soon as the doors closed, screams erupted from the shuttle bus.

The three lewd men who had been surrounding Lu Shi were now like deflated balloons, dazed and slumped to the ground, drool dripping from the corners of their mouths and their lower bodies were wet, clearly indicating that they had wet themselves.

Originally intending to shock the three wolves on the tram, Lu Shi opted for a psychological shock instead, considering the safety of the shuttle bus.

Adjusting the intensity, preventing the three from being completely stunned, was Lu Shi's final act of mercy.

Ignoring the little incident, Lu Shi followed Feng Tianxiao out of the platform and looked up to see the group of buildings across the platform that seemed out of place in the modern city.

The first thing that catches the eye is two towering magical stone pillars that seem to reach into the clouds.

The stone pillars are carved with intricate magical runes that change with the flow of light, occasionally emitting a faint golden glow, like ancient incantations being chanted softly.

Directly in front of the stone pillar lay a spacious magic plaza. Intricate magic circles were embedded in the plaza's surface, shimmering in the sunlight as if ready to be activated and unleash powerful magic. Around the plaza stood various magic statues and fountains, some serene, others lively, adding vibrancy and energy to the entire scene.

"Principal Feng, this Magic Association looks really impressive!" Lu Shi looked at the magic pillar and could clearly feel a strong magical fluctuation.

“Those are guardian pillars.” Feng Tianxiao sighed. “Sigh, if the N County Magic Association had guardian pillars of this level back then, there wouldn’t have been so few survivors.”

Mentioning N County weighed heavily on both of them.

Without saying another word, Feng Tianxiao led Lu Shi directly into the Magic Association.

Feng Tianxiao is clearly a celebrity.

The magicians he encountered on the road would greet him with great respect.

“Principal Feng, you’re very famous!” Lu Shi asked curiously.

"It's alright. Just ten years ago, I was also the vice president here. After leaving, I went to N County to run a school. Over the years, my N County Magic High School has brought a lot of honor to J City. Many brothers still remember me, right?" Feng Tianxiao said with a proud expression.

The two walked further inside. Suddenly, they passed a reception room with its door wide open.

Feng Tianxiao caught a glimpse of the person sitting inside, his expression excited. He quickly went in and called out.

"Old Qian!"

The elderly man who was sitting down, about the same age as Feng Tianxiao, turned around when he heard the call. His face became excited, and he hurriedly stood up to greet him.

The two elderly men embraced.

When Lao Qian saw Lu Shi standing to one side, a hint of surprise flashed across his face. He asked cautiously, "Lao Feng, who is this?"

"Old Qian, this is Teacher Lu from my school. He teaches practical skills and is very excellent," Feng Tianxiao proudly introduced.

After witnessing Lu Shi's performance at No. 1 High School, he consciously dropped the nickname "weak white magician" for Lu Shi and started calling her "fierce combat teacher."

"Oh, Teacher Lu!" Old Qian extended his hand very politely.

This kind-faced old man was a stark contrast to Zheng Wuren from No. 1 Middle School.

Lu Shi extended her hand and shook hands with Lao Qian in a very professional manner.

The three sat down, with Lu Shi sitting obediently next to Feng Tianxiao.

"Old Qian, why aren't you at school? What are you doing at the Magic Association?" Feng Tianxiao asked casually.

Mentioning the school, Old Qian's face turned somewhat grim. He sighed deeply, gave a bitter laugh, and then said, "The school can't continue operating. I'm here today to deregister it."

"Ah! No. 9 Middle School is your life's work! How can you just give up like that?" Feng Tianxiao seemed very shocked.

“Old Feng, you know I hate deception and cheating on ordinary people the most, just like you. But in the current environment, without cooperating with magic institutions, it’s impossible to recruit students. Today, my last ten students and one teacher have all transferred to other schools.”

Old Qian laughed self-deprecatingly.

"Now that I'm the only principal left at a magic high school, what's the point of running a school and teaching magicians?"

His voice was filled with boundless resentment.

Hearing this, Feng Tianxiao sighed. Thinking of his own school, he didn't know how to comfort him. Suddenly, his eyes lit up, and as if remembering something, he asked:

"Old Qian, does your school qualify for the National High School Magic Competition, specifically the preliminary round in J City?"

"Of course there are! But what's the use? There aren't a single student or teacher left." Old Qian's words showed that he had completely given up on himself.

“I have teachers and students!” Feng Tianxiao stood up excitedly.

"After the disaster in N County, it was designated as a military-controlled area. My N County Magic High School no longer exists. Now, the only way to qualify for the competition is to merge with another school."

"I heard about what happened in N County. Old Feng, please accept my condolences." Old Qian's face showed a hint of sadness. "But I heard that most of the top students in your school were..."

“Yes. The children are all heroes.” Feng Tianxiao also said with emotion. “However, I also have one teacher and six students who can represent us in the competition.”

After speaking, Feng Tianxiao's expression turned serious, and he said very earnestly:

"Old Qian, let's merge."

Listening to Feng Tianxiao's sincere statement, Lao Qian fell into deep thought. After a long while, he asked, "Even if we merge, we might not be able to recruit students. We can't compare to those shameless magic institutions! Without new students, we won't last long either."

"It's very simple. Once we qualify for the national magic high school competition and make a name for ourselves, we'll naturally attract good students."

"I know the students from N County are all very strong. But, are the rest really up to the task?"

“Okay. Besides, we also have a very knowledgeable teacher.” Feng Tianxiao said, pointing to Lu Shi.

What.

What are you asking me to do?

Knowledgeable?

Are you talking about me?

I can't meditate, and I can't distinguish between skills.

Principal Feng, please don't rush into treatment without proper consultation!

However……

"I believe you," Old Qian replied quite readily.

Ha ha.

The two elderly people happily shook hands, demonstrating their sincerity in cooperating.

Lu Shi smiled obsequiously, but inwardly she was screaming.

Old Feng, you're really asking for trouble. Later, I'll make those six little brats pay dearly and show them what true erudition looks like.

“Principal Qian.” Outside the reception room, a deacon from the Magic Association walked in carrying a large stack of documents.

Upon seeing Feng Tianxiao, the steward was initially taken aback, but then greeted him warmly.

"Principal Feng, you're here too! Long time no see."

"Little Sun!" Feng Tianxiao warmly shook hands with the steward.

“Principal Feng, let’s catch up another day. I need to take care of some paperwork for Principal Qian first.” Xiao Sun bowed slightly, walked to Principal Qian’s side, and handed him the documents.

"Principal Qian, these are the cancellation documents. Please take a look!"

"Xiao Sun, let's not cancel it. I've decided to merge with Lao Feng's school. Go and process the merger paperwork for us." Lao Qian waved his hand, not taking the documents.

"Ah!" Xiao Sun was a little taken aback.

However, he had no right to interfere with these two highly respected former principals, so he nodded and went out to prepare the materials.

"Wait, Xiao Sun." Feng Tianxiao stood up, called out to Xiao Sun, and then pulled Lu Shi over. "Could you please take Teacher Lu to do her advanced third magic awakening?"

These words shocked the two people inside.

Lu Shi looks very young, only in her early twenties.

A high-level mage in his twenties, while not a top genius, is certainly exceptionally gifted.

Instantly, Lao Qian also felt a bit more hopeful about the merger.

"Shishi, I'm going to discuss the merger details with Lao Qian. I won't be able to go with you. Come back and tell me the good news after you awaken." Feng Tianxiao waved his hand.

What is meant to be will be; what is meant to be will be.

Lu Shi smiled slightly, stood up, and gracefully followed Xiao Sun out of the reception room.
