Chapter 188 How Dare They Harm the Crown Prince

The expressions of the two people inside the room changed instantly, and the ambiguous atmosphere from before vanished completely.

Yan Shiman left the wooden table and went to the front of the main room to check.

Seeing Zhu Ye running in breathlessly, shouting as she ran, "Young Master, I need help."

"What's the rush?" Yan Shiman asked, grasping Zhu Ye's hand.

Beifeng stood up, his deep gaze lingering on the hand for a moment before he looked away.

"Your Highness, the Guangping Prince's Mansion has been suddenly attacked by a group of assassins. All the guards of the manor have gone out with the prince, and now it is just ordinary servants holding it up inside." Zhu Ye quickly finished explaining the whole story in one breath.

The Prince of Guangping's mansion was not far from them, just two or three hundred meters in front of this small house.

Yan Shiman's expression turned serious. "You mean, now only the Princess and the Old Madam are left in the Prince's mansion?"

"right."

Yan Shiman suddenly had a bad feeling. "Let's go quickly."

He turned around to say goodbye to the north wind, only to find that the man was following behind him without saying a word.

"Beifeng, you're injured, don't come with us," Yan Shiman whispered, scolding him.

Bei Feng's eyes were deep and cold. He rotated his left wrist and said in a low voice, "This hand is still usable."

Just as Yan Shiman was about to refuse, Zhu Ye anxiously urged from the side, "Alright, let's go quickly."

Even though the Beifeng brothers have lost an arm, their martial arts skills are still intact. What does Prince Yan have to worry about?

Seeing that Bei Feng was determined to go with them, Yan Shiman could only shut up in frustration.

The three used their lightness skills to scale the wall and break into the Prince of Guangping's mansion.

Upon entering the palace, they discovered that more than a dozen assassins dressed in black were standing in the backyard.

The assassins tied up the people in the mansion with ropes and took them to the backyard, where they lined them up in several rows and killed them one by one from left to right.

Blood was splattered all over the ground, and the flowers and plants in the yard were stained bright red, which looked very shocking.

One of the assassins, wielding a silver sword, was raising his hand to strike the queen, who was crouching on the ground, trembling, her hands and feet bound, only able to bend over to protect her belly.

Yan Shiman's eyes turned cold, and he drew his waist knife and rushed towards the assassin.

He knocked the sword out of the assassin's hand and then killed him with a single stroke.

The assassins then realized that three young men had suddenly broken into the palace, one of whom was dressed in fine clothes and the other was dressed in black like them.

Another person, though tall, had his right arm wrapped in gauze, suggesting he had suffered a serious injury.

"Who sent you? Why did you break into the Prince of Guangping's residence?" Yan Shiman was the first to ask. He looked handsome, but his actions were ruthless. He stabbed the curved knife into the chest of the assassin without hesitation, and then quickly pulled it out.

Enraged by this, the assassins rushed forward with their swords and began to fight the three men.

Zhu Ye drew two long swords from her back, tossed one to Bei Feng, and said, "Give me the left one, and you can have the right one. Leave the others in front to Prince Yan."

Bei Feng nodded slightly and said calmly, "Leave one alive so we can take him back for interrogation."

When the assassins saw that the two men were very calm, as if they were just ordering food at a restaurant, they immediately felt looked down upon.

So the assassin on the right, holding his breath, raised his sword and stabbed at the injured North Wind in the face.

With a slight turn of his toes, Bei Feng deftly dodged the assassin's attack, then leaped up and plunged straight down, his longsword piercing into the assassin's skull.

"Ahhh—" The assassin could only let out two short shouts before collapsing stiffly, bleeding from all seven orifices.

While exchanging blows with the assassin, Zhu Ye turned back and teased Bei Feng with a smile, "I didn't expect you to be so fierce even with a missing hand. If you ask me, you shouldn't have given up your identity as a bodyguard."

"Enough with the nonsense!" Bei Feng frowned, quickly dealt with the assassins in front of him, and then looked towards Yan Shiman.

He was exchanging blows with several assassins with ease, taking them down in just two or three moves.

Bei Feng rarely saw Yan Shiman fighting.

The arrogance and dashing spirit emanating from his brows made Beifeng's left chest tighten slightly, and his thoughts became chaotic.

Yan Shiman was playing well, but when he saw Bei Feng's direct and concerned gaze fall on him, he suddenly became nervous and his hands and feet became a little clumsy.

He glared at Beifeng, wondering why this big blockhead was staring at him like that.

It made him feel embarrassed.

Just after Yan Shiman finished dealing with all the assassins on his side, Zhu Ye untied the family members of the Prince's Mansion.

Yan Shiman stepped forward, clasped his hands in a bow, and said loudly, "I am the heir of the Prince of Runan, and I have come here to rescue the Princess Consort of Guangping and the old lady."

Princess Guangping and the old lady were surrounded by a group of female relatives, all of whom were trembling with fear.

The princess had met Prince Yan before. Her eyes were slightly red, and her voice trembled as she replied, "Thank you for your help, Prince."

Meanwhile, the elderly woman beside her pointed with trembling fingertips behind the bamboo leaves, "There, there is another one alive over there."

Yan Shiman looked in the direction she was pointing and saw an assassin with a sword behind Bei Feng.

Zhu Ye hurriedly said, "I have already pressed his pressure points."

"Madam, please rest assured, that was someone we specifically captured alive; he's going to be taken for interrogation."

Yan Shiman explained from the side.

His expression was originally very relaxed.

But when the prince saw the assassin suddenly use his internal energy to break through his acupoints and take out several poison needles from his pocket, his expression changed drastically.

"Watch out for the north wind!"

Just as Beifeng was about to turn around, he was knocked down by a force.

For a moment, he was stunned, and all he heard was Zhu Ye shouting, "How dare you! How could you hurt the Crown Prince!"

Yan Shiman was pierced in the neck by a poisoned needle, and immediately lost all strength and fainted on Bei Feng's body.

At this point, Zhu Ye no longer cared about leaving anyone alive and immediately used his sword to finish off the assassin in front of him with lightning speed.

The women in the prince's mansion screamed in terror.

Zhu Ye ran to Bei Feng's side and shouted anxiously, "That assassin just pulled out a needle to assassinate you, but the young master stopped him. I don't know what kind of poisoned needle he used. What should we do?"

Bei Feng scooped up the unconscious Yan Shiman in his arms, his expression terrifyingly gloomy.

He said to Zhu Ye in a deep voice, "Quickly prepare a fast horse, I need to return to the palace."

There is Imperial Physician Jiang in the palace. He is highly skilled in medicine and will surely be able to save the young prince.

At this moment, Princess Guangping, who had calmed down, stepped out from the group of women and hurriedly replied, "Brave man, there is a fine horse in my stable, which the prince often uses when he goes out. You can ride it first."

"Thank you, Your Highness." Bei Feng's eyes were deep and dark, making Zhu Ye's heart tighten slightly. He quickly said, "You go ahead, I'll handle things here."

Bei Feng nodded and led Yan Shi away from the Guangping Prince's Mansion without looking back.

As dusk settled, a galloping steed chased the setting sun straight for the palace.

The Shen family's carriage was waiting at the gate of the imperial city. Fu Xia stood in front of the carriage and helped her daughter into it.

As soon as Shen Yunjiao stepped onto the wooden stool, she saw someone riding a horse galloping towards her in the distance.

Someone actually dared to ride a horse at breakneck speed within the imperial city; were they courting death?

And none of the Imperial Guards stepped forward to stop him.

Could it be that some important person is about to appear?

Shen Yunjiao's curiosity was immediately piqued. She stood there motionless, wanting to see clearly who was so bold.

When the horse galloped over, Shen Yunjiao finally saw the true face of the person who had come.

Huh? Isn't that the north wind?

Shen Yunjiao saw Beifeng, whom she hadn't seen for many days. Just as she was about to greet him, she discovered that there was another person on horseback.

"Yan Shiman!"
