Chapter 438

Chapter 438

The train swayed and swayed, and when it arrived in Kyoto, it was already past two in the morning.

Su Changqing and Xu Weihua squeezed out of the station as if they were fleeing famine.

Although Xu Weihua was well taken care of along the way, her face was pale. There was no place to stand in the carriage, let alone lie down. Her buttocks were calloused and her waist was stiff from sitting for several days.

Not to mention Su Changqing, two of the packages on his body fell off, and even the glasses hanging on the bridge of his nose were almost squeezed off, and his face turned pale.

"Changqing, there are no cars at this time. I'm really too tired to bear it. Let's go to the guesthouse and rest for a while."

"Tomorrow I'll get up and catch the bus, then rush home." Xu Weihua said weakly. She just wanted to lie down and stretch her old waist.

"Okay, I remember there's a guesthouse just up ahead. Let's go, I'll hold you by the arm. Just hold on a little longer."

In the night.

A man wearing a hat stared at Su Changqing and his wife, then put out the cigarette in his hand, lowered his hat and followed them.

Finally he got out, and he thought he had taken the wrong train.

The exhausted couple in front had no idea that they were being targeted.

After registering at the guesthouse, I got the key and went upstairs with my luggage.

Xu Weihua fell on the bed as soon as she entered the room. Su Changqing quickly put down his things and went to take off her shoes. Thinking of when he entered the room just now, the uncle at the front desk was filling the kettle, so he took a basin and prepared to get half a basin of hot water.

"Weihua, I'll go downstairs and bring up a pot of hot water. I haven't washed in a few days, and my body is sticky and I can't sleep well."

Xu Weihua said "hmm" in a daze, and heard the sound of the door opening. He opened his eyes sleepily and saw Su Changqing's departing back. Through the half-open door, he saw a man in a hat passing by the corridor. The man looked at the half-open door and happened to glance inside.

After their eyes met, they quickly looked away.

Not long after, Su Changqing came up with a thermos. The guesthouse provided free hot water. After pouring the water and wiping his sleeping wife's hands, feet and face, he also washed himself and lay down.

In the quiet corridor, a figure holding a bottle slowly squatted down at the door of the room, then twisted off the bottle cap in his hand and poured something into the crack of the door.

With a crackling sound, the matchstick was lit. The small matchstick flicked from under the door and shot inside. The man turned around and left without stopping.

The old man on duty at the front desk downstairs was pecking at rice like a chicken and didn't notice anything.

Xu Weihua was kicked awake by Su Changqing.

"Ahem, ahem, Weihua, Weihua, get up quickly, there's a fire."

Xu Weihua listened to the shrill cry and felt the heat in the air. He shuddered and woke up instantly.

When I opened my eyes, I saw Su Changqing already patting the fire with the wet towel.

Xu Weihua got up and tried to pull open the door.

Su Changqing covered Xu Weihua's mouth and nose with the handkerchief in his hand, "Ahem, it's no use, Weihua, the door won't open, it seems to be locked from the outside."

"Help, help, there's a fire, cough cough cough~"

The room was not big to begin with, and with oil poured on the floor, the fire spread very quickly, and soon both of them could hardly breathe.

"It was too late. Xu Weihua took a quick look at the room, picked up a stool next to the table, and smashed it against the window above the table."

"Crash~"

The window was shattered instantly.

Seeing that Su Changqing was about to faint, she reached out and grabbed the back of his collar, made him lean over the window, and quickly pulled out the ugly scarf she had knitted from the luggage bag.

Although the scarf was ugly, it was made of good material and was long enough. One end was quickly tied to the windowsill, and Xu Weihua climbed down.

As soon as I stepped out the window, my breathing became smoother.

"Changqing, Su Changqing, climb down, climb down quickly."

Xu Weihua stood on the windowsill on the first floor with both feet, handed the wet handkerchief in his hand to Su Changqing, and hung in the air.

Su Changqing was completely dazed by the smoke and could not hear what Xu Weihua said at all.

The commotion finally woke up the people in the guesthouse, and everyone was shouting and yelling.

Seeing that the fire in the house was about to burst out of the window, Xu Weihua became ruthless, steadied himself, reached out and grabbed Su Changqing's collar and pulled him down.

“Ah~”

Su Changqing, who weighed over a hundred pounds and was lying powerlessly on the window, was pulled down from the window by Xu Weihua with one hand.

The broken glass on the windowsill scraped Su Changqing's arms and abdomen, causing them to bleed. The huge pain stimulated his brain to come back to consciousness.

Xu Weihua pulled Su Changqing down from the window, and his whole body was dragged down with him. His wrist could not withstand the huge force of falling and was directly dislocated.

As soon as Su Changqing woke up, he felt that Xu Weihua had pulled him down from the second floor and thrown him out.

"Ah~", the huge feeling of weightlessness made him scream and flap his hands subconsciously.

Before he could react, he fell to the ground with a bang.

Although it was only half a floor high, Su Changqing felt as if all his internal organs had shifted, his whole body was numb, and his heart felt like it was being pressed by a huge stone.

Before he could catch his breath, he was hit again with a heavy blow. He could no longer hold on, his eyes went black, and he knew nothing.

Xu Weihua covered her dislocated wrist and climbed up from Su Changqing. She had a bad feeling in her heart, "Changqing, Changqing~"

"Changqing, wake up~"

"Help, help, someone come quickly~"

Su Qingci had a good dream that night and slept until three in the morning the next day. She filled a bag of flour from the farm, picked up a big fish and a small bag of raisins, and rode her bicycle to Liuhuai Lane.

As soon as I entered the house, I felt that the atmosphere at home was not right. Today was a day off, and the three Sigui siblings did not go to school.

"Sigui, uncle, where's your grandma? Look what I bought, hehe~"

"What's going on?"

"Sister." Sixiang saw Su Qingci's eyes light up, and then as if she thought of something, she turned her head to look at her father's face and restrained the smile on her face.

"Qingci, you're back?"

Su Changzhi looked worried, "Your grandma and your aunt went to the hospital..."

"It was the comrades from the Public Security Bureau who came to inform us. It seems that something happened to my eldest brother and his wife."

Su Qingci raised her eyebrows, "My dad? Are they back?"

Su Changzhi nodded worriedly, "Yes, I don't know what's going on. I haven't reached home yet. The police officer said it's on the second floor of Pingkang Hospital."

Su Qingci put down her things, pushed her bicycle and turned to leave. "You stay at home, don't worry, I'll go see what's going on."
