Chapter 177 What kind of scene haven't I seen?

"Go back? Why should we go back? Isn't it good enough here?!"

Grandpa Zhou looked at Lin Yan'an with great confusion and asked worriedly, "Wanwan is still..."

He was interrupted by Lin Yan'an before he could finish speaking.

He looked at Grandpa Zhou with a resolute expression and said in a firm tone, "Grandpa, I must take her back to the shop!"

"It's precisely because of her current state that I have to take her back!"

Lin Yan'an's voice was hoarse, and his eyes were bloodshot: "That place is different for her!"

"I think the words Wanwan didn't finish saying before she fell into a deep sleep must be that I wanted her to take her back!"

Zhong Wan had told him many times that the grocery store was different for her; otherwise, she wouldn't have bought it as soon as she had money.

Moreover, although he couldn't perceive or feel it, he clearly knew that in the shop, whether it was for Sui Sui, A Gui, or... other ghosts, it seemed to have a... nourishing effect on them?!

In addition, Sui Sui once said that the store has a special magnetic field, and although it likes to play outside, it is more comfortable in the store.

All of the above factors combined make returning to the store the safest and most suitable place for Zhong Wan.

He couldn't explain his guess, nor could he explain the existence of the system.

Lin Yan'an's attitude was resolute; besides worry, his scarlet eyes held only a desperate, all-or-nothing conviction.

Grandpa Zhou looked at him, then at Zhong Wan, who was lying in his arms, her face rosy but still fast asleep, and sighed heavily.

He had lived most of his life and experienced all sorts of ups and downs, and he vaguely knew that there were things in this world that science could not understand.

Moreover, he had personally witnessed Zhong Wan's abilities.

He decided not to hesitate any longer: "Go ahead, and let Lao Zhao arrange whatever you need."

"Take good care of Wanwan, and... take good care of yourself too."

Uncle Zhao immediately sprang into action, but just as he was getting the car ready, several black SUVs silently drove up and stopped in front of their door.

The car door opened, and a familiar yet unfamiliar figure stepped out first.

Is it... Pang Wenyao?

Although Uncle Zhao is not young, his memory is still quite good.

Pang Wenyao and his group, each carrying a portable medical kit, had only taken a few steps when they saw Uncle Zhao. They politely explained the situation and then entered the room one after the other.

"Mr. Zhou, Mr. Lin."

Pang Wenyao stepped forward first and greeted them politely. His gaze then fell on Zhong Wan, who was being held tightly in Lin Yan'an's arms. Looking at her closed eyes, his expression hardened, and he said succinctly, "Director Qin asked me to pick you and Comrade Zhong Wan up and take you back to the store. The medical team will accompany you."

Lin Yan'an nodded upon hearing this, and while holding Zhong Wan, he was about to get up when he looked at Grandpa Zhou and said, "Grandpa, we'll be going now."

Grandpa Zhou nodded slightly: "Let's go, I'll come too."

Lin Yan'an was taken aback upon hearing this.

But the old man stood up without hesitation: "I'm also worried about Wanwan. Anyway, I'm just idling at home."

"Hurry up and move along, what are you dawdling for?!"

Okay, that suits the old man's style perfectly.

Lin Yan'an picked up Zhong Wan and followed.

Upon seeing this, the head of the medical team stepped forward, but was stopped by Pang Wenyao before he could speak.

Pang Wenyao shook his head slightly and said in a low voice, "No rush, let's talk about it when we get back."

Although the person in charge was somewhat puzzled, Director Qin had given clear instructions before they arrived: everything should be done according to Lin Yan'an and Zhong Wan's wishes, and their task was to safely send them back and provide medical support if necessary.

Upon realizing this, the person in charge immediately understood and stopped insisting: "I understand."

"Um."

Pang Wenyao nodded slightly and followed.

Seeing Old Master Zhou following along, he quickly stepped forward and asked in a low voice, "Old Master Zhou, this way please?"

"Need not."

Grandpa Zhou shook his head and pointed to Xiao Fang, the driver sitting in the car: "I have a car."

"You guys go about your business, don't worry about me."

Although he said that, Pang Wenyao couldn't really just ignore it.

Ultimately, still feeling uneasy, they arranged for a medical professional to accompany him.

After the group got into the car, it sped away.

When Lin Yan'an carried Zhong Wan out of the car and stood at the store entrance, looking at the familiar building in front of him, his feelings were quite complicated.

"This is Wanwan's shop?"

Grandpa Zhou looked at the familiar antique-style shop in front of him, feeling both curious and surprised: "This style looks familiar."

How could he not look familiar? He came from that era.

"Um."

Lin Yan'an nodded slightly, offering no explanation. Instead, she looked at Grandpa Zhou with some concern and cautioned, "Grandpa, there's a stick figure ghost in the shop... don't be frightened."

"Stickman Ghost?"

Grandpa Zhou raised his white eyebrows slightly, not frightened at all, but rather intrigued.

He leaned on his cane, his back ramrod straight: "I've spent half my life on the battlefield, what haven't I seen?"

"You think a mere stick figure can scare me?"

After he finished speaking, he took the lead and walked in with his cane: "Let me see what my granddaughter-in-law's territory looks like!"

Upon hearing this, Pang Wenyao was startled and quickly followed. He mustered his courage and stood in front of Old Master Zhou, bracing himself against his unfriendly gaze, and said, "Old Master Zhou, A-Gui is capable of attacking."

"For your safety, it would be better if you stayed behind us."

Alright, Grandpa Zhou isn't a stubborn person.

He looked at Pang Wenyao and nodded slightly: "No problem."

Reminded by him, Lin Yan'an remembered the incident of Ah Gui guarding the gate last time, and he quickly stepped forward: "Grandpa, please follow behind me."

Ah Gui knows him, so he probably wouldn't attack the person following behind him, right?

Lin Yan'an was also somewhat uncertain, but he had no other choice.

Unless the old man isn't allowed to go in,

But he followed me all the way here...

Thinking of this, Lin Yan'an sighed inwardly, picked up Zhong Wan, and pushed open the door of the general store first.

The bell on the door rang out crisply, breaking the silence in the shop.

Grandpa Zhou curiously surveyed the shop's environment, his gaze sweeping over the rather vintage shelves before instantly settling on the slender, blurry figure in front of Lin Yan'an.

Its head, as big as a light bulb, is topped with a crying expression; its limbs are made of slender lines; and it is carrying a large broom in its hand.

It really was the stick figure that Pei Xingyao had once drawn for him.

Ah Gui moved slowly, and as soon as its phantom flickered, it sensed a familiar presence. It quickly floated over, looking at Lin Yan'an's familiar face, and then at Zhong Wan in his arms.

Her tearful expression seemed to convey a deep sense of grievance.

And it actually recognized them, and without hesitation, it stepped aside to make way for them.

Ah Gui merely glanced at the strangers following behind them, without making any aggressive gestures.
