Chapter 35 Dead is dead!

Chapter 35 Dead is dead!

"Why are you back so early?"

Ya Ya's mother, still half asleep, opened the door and stood there looking at Ya Ya's father and then at Zhong Wan and the other woman with a puzzled expression. She couldn't help but ask curiously, "What's this?"

Ya Ya's father reached out and handed her the drawing paper, then peeked into the room and quickly said, "You'll see when you look at this. Where's Ya Ya? Is she still sleeping?"

"Yes, it's only a few o'clock..."

Before Ya Ya's mother could finish speaking, she instantly perked up when she saw what was on the drawing paper: "It's Hua Hua and Zai Zai!"

She was getting a little emotional, and just as she looked up to ask more questions, she saw Huahua perched on Yaya's father's shoulder, and her eyes instantly welled up with tears.

She raised her hand to cover her mouth, tears streaming involuntarily down her cheeks.

"Waaah... Flower..."

Ya Ya's father gently wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes and comforted her in a heavy tone, "Hua Hua doesn't have much time left, let Ya Ya see them one last time."

Upon hearing this, Zhong Wan glanced down at the time and quietly added, "Fifteen minutes left."

"good……"

Ya Ya's mother sniffed, then staggered and turned around.

"Hey, watch out!"

Seeing that she was about to bump into the door, Zhong Wan quickly spoke up to remind her.

Ya Ya quickly reached out and grabbed her arm, saying, "Be careful."

"Okay, sure."

Ya Ya's mother looked up, wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes, and smiled apologetically at Zhong Wan and the other woman.

Upon entering the living room, Ya Ya's mother reminded Ya Ya's father, "Old Hua, get some food for the guests."

"Good le,"

After she saw Ya Ya's father start moving, she turned around and quickly walked towards the room.

Standing at the doorway, looking at Yaya who was still fast asleep, my eyes welled up with tears again.

Ya Ya's mother wiped her eyes, walked to the bedside, bent down and gently touched Ya Ya's little face, whispering, "Ya Ya, wake up..."

"Shall we send the flowers off on their final journey together?"

These words seemed to have touched upon a key word.

Ya Ya opened her eyes groggily, her little mouth moving slightly as she softly murmured, "Flower..."

Ya Ya's mother, fighting back tears, nodded slightly: "Yes, Hua Hua and Zai Zai are here..."

She caught a glimpse of the two children on Ya Ya's bed out of the corner of her eye, and instantly burst into tears.

Before the baby even opened his eyes, his nose twitched slightly, and he wobbled as he climbed onto Ya Ya's blanket.

Hua Hua was not to be outdone. It easily found its way to Ya Ya's pillow, lay down next to her little face, first rubbing its nose against her chubby cheek, and after gauging the distance, it finally pressed its head against her face.

"Flower..."

"Flower!"

Meow~

Unlike Ya Ya's mother's choked voice, Ya Ya's voice instantly became clear.

She seemed to see something and quickly turned her head to look.

Looking at the empty spot next to her pillow, her big, bright eyes instantly filled with tears.

"Wow...Mommy...I want flowers..."

The little child instantly burst into tears, her little mouth trembling as she cried out, "Waaah ┭┮﹏┭┮ Flower..."

Even the three people in the living room could hear it clearly.

Ya Ya's father's hand trembled as he held the water glass, splashing water all over his hand.

But he had no time to worry about that. He quickly put down his cup and said hastily, "Excuse me for a moment..."

He walked quickly, and Lin Yan'an glanced at him before quietly petting the kitten in her arms.

Seeing this, Zhong Wan couldn't help but ask curiously, "You seem to really like Sui Sui?"

Lin Yan'an shrugged: "He's my son."

Upon hearing this, Zhong Wan couldn't help but shake her head and chuckle.

After taking a sip of water from his glass, he said, "Well, your son, you'd better take good care of him."

"Um."

Lin Yan'an didn't say much; he seemed to have really become quite addicted to petting cats.

It's rare to find animals that aren't afraid of him and are even willing to be close to him.

How could Lin Yan'an bear to refuse?

Zhong Wan put down her cup, and out of the corner of her eye, she vaguely saw something.

She quickly turned her head and looked at the drawing paper that had just been placed next to Ya Ya's father. She then hurriedly got up, picked it up, and carried it into the room.

Standing at the door, looking at Ya Ya wailing inside, and then at the two people and the cat with anxious expressions,

"Yaya, don't cry, Huahua is watching you,"

"Why can't Yaya see it?!"

Ya Ya's mother frowned, looking at the transparent figures of Hua Hua and her child, then at Ya Ya, unable to understand.

Ya Ya's father was busy comforting his child, but he kept anxiously pointing to where Hua Hua was so that Ya Ya could see her.

Upon hearing this, Zhong Wan quickly raised her hand and knocked on the door.

A "thump thump thump" sound rang out.

But apart from Hua Hua, no one paid any attention to her.

Seeing this, Zhong Wan couldn't help but clear her throat: "Ahem, excuse me."

As she spoke, she held up the drawing paper in her hand and asked, "May I come in?"

"Only after seeing this can Ya Ya see Hua Hua."

Upon hearing this, Ya Ya's mother quickly replied, "That's convenient, that's convenient."

The two exchanged drawings back and forth.

After thanking her, Ya Ya's mother quickly handed the paper to Ya Ya, saying, "Ya Ya, look, it's a flower."

Upon hearing this, Ya Ya stopped crying, turned her tear-streaked face, and reached out her little hand to take the drawing paper.

The little child held the drawing paper in both hands, looking at the two familiar kittens, one big and one small. Her little mouth twitched, and silent tears slid down her cheeks again.

It landed on the drawing paper with a "thud".

"Flower..."

"Yaya, look at the bed, Huahua is looking at you there."

Upon hearing this, Ya Ya stopped crying and quickly turned her head to look.

Seeing Huahua squatting on the bed, looking up at her, she instantly burst into laughter through her tears: "Huahua!"

She struggled in her father's arms, reaching out her little hand towards the flower.

Seeing this, Ya Ya's father quickly put her on the edge of the bed.

Excited to be free, Ya Ya reached out to hug Hua Hua, but instead hugged nothing.

Her smile froze instantly, her eyes filled with disbelief.

Tears streamed down Ya Ya's mother's face again, and Ya Ya's father's eyes were also red and swollen.

He sighed heavily, stood up, and reached out to hug Ya Ya's mother, gently comforting her as he looked at Ya Ya and said in a low voice, "Ya Ya, Hua Hua and her child are dead..."

Upon hearing this, Ya Ya was stunned. The image of the tragically killed cat flashed through her mind, and she immediately started crying and shaking her head: "Ya Ya doesn't want Hua Hua to die!"

"don't want!"

Her voice was shrill and helpless: "That cat is in so much pain, Ya Ya, don't let Hua Hua be in pain!"

"Don't let your flowery appearance die!"

"Flower stamen!"

Ya Ya's mother said in a deep voice, "I've told you before, once someone is dead, they're dead!"

"But that's only their physical death. As long as we remember them, they will live on in another way. Do you remember?"

As she spoke, Ya Ya's mother walked to Ya Ya's side, reached out and hugged her, gently nuzzling her face against hers. Looking at Hua Hua, she said softly, "Hua Hua and Zai Zai, as long as we remember them, their lives will not end."
