What's going on in Chapter 33?

What's going on in Chapter 33?

"Flower...flower...it's flower!"

Ya Ya's father's voice suddenly became hoarse. He quickly reached out and took the item, looking closely at the familiar cat on it. Then, he suddenly looked up and asked with some emotion, "You've seen Hua Hua and Zai Zai, haven't you? Where are they? Are they alright?"

As he spoke, Ya Ya's father quickly took out his phone from his pocket: "I can pay you, could you please tell me where they are?"

Looking into his expectant eyes, Zhong Wan fell silent.

She suddenly didn't know how to start the conversation.

Upon seeing this, Ya Ya's father's smile faltered. He asked somewhat anxiously and helplessly, "Wh...what happened? Is Hua Hua hurt?"

He paused for a moment, then asked in a dry voice, "Or... or do you say they're already..."

"Um."

Seeing Zhong Wan nod silently, Ya Ya's father's smile turned bitter, he staggered, and raised his hand to cover his eyes.

"I……"

"It's all my fault!"

Ya Ya's father murmured in anguish, "Why?"

"How could it have gotten lost inside the house!"

Zhong Wan took a deep breath of fresh air, suppressed the pent-up anger in her heart, and said in a deep voice, "Bad people stole them."

"What!"

Ya Ya's father, his eyes red and disbelieving, repeated, "Stolen?!"

"Yes,"

"Who is it! I knew Hua Hua was such a good girl, how could she take the baby out without telling us!"

His hands were clenched tightly, and the veins on his arms stood out.

Seeing this, Lin Yan'an stepped forward, blocking Zhong Wan's way, and looked down at the man in front of her, saying, "They've already been sent in; now is not the time to talk about this."

As he spoke, he reached into his pocket, pulled the baby out, and handed it to Ya Ya's father: "Their time doesn't come much."

"Tell us its name!"

Ya Ya's father, his hands trembling and eyes filled with tears, reached out to take the baby, but unexpectedly his hand passed right through its body.

Ya Ya's father froze.

Meow~

The familiar meow sent a shiver down Ya Ya's father's spine.

He slowly lowered his head, looked at the familiar kitten at his feet, and tears instantly welled up in his eyes.

"Flower..."

Ya Ya's father quickly squatted down, wiped his face haphazardly, looked at Hua Hua's transparent body, and forced a smile: "Hua Hua..."

He raised his hand and placed it lightly on Huahua's head, sniffed, and said with a choked voice, "I'm sorry... It's all Dad's fault for not protecting you..."

"Meow~"

Hua Hua got up and walked to his leg, tilting her head to try and rub against it, but she missed, and her body instantly dissipated into a cloud of black mist.

"Flower!"

Ya Ya's father was shocked and pained. He instinctively reached out, only to find his hands empty. Then he looked at the rising mist before him, and vaguely felt a cool breeze brush against his face before landing on the shoulder of the man in front of him.

Ya Ya's father's gaze followed Hua Hua, and he breathed a sigh of relief when he saw it reappear, perched on the man's shoulder.

He quickly stood up, looking at the two people in front of him with hopeful eyes: "Hua Hua... is there any hope for Hua Hua?"

Upon hearing this, Lin Yan'an subconsciously turned his head to look at Zhong Wan.

After seeing her gaze fall on Zhong Suisui, she also looked down at her.

Seeing this, Ya Ya's father quickly looked down as well.

Zhong Suisui, who was secretly yawning, paused, calmly finished yawning, and then shut her mouth.

It tilted its head to look at Zhong Wan, then at the flowers on Lin Yan'an's body, and sighed with some regret. [No.]

Even though she already knew the outcome, Zhong Wan still couldn't help but sigh upon hearing this.

Looking at Ya Ya's father's expectant eyes, she cruelly shook her head and said, "No."

"Besides, if you don't tell us its name soon, they're probably going to be destroyed."

Although these words sounded somewhat threatening, Zhong Wan had no choice.

Even if she felt reluctant, it was a fait accompli, and besides, she was quite materialistic.

Since we are powerless to change it, why hesitate?

Her goal is simply to make money.

Zhong Wan secretly brainwashed herself, telling herself that making money was the top priority for her!

[Tsk tsk.]

Zhong Suisui shook her head in secret disdain, tilted her head, and hid in Lin Yan'an's elbow.

Zhong Wan glanced at it but didn't say anything.

"Rui Rui! Its name is Rui Rui, its full name is Flower Rui!"

Ya Ya's father quickly shouted out, and then continued to ask, "If I said its name, will it... won't its soul be scattered?"

Not receiving any prompts, Zhong Wan frowned, reached out and grabbed Zhong Suisui by the neck, pulling her into her arms: "Suisui? What's going on?"

【The name is wrong ┓(′`)┏】

Zhong Wan, holding the cat in her arms, looked at Ya Ya's father and asked curiously, seemingly out of the blue, "Are there any other names?"

Ya Ya's father was taken aback by her question and asked in confusion, "Why do you ask that?"

Zhong Wan shrugged: "The name is wrong."

"impossible!"

Ya Ya's father was almost losing control of his voice: "This is the name I thought of for so long for our little one! How can it be wrong!"

Upon hearing this, Lin Yan'an seemed to remember something and couldn't help but ask curiously, "Didn't Ya Ya say that she was going to name the baby?"

As he spoke, he glanced curiously at the room behind Ya Ya's father and asked, "Where's Ya Ya? Is she home?"

Ya Ya's father was taken aback when he heard this, then shook his head with a wry smile and said in a hoarse voice, "Ya Ya... I witnessed a kitten's head being crushed by a car a couple of days ago, and I was quite frightened."

"I told her mother to take her back to her hometown to find someone to help her..."

The two fell silent upon hearing this.

Lin Yan'an broke the silence first, asking, "Is it convenient to call them now?"

Ya Ya's father pursed his lips, gripped the drawing paper tightly, and tentatively asked, "How much longer do Hua Hua and the others have? If it's convenient, can Ya Ya and her mother see them one last time?"

Zhong Wan hesitated for a moment, then looked down at Zhong Suisui in her arms and asked, "Suisui, how much longer do they have?"

One hour and thirty minutes.

"An hour and a half?"

Zhong Wan repeated the question, then looked up at Ya Ya's father and asked, "Is your hometown far from here? Can you get back in an hour and a half?"

"Not far, not far!"

Ya Ya's father quickly explained, "If there's no traffic, an hour should be enough if we drive fast!"

"But they live in a village, and it's not easy to find a car at this time of day. How about we drive over there?"

"Can!"

"Thank you, thank you all!"

Ya Ya's father quickly bowed and thanked him, saying, "Then we'll leave right away."

Then, somewhat hesitantly, he said, "But can you ride on my three-wheeled motorcycle?"

Zhong Wan didn't care, and couldn't help but turn her head to look at the man beside her, noticing his slightly furrowed brows.

Zhong Wan sighed softly, "Never mind, let's just drive my car there."
