Chapter 9 Look at your wings, they're shaking so badly.
Hillland is a person whose curiosity outweighs his material desires. He loves to buy interesting things. He didn't have much interest in games before, but once someone else prepared them for him, Hillland became very interested.
“I really like it, thank you Sersia,” Hillan genuinely liked it; it looked so fun, and his wife seemed to have bought a lot of different kinds of toys he might like. “I absolutely love it.”
Sersia's ears turned slightly red. "I'm glad you like it. I also bought a holographic capsule, which I can use to play games. It's the best-selling product right now, so I bought it."
As if remembering something, Sersia blankly took out her personal terminal, seemingly unable to recall anything at all. "We want to buy a robot butler. Does the male lord have any preferred types?"
Hillland was completely charmed. He joined his wife in choosing one, and they ended up picking out a very cute robot butler that should arrive today.
Hillland thought it was good; he could play games with his wife while waiting, and Sersia shouldn't be returning to the military anytime soon.
Thinking of this, Hillland went back to look at the plot again. Sersia returned to the First Army six months after killing the original Hillland. He had been lying low for too long, secretly wiping out all those who wanted to harm him. In the end, he overpowered the Alliance and returned to the position of general. No insect dared to object.
Sersia's reinstatement marks the official start of the storyline. In the early stages, the main couple is still in a state of ambiguity, discovering each other's strengths. Then, after Sersia's reinstatement, they realize the collapse of power and begin to officially cooperate.
After reading the plot, Hillan casually asked the system, "What is the protagonist doing right now?"
99 popped up quickly and whispered, "It's the same as the usual Zerg story plot. Ferris encountered a strange male Zerg like Lou Wen, and he wanted to get closer but also felt wary. Anyway, the romance is very slow, it can't compare to the host's side."
Hillland couldn't help but laugh, "What can we do? Our romantic storyline is going very smoothly."
He turned to look at the female insect helping him unpack the package. Sersia seemed to notice his gaze, quietly looked up, and then smiled obediently.
Hillland suppressed his smugness and didn't laugh out loud. When he turned around, he saw 99 laughing very silly, chuckling to himself and muttering "So cute, so cute."
Hillland finally couldn't help but laugh, humming twice, with a calm demeanor on one hand and the childishness of a high school student on the other, "I told you pure love is good enough. Even if my wife is a very suspicious person, I have my ways to deal with her."
But I still hope to continue my relationship with my wife peacefully. After all, my wife is really cute and adorable, so cute that I can't do anything about it.
Although he wasn't used to being with the Zerg at first, things got much better later on. The main reason was that his wife was wonderful; he was instantly smitten, which was unbelievable. Hillland thought he was the type to fall in love slowly and steadily, and he used to think that it wasn't good for others to fall in love at first sight, since it could be seen as lust.
Hillland blinked and couldn't help but look at his wife.
Oh my, she's so cute, like a little animal. Hillland felt that a large part of the reason he fell in love at first sight was because of Sersia's temperament.
She's clearly a cold and aloof beauty, yet she's also so obedient and adorable.
Hillland was already dying of cuteness just thinking about it.
However, considering that he always used the same few words of praise, Hillland couldn't help but fall silent.
Hillland's first reaction was "very good" and "extremely good." He could use his learned knowledge to express his feelings, but subconsciously he still preferred to use the most basic form of praise. Thinking this, Hillland had already unpacked the package, and he looked at the dazzling array of gifts with mixed feelings.
So Hillan reached out to Sersia and asked for a hug.
"Cersia, come here for a second."
Sersia put down what she was holding, got up and took a few steps forward, then slowly stopped in front of him, her movements gentle, perhaps with a hint of obedience and attachment.
He hugged Hillland's waist and buried himself in his arms. He was so close that he could smell the faint fragrance that Hillland naturally exuded, a clean and peaceful scent.
Hillland couldn't help but pat his head. Sersia was very well-behaved; when he was patted, he just slowly leaned closer, as if to let him pat her. She really looked like a cat, and was probably still comfortably riding her motorcycle right now.
A thick carpet was laid on the floor, and Hillan lifted Sersia up a little so that he could sit on his lap.
Hillland looked up at him earnestly, "How did the baby grow up before? Can you tell your husband about it?"
Sersia felt it was inappropriate to sit on the male insect's lap and talk like this. She lowered her head, her soft, snow-white hair slowly falling down, making her pale and translucent face look spotless.
Sersia the cat pursed her lips, "I started learning all sorts of knowledge when I was two years old, including physiological structure, Alliance culture, history, mechs, and some skills that nobles must master."
Sersia listed a series of courses that sounded very expensive and high-end.
Hillland listened intently, and when he saw Sersia's hair hanging down, he couldn't resist twirling it around his fingertips and playing with it.
Sersia saw it all clearly. When her gaze fell on his slender, smooth fingertips, her originally slowed speech faltered several times, and her cheeks flushed red.
"...I was already a major general when I was 18, and now I'm 24, and I've only been a general for a year."
He paid an immeasurable price for this. The female insects were highly competitive, and he hadn't slept for a long time, dealing with various matters and commanding various battles.
But in the end, it ended up like this.
Sersia didn't like to wallow in self-pity. Although there was nothing he could do right now, taking a break to recuperate and lie low for a while wasn't a bad thing.
He even met the male insect he wanted to spend his life with.
Sersia's eyes flickered, and she gently and proactively hugged Hillan's neck, letting herself sit on his lap.
Hillland thought the position looked like holding a baby, so she stopped playing with his hair, smiled, and patted Sersia's back as if she were patting him to sleep.
“That baby is amazing,” Hillland thought of his past. “I like reading and I don’t like making friends, but other people like to be my friends. I’ve never maintained any relationships since I was a child. People just follow me around and do whatever I ask them to do. I even went to gather my friends to skip class together before.”
Okay, he was just good at academics, but he was just as playful. Later, his parents found out that he had led a bunch of kids to skip gym class, and he was fined a month's allowance. It was a painful lesson.
However, Hillland didn't change. In junior high, she didn't want to attend her homeroom teacher's evening self-study session, so she slipped out the back door while the teacher was writing lesson plans because she was too hungry and wanted to eat something. She ended up getting an upset stomach and had to stay home for a week.
When I was a child, I found it very fun and enjoyable, but as I grew up, I started to think he was really bad. Putting myself in the teacher's shoes, I was completely shocked, and my career almost came to an end.
Hillan still feels a little guilty when he thinks about it now.
Sersia found it novel, but easy to understand. He was just a little curious about how Hillan addressed him. "My lord, what does 'others' mean?"
Hillland blinked. "It means other insects."
Sersia blankly agreed.
Hillland was genuinely charmed by his wife's cuteness and couldn't help but pat her on the shoulder before continuing, "When I was little, I was really naughty. I organized a group of kids from school to visit the grandpas and grandmas at the nursing home. They thought it was a school event, but since they didn't see a teacher leading the group, they sent us back. As the ringleader, I was fined a month's allowance, which was two hundred yuan."
Two hundred is a huge sum of money for a primary school student from an ordinary family!
Hillland went on and on about his school days.
Sersia listened intently, but became increasingly confused. Only after Hillan finished speaking did she whisper, "Master, were you pretending to be a female insect to go to school all this time?"
Hillland sighed.
He was so relaxed that he didn't take it seriously that he was an Earthling and not a male insect, but it didn't matter, his wife's attitude had already provided him with a good reason.
Oh my, my wife is so cute.
“Of course not,” Hillland raised his hand, brushed a strand of the female insect’s hair behind her ear, and gazed at her quiet and beautiful face. “I’m not Hillland, baby. I’m someone else, so I have a different life from him, my wife.”
“It’s very safe where I live, completely different from here.”
Hillland smiled, her eyes crinkling. "If possible, I'd like to bring Sersia back to my hometown. My family would love you."
The young couple, 99 System, were only focused on laughing, thinking there was absolutely no problem. They even waved their limbs and shook themselves wildly in a place where Sersia couldn't hear them.
"Yes, yes, host, I knew it was the right thing to do to bring you here. This is too pure and innocent, I can't take it anymore."
99 collapsed to the ground with a thud.
Hillland wanted to reply, but he didn't have time.
The female insect on his body didn't seem surprised by his words. Instead, she lowered her eyes and slowly bowed her head, making the already close distance even more intense.
Cecilia's hair fell down one side, landing lightly on his shoulder with her movements.
He looked intently at Hillland, then touched his cheek as if to confirm something. His palm was rough and warm from years of fighting. His tone was soft. "Isn't the male lord the male insect here?"
Hillland felt his cheek suddenly become very hot. He nodded, subconsciously turning his head away to avoid the scorching breath, innocently covering his face, only revealing his reddened earlobes. "Mmm, the master isn't a bug here. The master came from another place far away. He's a rather upright human. Husband isn't a bug."
Speaking of bugs, Hillan put down her hand, blinked, and asked, "What kind of bug is Baby?"
No wonder male rulers don't understand physiology.
Sersia was embarrassed, but then she took the initiative to open her wings and said, "Husband, female insects have wings, and male insects have tail hooks. We are not a species."
The wings of female insects are linked to their physical condition; the stronger the wings, the richer and more translucent the colors, and the more resilient and delicate they are.
Sersia's wings are like shattered prisms, colorful yet not glaring or gaudy, with a texture like ice crystal glass.
very beautiful.
Hillland's eyes sparkled, filled with such beautiful colors.
He touched it gently, and when his fingertips touched the wings, the female insect in his arms trembled slightly, as if she was too sensitive to do anything.
Hillland felt he should stop, but his body moved uncontrollably to express his true feelings.
He gently touched the base of the winged plant, his movements tender.
In an instant, Sersia seemed to have completely lost control, collapsing uncontrollably into his arms.
The beautiful wings trembled innocently. Hillan saw the fine, shimmering scales falling from them, and absentmindedly...
“Sercia,”
"You're shaking so badly."
