Chapter 17 Chat: I'm here to find my baby.
The reformatory has a very healthy schedule. You get up at 7:00, have breakfast at 7:20, and start preparations for study at 8:00. You can go to one of the adjacent buildings to watch a movie, play billiards, go swimming, or do some crafts. There will be a teacher accompanying you.
It's almost more comfortable than retirement, and it doesn't cost any money. Moreover, the schedule is very sparse. It's not a labor camp at all; it's more like a period of physical and mental recuperation.
After the free time here, we will start a one-hour class at 10:30 and finish at 11:30. Then we will have lunch, take a nap at 1:00, and then class will start again at 2:30 and continue until 4:00. After that, we will have afternoon tea and class will continue at 5:00 and finish completely at 6:00.
The courses here are just as Hillland imagined: flower arranging, handicrafts, sand painting, pottery, crochet, and occasionally photography assignments. They are mostly time-consuming and tedious. Finally, there is a basic knowledge class once a week, where the teacher teaches some basic legal knowledge.
Learning boring things is meant to prevent male insects from becoming interested in learning. They are inherently unable to calm down, let alone learn anything. Even popularized laws are practically useless, as no male insect is willing to listen. So, it's basically just talking about some very simple common sense.
Hillland pondered for a long time, looked at the electronic version of the book that had been sent to him, blinked, and couldn't help but feel that it was really a bit too lenient.
The teaching materials are very simple. For example, they teach common knowledge about insects, such as not killing insects, not stealing, and that when a male insect marries a female, the female insect will give half of her property to the male insect, unlike female servants and slaves who hand over all their property. The female insect has the right to control half of her property... and so on.
These are all the courses in the identification code. This identification code can be used to browse most learning websites, but it needs to be protected, such as with a VPN. 99 will help it out, so it's not a big deal.
Thinking this, the male insects became very annoyed when they saw that he didn't speak. "Hey, new guy, why aren't you saying anything? Are you mute?"
Miaoqie was the worst; she even reached out to shove him, displaying her usual arrogant and spoiled attitude, yelling, "What did you do to those female insects? Tell me! Did you enjoy it? It's a pity we can't play with them now, what a shame..."
Hillland initially didn't want to do anything, but after thinking it over carefully, she decided it was best not to hold back.
Before Mouche could finish speaking, his outstretched hand was gripped tightly, so tightly that he couldn't break free at all. He couldn't budge it even an inch with both hands and could only struggle with a flushed face.
"What are you doing! Let me go!"
Hearing the male insect's call, Hillland smiled faintly, slowly tightening his grip so tight that Mouche felt as if his hand was about to break.
The pampered male insect, never before treated like this, was instantly enraged. Before he even realized he was in trouble, he struggled frantically. When he realized he couldn't break free, he screamed, tears streaming down his face, "You wretched insect, let me go! How dare you treat me like this? Do you know who I am? Let me go!!!"
The blond-haired Haibi stared wide-eyed, too scared to react. He really didn't dare to get any closer to Hillland. This new male insect was a complete monster; who would dare to approach him!
Lippers, who was on the other side, still had some sense. He really didn't dare to see the deputy governor's precious son being bullied like this, but he suppressed his fear and tremblingly prepared to break up the fight.
Hillland thought he could take as many as he wanted, and readily accepted the intimidated Lippers who had come to his door. He grabbed Lippers and pulled the two male insects down onto the table, pinning them firmly to it.
This wasn't an excessive action, but for a male insect that was extremely proud, it was humiliating enough.
Sure enough, the male insects under his hands were struggling frantically, even though Hillan's hands did not look strong, but rather long and beautiful.
But at this moment, those beautiful hands were pressing down on them, making it hard for them to breathe. They were forced to awkwardly press themselves against the table, facing each other's faces.
With a half-smile, he smiled as several controllers behind him entered. He gently tucked his fingers together and said in a soft voice, "We're just playing around, aren't we?"
The controllers dared not approach, fearing that Hillan might impulsively injure the other two males, which would be disastrous for the powerful figures! A large number of them would likely die! Who could they complain to?
"Calm down, Your Excellency, calm down..."
Guan was so scared he almost fainted.
Hillland ignored them, only increasing the pressure on her hands, finding it amusing, "What? Are you mute?"
He finished speaking with a smile, but because his back was to the camera and the controller, his tone was cool: "If you dare to say the wrong thing, be careful when you sleep tonight, or you might accidentally fall and turn into a pulp. Don't blame me for not warning you."
Miao Qie was furious, but he was even more afraid that this wretched creature would actually be secretly thrown out the window. He nodded hurriedly, terrified, "Yes, yes, we're just playing, we're just playing."
Seeing that he had spoken, Lippers saw no need to be stubborn anymore and simply gave in, "Yes, yes, yes!"
Miao Qie was furious, cursing a string of profanities in his mind, wishing he could curse Hilllan's ancestors for eighteen generations.
Damn it, this is really a ghost story. If it weren't for the bugs at home trying to teach him a lesson, this A-grade commoner male bug wouldn't be able to get on his head.
I'm so angry at that bastard!!! Just you wait, I'll make him pay!
The controller standing nearby was extremely worried, his heart was in his throat, and he was extremely anxious, but he didn't dare to interfere too much. "Sir...Sir, please let go quickly. If something really happens, you won't be able to get out. What's the point of this?"
Hillland remained smiling, appearing quite approachable. He sighed softly and patted the cheeks of the two male insects in a friendly manner, but his eyes were incredibly cold, and the hand he patted on their faces felt colder and more piercing than a knife tip.
"I quite like the male insect's tail hook; after all, it's more valuable for collecting than the female's wings, isn't it? What do you guys look like...?"
Hillland lowered his head slightly, looking into their eyes, and said in a low voice, "I'm curious to know."
All the male insects were terrified and began to scream in agony.
Hillland was laughing so hard she was practically going crazy. She tried her best to hold back her laughter, but her lips still twitched a little. This made her even more terrifying in the eyes of the male insects, who trembled and felt waves of phantom pain in their buttocks.
"No, no, I'm just kidding, it's really true."
Damn it, you can't mess with a lunatic! If they really cut it open, it's all over.
Besides, what kind of male insect is it without a tail hook? It's useless!
The controller saw that they had become harmonious again and, without suspecting that they had been threatened, went out again.
The three male insects felt pain in their tail hooks and dared not sit in front of Hillan, much less let him sit in front of them. The three pitifully huddled in the corner, like quails that had fallen into the water.
"This male insect is terrifying. How can any female insect dare to be with him? No wonder he came in. It's all because of the insects' poor work. They probably killed all the female insects who were willing to be with him. It's so scary. I didn't know insects could really do this. I'm really scared. I want to go home."
"The female insect that came to deliver it to him must have been coerced. It's terrifying, even more terrifying than me."
Haibi wept bitterly, vowing never to provoke Hillan, that perverted lunatic, again.
Seeing that the male insects had finally behaved themselves, Hillland clapped his hands, feeling quite pleased with his successful prank, which would save those male insects from constantly running into him.
With that in mind, he went to the other two buildings to find something to do. For the first two and a half hours, he could choose to attend a class or do other things on his own. He wanted to find a place to video call his wife.
Sersia definitely didn't expect him to video call her, hmph.
Overjoyed, Hillan walked quickly, following the signs to the flower cultivation area. He sat down in the rest pavilion and secretly sent a message to Sersia.
Hillan: Moshi Moshi, is my baby here?
Hillland: I'm here to see my female lord, yes, he's my baby.
Hillland: It's been a while since I left home. I wonder if he misses me. (Lifts a stone)
Hillan: (Running around)
Sersia was following up on the clues, along with some other miscellaneous matters. Upon seeing Hillan's message, her eyes flickered for a moment, then softened considerably.
Sersia mimicked his tone and replied to him.
Sersia: There's a baby here.
Sersia: Your baby misses you. (Picks up)
Sersia: (wagging her tail)
Hillland thought he would have to wait a while, and while resting his chin on the stone table, he was overwhelmed with delight upon seeing Sersia's message.
Hillland: (pats) (seriously) Baby, why are you so silly? Don't you know how to find a husband?
Hillland: (Sneaks a pinch on the kitten's tail)
When Sersia saw the reply, her pupils trembled, and the tips of her ears turned bright red.
