The farce ended with the train conductor's intervention, mainly because Shekh's attention was drawn away when he heard there would be new tricks to play later.
The couple were given complimentary drinks and returned to their room, while the cake and wine she had requested were brought to their new seats.
She took a sip of the sweet wine, which had little to no alcohol taste, and then placed a rose wreath on her head.
"It suits you."
"I'm not suited to bring this."
"I like it when you wear it."
“…Alright then.” Shi Jinzhe handed over the wine. “Try it.”
Shech took a small sip, then pursed her lips: "Strange, bitter." She took another sip, then pushed the glass away. "It doesn't taste good."
"Then let's try this one."
Unlike the one he had just drunk, the color of the "Death in the Afternoon" glass in Shi Jinzhe's hand looked very refreshing, like milk diluted with water.
"Will you die after drinking it? Otherwise, why would it be called that?"
"He won't die. It was created by a great writer; it's just called that."
Shekh took a small lick with some skepticism, and the herbal taste hit him like a ton of bricks, bitter and strangely indescribable.
"You drink it yourself."
Her illusions about alcohol were shattered; she lost even interest in the pink, sweet wine.
Watching Shi Jinzhe drink that stuff, Sher's gaze shifted from the rim of the cup to his Adam's apple as he swallowed.
"You like it? Don't you find it hard to drink?"
"I don't like it. I don't like drinking alcohol." Shi Jinzhe asked the waiter to bring her a glass of oolong sparkling water so that eating only cake wouldn't be too cloying.
"What about the cigarettes?" Sheh smelled the tobacco in the air, moved closer to him, and hooked his neck, almost hanging on Shi Jinzhe's body.
"I also don't like smoking."
Shi Jinzhe took off the incongruous flower wreath from her head. "Don't you still feel like you want to change back?"
“No, it’s been almost five hours, and I show no signs of turning back,” Shekh said with a hint of regret. “I spent so much time evolving, but it turns out that sleeping with you is faster than anything else.”
"Luckily, your words were hidden in the music and no one heard them. Don't say them outside in the future, or people will misunderstand."
Shekh extracted the key point from this statement: "Can we say it if we're not outside?"
"No one can."
"Let's go back now." She stood up from the sofa. She had heard a lot of unfamiliar words in this carriage tonight, and she could ask her teacher about them when she got back.
Shekh roughly understood that those words were rather private and couldn't be said in public, so he decided to find another place to say them.
"Aren't you going to watch the show? We've been waiting here for ages."
Just as Shi Jinzhe finished reminding her, the soft jazz music stopped, and rhythmic drumbeats began. The lights dimmed again, turning into a blue-purple ambient light.
Upon hearing the very first line of this song, a bad premonition immediately arose.
Sure enough, a hot and passionate dancer and a male dancer wearing a black see-through shirt appeared from the two ends of the path.
As they walked through the crowd, two dancers, their curves intertwined, accompanied by the song "Shake That," the midnight theater officially began.
Shech sat back down. "So that's where the ticket prices are."
"...Didn't you want to go back?"
"There's no rush." Shekh was completely unaware that there was anything he shouldn't be looking at. "Won't you be cold dancing dressed like that? You twist like a snake, it's really beautiful, but that sparkly dress is a bit too flashy."
"If it's good, you only need to look at half of it."
Shi Jinzhe lowered his head, silently counting down the time in his mind, thinking that he should finish the dance quickly so that he could leave.
This retro train is actually quite trendy.
If he had known this was the new trick, he would have dragged Shekh back long ago.
"But I want to watch it all." She stared intently at the sexy woman's swaying waist.
The tassels swung around her, and the more she jumped, the less clothing she wore, clinging to her male companion behind her. As they twisted and turned, the sheer black shirt somehow ended up on the woman, like magic.
"Are you really not going to watch it? I find it very alluring."
"I don't like watching dancing."
"Don't love me? Sheikh's face showed a look that said, 'What nonsense are you talking about?' 'This afternoon you were saying I was swaying like that...'"
Shi Jinzhe covered her mouth: "You're not dancing, how can others compare to you?"
He didn't know where the dance was going, but his intuition told him he couldn't let Sheikh watch any longer.
He helped the person up and walked back.
Shekh: "We haven't even recouped our investment yet."
The main reason was that the dance was so amazing; I had never seen anything like it before, and I didn't get enough of it.
"No need to look, just come with me and it will be worth it."
Shi Jin opened the door, leaving that somewhat awkward carriage, passed through the other carriages, and made his way back to his room.
Shekh thought that once he returned, some things would inevitably happen.
However, Shi Jinzhe only held her in his arms for one night, and did the same for the next three days.
Half an hour before getting off the bus, Shech lay on the sofa and sighed to himself, "The first two days felt like a wet dream I had."
Shi Jinzhe was packing his luggage with his back to her, and because of what Shehe said, his movements of pulling the zipper on his suitcase were not smooth.
"I'm afraid of something unexpected happening."
He had considered what might happen on this trip and made some preparations, but no amount of preparation was enough when facing Shekh.
“My mother was able to give birth to me from a tree, so who knows what might happen if there are no protective measures? Besides, you and I are from two different worlds. If you really get pregnant, let's not even talk about what kind of baby will be born. Will the child survive? Will you be in danger? It's inconvenient for you to go to the hospital, so what will happen if any problems arise?”
There are currently no good solutions to these problems. I know you're very capable and perhaps not afraid, but even if you're not afraid, you'll still suffer a lot. It's better to prevent future problems from the root.
Shech listened patiently, then placed her feet, which were dangling off the sofa, on his shoulder. "You want to stay with me forever, afraid that something will happen to me."
"You're so smart, here's a piece of candy for you." Shi Jinzhe tossed a piece of candy behind him. "My parents have already made a mistake, we don't need to repeat it."
No, it won't.
With the candy in his mouth, Shehe thought of the floral clothes Mu Bai had mentioned, and how he had helped Bai Weishuang break through the world passage.
Her parents were also involved in her past, especially Bai Weishuang. In those forgotten memories, she must have been a very important person to her.
“We won’t go down the same old wrong path.” Sheh pulled his leg back, lay down on Shi Jin’s back, and pressed his face against his: “Let’s correct the mistakes.”
Shi Jinzhe tilted his head slightly: "What you said makes me very hopeful for the future."
After a five-day, four-night journey, they got off the train in a southern city.
Shi Jin booked the earliest flight back home and also booked a hotel.
Meng Chengxi has agreed to his request, and there is no need for him to stay outside any longer.
Shekh followed him into the room, his expression flat, "You were saying all those nice things an hour ago, doesn't that make you look foolish?"
"Didn't you want to correct the mistake?"
"Yes, but what does correcting mistakes have to do with sleeping with you?"
"Just a heads up, my skill is linked to both of us. Although it's not as effective as it is in the game, it will still have a subtle influence in the original world."
"so?"
As Shi Jinzhe spoke, he realized he was being too ulterior motives and couldn't help but laugh: "So I'm here to help you evolve."
