A huge open-air maze, with torrential rain pouring down.
A young man in his early twenties was forced to retreat step by step by three burly men.
Shi Jinzhe stood in the blood, his eyes, hidden beneath wet hair, were bloodshot and weary from lack of rest.
He thought his life, marked by abandonment by his biological parents, adoption by a wealthy family, and then abandonment again, was already full of ups and downs. He never expected that after hitting rock bottom, God would give him another chance.
From being seen as a prodigy to becoming a destitute and homeless person, and then being bound to this unjustly designed survival game, subjected to various restrictions and differential treatment, it seems that his misfortune was destined from the very beginning.
Shi Jin sighed and tried his best to be optimistic, thinking that all the bad luck should be over and he would never be unlucky again.
He looked up and saw the burly man in front of him holding a knife, still closing in.
Raindrops splattered on the ground, creating ripples that reflected two blurry, opposing images.
"My older brother is asking you a question! Answer him!"
"Yeah, are you mute? Speak up!"
Stopping his retreat, Shi Jinzhe thought that if he could get out of this maze alive today, then there would probably be a miracle happening.
"I really thought you were some big shot I could order around, but you actually dared to play me for a fool?"
The burly man at the head gritted his teeth, still consumed by anger at being deceived by Shi Jinzhe.
He was like a monkey in a circus, jumping into several traps set by this person, being completely fooled by a worthless nobody.
The thought of having to fawn over this pretty boy in front of his underlings filled the big man with shame and humiliation!
He must get back the face he lost!
The burly man threatened menacingly, "You'd better be smart and hand over the maze key right now, or I'll..."
He was speaking when a dull thud suddenly came from the wall on his left.
The four looked in the direction of the sound and saw water droplets splashing everywhere from the surface of the white marble wall.
"Oh no, the monsters from this level of the maze are chasing us!"
Thinking of that monster, the big man spat angrily.
The maze monsters here are covered in foul-smelling slime, their bodies are covered in sharp teeth, and they are very fast. Once they catch you, their huge mouths will immediately devour you, leaving not even bones behind.
The big man cursed, "Damn it, I'm so unlucky to have been found by this thing."
This person tricked me out of all my props, and it's too dangerous to stay here. I have to move first.
He glared fiercely at Shi Jinzhe. Since the man was covered in blood, he might as well leave him there to lure the monsters and buy them time to escape!
"I'll let you off this time!"
Before leaving this dead end, the big man made a threatening statement to Shi Jinzhe, and then he and the other two hurriedly moved away using the remaining props.
Bang!
The stone wall was struck again, and a crack that snaked downwards appeared on it.
Shi Jinzhe was left alone in this dead-end alley, his white shirt stained with blood, and he began to run towards the dead end.
He ripped off the tie used to bandage his wound, revealing the gaping wound, and while running, he used his hands to pry out the maze key hidden deep in the wound.
"Luckily, I made sure to keep the maze key."
He originally thought that as long as he had the only key, he could either kill him so that no one could get out, or negotiate with him for a win-win situation.
Who knew that this group of people acted without thinking, only thinking about hoarding everything for themselves, and they chose the worst possible time to discard their usefulness.
The blood on the key was washed away by the rain, and sensing the key, a white wall appeared at the end of the road.
Shi Jin shoved his wet hair back, revealing a face with a slightly melancholic air. His handsome eyebrows cast shadows on his eyelids, and his fatigue made his expressionless face appear cold and indifferent.
With no obstruction to his view, he aimed at the keyhole and inserted the key.
Crimson paint splashes onto the white wall before you, and you must submit the correct answer to leave the maze while you wait.
If the answer is correct, the white wall will open, allowing the player to leave the instance.
Behind them, as the stone wall continued to crash, rubble rolled down, and the shallow cracks from before had widened downwards, revealing sharp, lightning-like marks.
With a loud crash, half of the wall collapsed. Shi Jin turned around and looked out, his gaze falling on the monster with its mouth full of teeth.
The monster became even more excited, howling from every mouth on its body, and its violent ramming made the walls shake precariously.
A foul stench filled the air, and Shi Jinzhe realized that with each passing second, his life drew one step closer to death.
This is the 11th day of this instance. He is under constant tension, physically exhausted, hungry and tired. These negative conditions continue to torment him.
I could tolerate it for the first week or so, but these past few days, all I've been given is apples. After eating them for several days in a row, my stomach is churning with acid, which is very difficult to endure.
His blood-stained fingers quickly wrote the answer to the riddle. In the few seconds that he waited for Bai Bi to verify it, Shi Jin folded his back and dripped foul-smelling saliva.
He dodged to the side, and just as he was about to be swallowed, the white wall opened, and he immediately slipped inside.
The monster was blocked by an invisible force. Before he could even relax, Shi Jinzhe looked up and found that he was still in the maze.
Before me were still high white marble walls, with countless branching paths, and it was raining heavily again. There was no exit from the instance at all.
