Chapter 10 Charity Activities (5)

After the kitchen was inspected, Shi Jinzhe walked around the courtyard a few more times but found nothing else unusual.

The clock in the small building has ticked to the number 10. It's 10 p.m., not a good time to wander around outside any longer.

He returned to the second floor and saw Xu Jialu leaving his room with a bad expression. When she opened the door, Shi Jinzhe heard Xie Man's voice coming from inside.

The door to the room opposite opened, and the burly man leaned against the doorway: "She wanted your girlfriend to change rooms. She talked to her through the door for half an hour, but no one inside paid any attention to her."

"Thank you for reminding me."

Shi Jin turned around and went back to his room, quickly closing the door. Xu Jialu was too anxious, and her ulterior motives were written all over her face. It seems that her two successful attempts were true.

Shekh sat quietly by the bed, his posture exactly the same as when he left, perhaps a result of spending too much time inside the stone statue.

He turned off the light, and some light from the corridor shone through the small window in the door. It was frosted glass, so it wasn't completely dark. He carefully walked over and sat down on the edge of the bed.

I wonder how snakes sleep; do they coil up in a ball?

Where does she sleep, with such a big bundle of fur?

Shi Jinzhe couldn't possibly sleep on the ground. It was so cold in the mountains; if he slept on the ground, he would get sick the next morning. Getting sick during a five-day dungeon run would be a huge problem.

Shehe awoke from her deep sleep, and the sensation in her hands told her that Shi Jinzhe had returned.

She twisted her waist, stretched, and yawned, revealing two tubular fangs protruding from her mouth, making everyone watching very nervous.

After relaxing, he gave the order: "Shoes."

Shi Jinzhe took her hand and bent down to get her shoes.

One of his slippers was missing. He got off the bed and knelt on one knee, guessing that it had been swept off the bed by the snake's tail.

He leaned down and saw the lost slipper underneath, but it was a bit deep, so he had to go in and get it.

The bed wasn't very high, so he had to lie flat on his back to get in and reach for the shoe.

As Shi Jinzhe prepared to leave, he took a second look under the bed. Everything was normal; there were no secret messages, scratches, or anything else that you'd find in horror movies.

The dust falling from the bed frame was choking, so I deliberately moved very quietly for fear of making too much noise and causing even more dust to fall.

In the quiet room, Sheikh remained silent. If it weren't for the fact that they were still holding hands, he would have thought he was the only one left in the room.

Suddenly, a hissing sound came from the previously silent room.

It was right by the door of the room. Although it was very faint, I had heard the sound in the kitchen just two hours ago, so it was impossible for me to be mistaken.

It's that thing that finished gnawing on the wooden plank.

Shi Jinzhe slowly turned his head and looked out from under the bed. He held his breath for a moment and saw a pair of pale, twisted feet standing in the doorway.

She had very small feet and was wearing loose-fitting navy blue capri pants. Her left foot was broken, still attached to the skin and flesh.

The owner of these feet couldn't be very old. Through the gaps under the bed, he could see that there were many small, broken wounds on the feet.

The feet moved, heading straight for the bed. The sound of gnawing on the wooden planks grew closer and clearer, carrying a faint, almost imperceptible, smell of blood.

The hand that remained outside the bed made it clear to the owner of those feet that someone was hiding under the bed.

The dark blue trousers were slightly pulled up, longer in the front and shorter in the back, and black hair hung down. The thing was bending over, trying to look under the bed!

A chill ran through the air. Shi Jinzhe's Adam's apple bobbed as he gripped Sheh's hand with a little force, signaling that she could move!

But then the hand that had been clasped with his suddenly withdrew...

Time is running out: ...

More and more strands of hair were hanging down, and in his tense state, he saw his forehead, which was not covered by hair, at an angle perpendicular to the ground.

Even when a normal person bends over to look down, their head is tilted and pointing vertically downwards. This person isn't looking down upside down, so what kind of bizarre posture is this?

No wonder the mission says to survive for five days if you succeed. If there are supernatural elements, it is probably a survival game. This is clearly a nested dungeon that includes both survival and puzzle-solving!

For a puzzle game like this, there's no need to half-conceal the types of dungeons.

The sound of chewing on the wooden board was right in front of him. Shi Jinzhe was enveloped in a thick, cold atmosphere. The bed was against two walls and against a wardrobe on one side, and this one way out was blocked.

His pupils already reflected the thing's eyebrows; a little lower and he would be face to face with it.

Suddenly, a purple snake tail dangled down from the bedside, blocking their view of each other. Then, with a "bang," the thing was flung away by Shekh's tail.

Shi Jinzhe emerged from under the bed, took a deep breath, took her hand again, and sat down by the bedside.

"I thought you couldn't see that thing. If I had been two seconds later, I would have been in the same category as it."

"It rubbed my tail dirty."

"...What if it hadn't gotten dirty?"

"I'll wait for you to get me my shoes."

Got it. Shekh really didn't want to bother with him. That tail was just because she was unhappy about being rubbed against him. Saving him was a fluke.

Shekh, unaware of his thoughts, simply stretched out his foot: "Wear it."

"Are you going out again?"

"sleep."

Shi Jinzhe sighed and stood up from the ground: "You don't need to wear shoes to sleep."

"What about the clothes?"

Sher's head swayed from side to side with his movements. When he saw her, he lifted her legs and placed them on the bed, then straightened her skirt to cover her ankles, and finally pulled the blanket over her.

"You should wear this."

Throughout the entire process, Shi Jinzhe kept his eyes fixed on the back of his hand, which would sometimes transform into a snake's tail and sometimes into legs. There were some things he couldn't think about in detail.

He took a long stride and rolled over to lie on the inside of the bed. If the dirty thing wanted to touch him again, it would have to get past Shekh on the outside first.

"What do you want to eat after you go out? I'll cook it for you. I know how to make soy sauce chicken, it's very delicious. Do you want some?"

Shi Jinzhe closed his eyes, not expecting Shekh to respond.

He only hoped that the snake would take pity on him and protect him. He had just come out of another game that morning and was exhausted. He needed to rest now.

Sher heard his breathing gradually calming down, his mind filled with the soy sauce chicken Shi Jinzhe had mentioned. He looked up and stared at the things on the ceiling, a snake and a ghost, neither of them moving.

A minute later, the ghost left, and she closed her eyes.

The two people who had already fallen asleep were completely unaware that the commotion caused by the tail had made the people in the other five rooms very uneasy.

Huang Shanhe and Qi Yin shared a room, the second one on the left, right next to each other.

"Did something just happen next door?"

Hearing Qi Yin come out of the bathroom, Huang Shanhe quickly put away the props and laid down the bed sheet to cover the traces left by the charcoal.

"No, I don't know either. I just heard a bang, and then there was no more sound."

He clutched the piece of charcoal in his pocket, a tool he had picked up in the kitchen.

Item: [Lost Charcoal] x2

Effect: A one-time use item that draws an area no larger than 2m*2m with charcoal. Within this area, the user can withstand attacks for 6 hours.

Six hours, and I'll be sharing a room with a pro who's cleared the dungeon five times, so there shouldn't be any problems.
