Chapter 74

Chapter 74

"You are so shameless." Before Lin Gui could say anything, the young lady next to her started cursing.

"That's right, we rescued the dog, and now you say it's yours. How speechless." People at the base also spoke up.

The white-haired middle-aged man refused to give in and continued to play dirty with Lin Gui and the others: "This is our dog, the offspring of our big dog. We couldn't rescue it before, but now that we've rescued it, of course it belongs to us."

"Bullshit, what evidence do you have to prove that it was your dog who did it? Where is your dog?" Lin Gui was so angry that she wanted to swear.

"What does our dog's location have to do with you? If you don't believe me, just ask them. They also know that our dog gave birth recently." The middle-aged man with white hair pointed his finger at his neighbor, the family that had just asked Lin Gui for money.

"Don't look at us. We don't know whether your dog has given birth or not. How would I know? Besides, didn't you sell your dog?" The family was just watching the fun and didn't want to get involved.

"You sold your dog and still say this is your dog's offspring. You are so shameless." Lin Gui's face turned black. It was really infuriating.

"What's wrong with selling it? We raised it just to sell it. Now that it's no use after giving birth, isn't it right to sell it?" the white-haired man said in a normal tone.

"If you're capable, bring its mother here and we'll do a paternity test. If you're not capable, get out of here." Lin Gui and a group of people behind him waved his hand away and left with the puppy.

There were many boys coming to the base, and they all acted like they were not to be messed with. The middle-aged man with white hair was the only one here, and he really didn't dare to stop Lin Gui.

But that didn't stop him from threatening: "You are robbing me. I will sue you."

Lin Gui opened the car door, looked back at him and said, "Go call the police, go now. Let me tell you, I am very familiar with the police station." After that, she left with the puppy.

After their car left, the two onlookers went up to the white-haired man and asked, "Hey, is this really your dog? You didn't really bring it in, did you? It's so wicked! Not only did you sell your own dog, but you also did this?"

"You are the wicked one. I can see that you are the type who turn a blind eye when something happens." The white-haired middle-aged man was dissatisfied with the couple for not standing on the same side with him, and started arguing with her.

"What kind of person am I? I won't do anything wrong. We can't learn the crap that your family has." The woman from that family spoke in a sarcastic tone, as if she was hinting at something.

"Who are you calling a bitch?" The middle-aged man's eyes turned red and he waved his hands at her as if he wanted to fight her to the death.

She was stopped by her husband halfway through swinging her hand: "Are you blind? You even dare to hit my wife." Then she started to hit the old man.

The old man was not willing to be outdone and fought back, cursing all the time. The quarrel between the two was so loud that the neighbors behind came to watch.

Suddenly a voice came: "Have you had enough fighting?"

When I looked up, I saw a figure standing on the second-floor window. It was a man about 20 years old.

Hearing his voice, the old man stopped and looked up attentively to the person upstairs and said, "Son, did I disturb you? Go study quickly. Dad will take care of this."

His son ignored him and slammed the window shut.

The couple who had stopped fighting didn't say anything bad to the old man. Instead, they returned home and continued to complain: "His son is so precious. He has repeated the college entrance examination for the third time, and it seems that he will not pass it."

"He's quite thoughtful. There were so many people around and the noise was so loud, but he didn't come down."

"That's right. His wife was so angry that she divorced him. I suspect that the puppy was thrown away by his son. Sometimes I see him looking gloomy alone. You have to pay attention to them when I'm not at home." said the husband.

"Of course. Luckily, my child is studying and living in the city. Next year, we will go to the city to work. Farming doesn't make much money."

"I'll do as you say. Luckily their dog was bought by someone who came here to fish, otherwise they would still be suffering."

"Hey, that puppy is really his dog's offspring, otherwise how could a puppy suddenly appear?"

"Who knows? Maybe it was stolen from somewhere."

Lin Gui asked the people at the base to send the kind young lady home first, and also give her a big bag of blind boxes of snacks from the snack shop. She then took the puppy to the hospital.

Along the way, the puppy may have known that it had left that small and claustrophobic environment, and its whining became quieter, but Lin Gui was even more worried. He thought that the puppy might not be able to hold on any longer, so he drove at the speed limit all the way.

When they arrived at the hospital, Jiang Li was still there. Half an hour before the end of the get off work day, Lin Gui rushed to his office with the puppy in her arms. Seeing that she came with a strange puppy, Jiang Li gave up the golden retriever in his hand that had been acting coquettishly with him and refused to take medicine, and ran straight to Lin Gui.

"What's going on? Did something happen?" Jiang Li took the puppy wrapped in clothes from Lin Gui's hand and checked its heartbeat, breathing, etc.

Lin Gui waited until Jiang Li finished the examination and found out that he didn't say anything serious, so she felt relieved. She told Jiang Li about how she had fought with wits and courage to save the puppy that afternoon.

"It's so shameless." Lin Gui drank a glass of water in one breath and put the glass down and said.

Jiang Li carefully treated the puppy's scratches, applied medicine, and acted as a patient listener.

009 popped up: "I said the puppy wasn't seriously injured, host, you didn't believe me."

“I believe it, but the eyes look scary,” Lin Gui explained in his mind.

Jiang Li comforted Lin Gui, "Sometimes you will always encounter unreasonable people, and the only way to suppress them is to be more unreasonable than them."

"Yes, yes, I'm so angry. I really hope this world will be more kind to kittens, puppies and other small animals." Lin Gui looked forward to it.

"Of course you will. Aren't you already doing these things?" Jiang Li said with a smile, "Save them one by one, and everything will be fine."

While chatting, the puppy's injuries were treated. Jiang Li was very gentle, but it was inevitable that he would touch the skin and flesh. The puppy curled up every time he touched it, but it seemed to know that someone was saving it, so it didn't groan loudly.

"This puppy should be only about one month old. Remember to vaccinate it when the time comes," Jiang Li advised.

"Of course, I hope that after getting the vaccine, it will still remember you as its savior and won't be afraid of you," Lin Gui joked.

"To be honest, you are its savior. It is very lucky that it survived until you came to save it." Jiang Li said seriously.

Lin Gui looked at the sleepy puppy and smiled happily. She had saved another little life today.

Because the puppy's abrasions were too large, although it was not a serious illness, Lin Gui still used his connections to keep it in the hospital. He would take it back to the base after the scars healed in two days. From then on, there were 39 puppies at the base.

However, the smallest puppy in the base is only five months old and has been adopted. Now that such a small dog goes in, I wonder if there will be other dogs bullying it.

When the time comes, I will have to arrange for someone to take care of it personally, and I will also have to ask Mingxin to take care of it as well.

Speaking of Mingxin, it is now the top dog in the base and the apple of Lin Guixin's eye. Having a smart dog can make things more convenient. It can go to the toilet by itself, and it can teach the good and bad dogs around it. It can also educate the puppies in the base. Although its relationship with Shengxia is a little awkward, it still disciplines Shengxia who doesn't listen to the administrator's discipline.

Dahuang is one of the hostile dogs. He and Xiaohei used to be at odds with Mingxin. The last time Lin Gui took him to the base, he was despised by Mingxin when he went out to the lawn to relieve himself. So he learned to go to the toilet angrily, but it was only limited to the toilet at the base. The one at home still had the mat that Lin Gui arranged for him.

And there's the puppy Shengxia. I don't know if Mingxin said something to it, but it's no longer making trouble at the base. It was very noisy when it first came a few days ago. It went on a hunger strike and didn't sleep in the middle of the night. It made its counselor lose weight. Finally, Mingxin couldn't tolerate it anymore and disciplined it.

Mingxin figured out all the places in the base, found a place where the counselor couldn't see him, called some of his good friends, circled Shengxia, threatened her, and beat her a little, but no one could see it, so Shengxia behaved herself.

Less than two days later, early the next morning, Jiang Li called Lin Gui and said that the puppy had recovered well and could be taken away.

On the way to pick up the puppy, Lin Gui kept thinking about a question: it’s time to give it a name, what should she name?
