Chapter 275 The Endless Summer of Missing You

Chapter 275 The Endless Summer of Missing You

Jiang Ranxing didn't take much. He only took two sets of clothes, some necessary documents and work materials, a computer and a graphics tablet. All of these were packed into a small suitcase, with room to spare.

When the bedroom door opened, the butler was standing in the doorway with his hands clasped together, waiting. Looking at the suitcase, the butler asked, "Madam, are you really leaving home? What will happen to the master and young master?"

Jiang Ranxing said nonchalantly, "They probably don't need me. It's enough that you're taking care of them."

“Oh, Madam,” the butler said, trembling with fear. “How could the master and young master not need you? You are the person they care about most.”

Upon hearing this, Jiang Ranxing initially remained expressionless, but later smiled and said, "You're enough to take care of this family. You can manage without me."

Butler: "But Madam..."

"Okay, please take my suitcase down."

After pushing his suitcase out, Jiang Ranxing turned around and closed the room door, then went downstairs.

The housekeeper had no choice but to comply.

As soon as Jiang Ranxing came downstairs, she saw two people standing at the top of the stairs. The atmosphere was quite tense. It wasn't until she came down that the two people turned their attention to her.

"Xiaoxing, have you packed everything? I'll take you home now," Jiang Yan asked first, which made Fu Shenyuan's expression darken considerably.

Jiang Ranxing nodded: "Alright, we can go now."

"Wait, you can't leave." Fu Shenyuan reached out and grabbed her arm; her slender arm was too delicate to be easily grasped.

Jiang Ranxing turned around and saw Fu Shenyuan's incredibly lingering gaze, filled with deep reluctance.

Fu Shenyuan said, "Please don't leave, don't abandon me and our son."

Jiang Ranxing looked at her with some confusion, gesturing for him to let go, but Fu Shenyuan did not comply. Instead, he tightened his grip.

Jiang Ranxing couldn't break free, and just as he was about to say something, Jiang Yan made his move, prying Fu Shenyuan's hand open and throwing it back.

"Have you forgotten what I said? I told you to stay away from Xiaoxing!" Jiang Yan almost scolded him.

Fu Shenyuan could be said to be angry with Jiang Yan but dared not speak out, after all, he was Jiang Ranxing's older brother and could not be offended.

Fu Shenyuan sighed and said, "As I've said before, I hope we can respect Ranxing's own wishes, instead of forcing her to leave here."

Jiang Yan smiled dismissively: "Where do you get your confidence from, that you think Xiaoxing will be willing to stay?"

"I wouldn't say I'm confident, I just have a sense of certainty."

Fu Shenyuan looked at Jiang Ranxing and said patiently, "Don't go, okay? Think about what happened between you and Xiaohui. I'm worried about you not being by my side. Besides, you know about Grandpa's situation. Stay here, Ranxing."

Jiang Ranxing understood what Fu Shenyuan meant. He was worried about her safety, but she was no longer alone. With her brother by her side, she was no longer so afraid.

She now has someone behind her; she no longer feels helpless.

Jiang Ranxing looked at Fu Shenyuan and said, "I'm just going home with my brother, it's not like I'm not coming back, don't do this."

These words seemed to offer some reassurance, finally easing Fu Shenyuan's sense of urgency: "Really? You'll still come home to see me and our son, right?"

Jiang Ranxing didn't agree immediately. Instead, she glanced at Jiang Yan, who didn't put any pressure on her and seemed to be leaving everything to her.

“Yes, I’ll come back if I need to,” Jiang Ranxing nodded. “Now you can let me go, right?”

Fu Shenyuan reluctantly let go of her hand. After all, he couldn't possibly prevent her from returning home to her long-lost brother, but...

"I'll drive you home, and then I can pick you up later," Fu Shenyuan added.

Jiang Yan thought that since he had driven here, it was not Fu Shenyuan's place to drive him. But then he thought that if he didn't let Fu Shenyuan go, he might feel even more resentful.

Finally, Tao Shuo drove Jiang Yan, and Fu Shenyuan took Jiang Ranxing with him.

On the way, Jiang Ranxing asked out of boredom, "What did you and my brother talk about? Why was my brother so angry?"

Fu Shenyuan feigned innocence: "I didn't say anything. My brother just doesn't want me by your side, that's all."

"Oh, is that all?" Jiang Ranxing seemed unconcerned. "You know my brother really dislikes you, right? Don't mess with him."

Fu Shenyuan looked even more innocent: "Of course I can't go against my brother. Don't worry, we're family."

"A family?"

These three words sounded like a joke to Jiang Ranxing: "When can we be considered family? Fu Shenyuan, don't you feel a little ironic when you say that?"

"No, I think it's normal. When the two of us and our son are together, we are a family."

Jiang Ranxing was somewhat helpless and had no mood to refute Fu Shenyuan's words: "Think whatever you want, I can't control your thoughts."

"And what about you? What are my son and I to you now?"

When he asked the question, Fu Shenyuan's heart seemed to be trembling. Of course, he was worried that Jiang Ranxing's answer would hurt him, but at the same time, he was also looking forward to it, hoping that there might be a different answer.

Jiang Ranxing was unaware of his inner struggle or anticipation. After her eyes darted around a few times, they finally settled on Fu Shenyuan.

"Ex-husband, son without custody."

It was simple, straightforward, and without any beating around the bush, extinguishing any hope Fu Shenyuan might have had.

The two of them didn't say another word the rest of the way.

Fu Shenyuan's expression changed slightly as they approached the Jiang family's residence.

"here it is……"

Fu Shenyuan followed Jiang Yan's car the whole time. He didn't ask about the exact location of the Jiang family's house until they drove through a gate with extremely strict security. Looking at the attire of the guards at the gate, Fu Shenyuan finally realized something.

No wonder Jiang Yan is so mysterious; it turns out his identity is sensitive and special.

Such people would not simply choose any place to live, but would be under heavy protection.

Now he understood why Jiang Yan didn't care about the protection he mentioned.

Compared to the protection Jiang Yan could provide, his protection was utterly insignificant.

Jiang Ranxing hadn't expected to be in this kind of place. As soon as he got out of the car, a whole group of people in professional uniforms came over to stand by and greet him.

"Have everyone leave. Don't make the young lady uncomfortable. Pass the word down," Jiang Yan said to his assistant, Tao Shuo.

Tao Shuo replied, "Received, I'll arrange it immediately."

Jiang Yan turned to Jiang Ranxing and said, "Let's go, I'll take you home to see the world."

Everything around exuded a sense of solemnity and mystery. Whether it was the people guarding the gate or the servants inside the villa, there was a clear sense of hierarchy, making anyone who entered the environment unconsciously tense and afraid to relax. All of this was just like the feeling that Jiang Yan himself gave off.

"Okay, sure." Jiang Ranxing nodded with a smile.

As they walked towards the detached villa, Jiang Yan had someone lead Jiang Ranxing inside first, and then blocked Fu Shenyuan's path.

"Mr. Fu, it's good that you've come this far. Our Jiang family doesn't really welcome outsiders."

Fu Shenyuan was thus blocked at the door by Jiang Yan, and could only watch as Jiang Ranxing's figure disappeared before his eyes.

Upon approaching the villa, Jiang Ranxing realized that both the decoration and the furnishings actually had a very warm and homey feel.

Jiang Yan followed behind her and said, "When my parents were still alive, my family didn't live here. This is where I lived later."

"What about our parents' house?" Jiang Ranxing couldn't help but ask.

“That house has been locked for a long time. Ever since my parents passed away and you disappeared, I ordered it to be locked.”

Jiang Yan looked somewhat forlorn and said, "I'll take you back when I have time. Those places are all old things now. All the Jiang family's belongings are in this house now."

Jiang Ranxing smiled and said, "Brother, don't think about those unhappy things. I'm back now, and our Jiang family is together again. Isn't that a good thing?"

"Okay, I'll take you to your room. I had it prepared early this morning."

As Jiang Yan spoke, he led Jiang Ranxing to the bedroom upstairs.

As soon as the door to the room was opened, a delicate fragrance of flowers wafted out. The room was clearly well-maintained and carefully tended to.

"This is the room I prepared for you. Ever since we got this new home, I've reserved it for you. You liked these hydrangeas when you were little, so every day I'd have someone put fresh flowers in the vase, thinking that when you come back you'd see them right away, and it would make you very happy..."

Jiang Yan fell silent as he spoke, and Jiang Ranxing couldn't bear it.

“I see it now, and I like it very much,” Jiang Ranxing walked to the edge of the balcony, picked up a blue-purple hydrangea branch from the vase on the table, held it in her hand, and gently sniffed it. The fragrance filled her nostrils.

Jiang Yan walked over to her and said, "You've loved the Endless Summer flower since you were little. Maybe that's when you were telling me that you would come back one day."

"The meaning of the flower of Endless Summer is that even if we are separated for a short time, we will eventually reunite."

"After this flower withers, another one will grow back. In the endless summer, you will return to my side."

Jiang Ranxing stood on the balcony, holding the Endless Summer flower, looking at the bright sunshine outside the window, and revealed a gentle smile.

That smile, like the warm sun, fell into the eyes of Fu Shenyuan, who was looking up at her from the doorway.
