Chapter 1871 Take more medicine, talk less

Chapter 1871 Take more medicine, talk less

Gu Hanye said nothing and just looked at his watch.

Su Jiuyao could see the irritation and disrespect towards Xiao Chongyang from his actions.

Xiao Chongyang is a dark person with a dark heart, does despicable things, and has done many cruel things. He is certainly not worthy of respect, but the two of them did not fall out after all. In the past, Gu Hanye would still get along with Xiao Chongyang normally.

But today is different.

Gu Hanye's change in attitude towards Xiao Chongyang was all because he learned that his mother and Xiao Chongyang had a romantic relationship.

He never said it, but Su Jiuyao knew that he had something stuck in his throat.

But what Xiao Chongyang was going to say next was related to Han Ye’s mother.

Xiao Chongyang said, "Maybe it's because I'm getting old. I often forget things in the present, but things in the past become very clear. I don't know why, but I keep dreaming about your mother recently..."

He paused, "I remember telling you that your mother and I used to be friends."

Gu Hanye did not respond and looked at Xiao Chongyang with cold eyes.

Xiao Chongyang seemed to deliberately ignore this indifference and continued to speak to himself: "It's a coincidence that I saw you today. I wanted to talk to you about your mother's life..."

Gu Hanye interrupted him: "When my mother died, I was still young and I don't remember a lot."

Xiao Chongyang smiled bitterly: "Then you must remember that she and your father separated, right?"

"No separation."

Gu Hanye answered firmly, as if he was telling the truth.

"Didn't you move out of the old house?"

"My mom didn't like living in the city, so she moved to the suburbs. My dad comes home almost every day."

Xiao Chongyang smiled: "I heard that your father has never visited her once, and she has always wanted to divorce your father."

"You heard it wrong," Gu Hanye paused and smiled faintly, as if recalling some past events that made him very happy.

He told Xiao Chongyang, "I don't remember a lot of things, but I remember that I would fall asleep in my parents' bed every night and wake up in my own little room the next day. I would go to my parents' bedroom, climb onto the bed, and lie down between them. Then I would brush my teeth with my parents and have breakfast together. After breakfast, my father would go to the company and take me to kindergarten on the way."

While Gu Hanye was saying this, Xiao Chongyang's hands were gripping the armrests of the wooden chair tightly, his lips trembling slightly, and Su Jiuyao even saw that his eyes were red.

Gu Hanye took a sip of tea and said in a casual tone, "Is this what you want to hear? Anyway, this is all I remember."

Xiao Chongyang's face turned pale, and he suddenly took a deep breath, like a person who was almost drowning at the bottom of the water and suddenly floated to the surface.

Then he grabbed the handkerchief on the table, covered his mouth and started coughing violently.

He coughed so hard that it seemed as if he was going to cough out his lungs.

A male servant came up to him and brought him some cough medicine, but he raised his hand and knocked over the servant's tray.

The servant turned pale with fear, picked up the tray and retreated back into the villa.

When his breathing finally stabilized, he sighed, folded the handkerchief and placed it on his knees, and said to Gu Hanye and Su Jiuyao, "I'm sorry, my old illness has come back recently. I cough every time I say a few words."

"Then you should take more medicine and talk less." Gu Hanye said as he added more tea for Xiao Chongyang.

Xiao Chongyang picked up the teacup, took a sip, and said with a smile: "Your personality is very similar to your mother's."

Gu Hanye also smiled: "I think I am more like my father."

Xiao Chongyang smiled but said nothing.

Gu Hanye finished the tea in his cup, took Su Jiuyao's hand, and stood up: "Thank you for your hospitality, Mr. Xiao. Jiuyao and I have something to do later, so we won't disturb you anymore."
