Chapter 2307: An outlet for loneliness

Chapter 2307: An outlet for loneliness

Ah Fei turned his head to look at her, not sure whether she really realized the problem or was just apologizing for the sake of apology, and said lightly: "What did you do wrong? Tell me, I want to listen."

Ling Ying looked out the window, was silent for a while, and said: "I know you feel uncomfortable... Anyway, I will pay attention in the future."

Ah Fei said "hmm" and continued driving quietly.

There is nothing wrong with reminiscing about the past and being deeply sentimental about it. To some extent, it is even very touching.

But for him, the current boyfriend, it was not a touching thing, but a jealous and crazy thing.

Of course, Ah Fei didn't want to force her to forget the past, he just hoped that when she was with him, she would pay more attention to him.

In the final analysis, maybe their relationship is not deep enough, at least he has not yet entered her heart...

In fact, he couldn't say that he fell in love with Ling Ying at first sight. He saw many of her shortcomings and was also cultivating feelings for her.

And since I promised her a three-month "trial relationship", I will take this relationship seriously.

Likewise, he also hoped that Ling Ying could be equally serious, instead of just laughing and joking around, or being with him with the intention of retreating at any time.

We returned to Ah Fei's apartment in silence.

The moving company arrived soon after. The workers moved the things into the house and then left. Ling Ying began to pack her luggage.

There are no large pieces of furniture, only daily necessities, including clothes, books, musical instruments, etc.

Ah Fei helped her to tidy up. Looking at his own house which was gradually filled with this girl's things, his own house seemed to have more people around. The unhappiness in his heart just now also eased a lot.

However, Ling Ying never opened the cardboard box containing Qiao Qingze's belongings.

She didn't tear it apart, and A Fei didn't ask. Qiao Qingze had become a taboo topic between them.

And so, Ling Ying settled down.

The first week was quite uneventful.

The two never quarreled again. Ah Fei went to work during the day, and Ling Ying also found what she wanted to do.

She studied English translation, and after completing her master's, she's been a homebody, only occasionally taking on translation assignments from her supervisor. She's been reclusive for the past two years, disliking much human interaction and preferring to parse texts at home.

She doesn't earn much, but fortunately her expenses are not too high. Plus, she holds a small amount of company shares, so she will receive dividends at the end of the year, which is enough for her to live on.

In short, I maintain a state of being neither too full nor too hungry, and live my life in a daze.

After being with Ah Fei, she moved to a new residence. She also wanted to start over, so she contacted the band she had participated in before.

The orchestra happened to need a cellist, so she joined the orchestra again. She went to the rehearsal room every morning and played music with everyone, which made her feel much better.

In the afternoon, she went to the cooking class, which she had just signed up for.

She had always wanted to learn how to cook and had imagined cooking for Qingze. But after Qingze left, she was too lazy to study cooking anymore.

But now it's different, she has someone who wants to cook for her again.

Therefore, Ah Fei became the guinea pig to test her learning success. Putting the taste aside for now, it would be different every day anyway.

The progress between the two seemed to be going smoothly, but Ling Ying always felt that something was missing between them.

What was missing? She couldn't explain it.

Anyway, after dinner every day, Ah Fei would read for a while, or do some work, then take a shower, and then the two of them would go to bed early.

Once in bed, the two people are in a completely different state.

They always can't wait to get started, followed by passionate hugs and kisses.

There was no heart-to-heart chat, nor was there any sharing of what happened to each other during the day, just sex.

It was as if the entire day was a preparation for this moment in bed.

Afterwards, Ling Ying half-jokingly said, "I suspect you asked me to move in just to make it more convenient for you to sleep with me."

Ah Fei was silent for a while: "I feel the same way."

It’s not that he doesn’t want to chat with Ling Ying, but ever since she talked a lot about Qiao Qingze last time, the two of them had a very unpleasant argument and their communication became less.

I don't want to hear her talk about Qiao Qingze, but I also don't want her to say nothing.

As a result, after that day, Ling Ying no longer opened her heart to him, but only opened her body to him in bed.

I feel like being with him is just filling my loneliness.

They are not like lovers, but more like the so-called friends.

Every time he thought of this, Ah Fei felt like his heart was blocked by a ball of cotton.

Ah Fei wanted to change their relationship mode and calm down, but as soon as his eyes met hers, he couldn't help but hug her in his arms, willing to become her outlet for venting her loneliness...

So the two continued to get along like this, but beneath the calm surface, Ah Fei felt that their relationship had become increasingly tense.

There were fewer and fewer sweet words in bed, and less and less eye contact, leaving only physical needs.

The root of all this is Ling Ying's past.

On the seventh day after moving in, when Ah Fei was changing clothes in the cloakroom after taking a shower, he saw the cardboard box again.

Inside are things related to Qiao Qingze. They have been placed against the wall for a week and have not been opened yet.

Ah Fei finally couldn't help but ask Ling Ying why she didn't take the things out.

Ling Ying smiled and said there was no rush, as they were all useless things anyway.

Hearing her nonchalant words, Ah Fei's mouth corners slightly raised.

That night, he did not go to bed after taking a shower and get straight to the point as he did in the past. Instead, he chose a relaxing movie. The two of them lay on the sofa hugging each other and watched a movie together before going to bed.

This kind of warm experience can actually bring people closer together than intense sex.

After that day, the relationship between the two gradually eased, and the awkward feeling finally disappeared.

It is no longer a rhythm of going to bed as soon as you enter the room and sleeping after doing it.

The two of them had more and more topics to talk about. Ah Fei got to know Ling Ying's hobbies, and Ling Ying also got to know Ah Fei's appetite.

Sometimes, when Ling Ying was in a good mood, she would play a song for him. He would also take Ling Ying to the gym he often went to, teach her boxing, or let her train with him.

Just when the psychological distance between the two was getting closer, something happened that brought their relationship to a freezing point.

That morning, Ah Fei finished work early and took half a day off in the afternoon. He went to the rehearsal room and picked up Ling Ying to have lunch.

Ah Fei didn't tell her in advance for fear of disturbing her rehearsal.

When I arrived outside the rehearsal room, I happened to meet Ling Ying who had just come out of the rehearsal room. She might have come out to rest with her friends. She was standing in front of the corridor window and chatting.

Ling Ying didn't see Ah Fei and continued chatting with her friends, apparently talking about the fact that she had a brother.

A friend asked, "What would you do if one day you found out that your senior wasn't dead at all?"
