These two in front of her were not the right ones, so Ye Zhaozhao stepped forward to stop them.
"Who are you two? Why are you barging in and eating meat like that?"
The two children stood there speechless. Ye Zhaozhao thought that if they didn't speak, she would kick them out.
Just as they were about to take action, a woman walked in from outside.
The woman stood in stark contrast to the two children, wearing a floral blouse.
She was wearing little leather shoes, which didn't match what Aunt Hua had said.
She didn't look like someone who was having a hard time making a living. When the woman saw Ye Zhaozhao, she greeted her with a smile.
"I'm your neighbor. How could these two children eat other people's food?"
The woman didn't say anything, but simply pulled her two children in front of her.
Then she didn't say anything more. Ye Zhaozhao understood. It seemed that these two children had been stealing things every time.
No one said anything, and besides, the women never lectured them.
That's why these two kids were so bold, and Ye Zhaozhao had her suspicions.
The woman had deliberately let the child in to eat meat; she was right outside the door.
The woman thought Ye Zhaozhao was new and therefore thought she was easy to bully.
Ye Zhaozhao wasn't going to let it go so easily. She looked at the woman and spoke.
"Since you know you shouldn't eat other people's food, then you should compensate them?"
"What did you say?"
No woman has ever seen someone like Ye Zhaozhao before; every time, everyone just lets it go.
The woman's face was already pale, and Ye Zhaozhao wasn't much better off.
She's still angry.
"Compensation? These are all leftovers, what am I supposed to compensate you for?"
"Who told you this was leftovers? I was saving it for the next meal. Now that your son has eaten it, what are we going to eat next?"
Seeing that Ye Zhaozhao wouldn't let it go, the woman had no choice but to pull the children aside and start beating them. The children cried loudly after the beating, the woman thought.
Now that the child has been beaten, Ye Zhaozhao should be calmed down.
But what Ye Zhaozhao said next surprised her.
