Chapter 224 Ye Zhaozhao defuses the bomb

In an instant, everyone tensed up; they had developed the bomb themselves.

They knew how powerful it was; if it really exploded, it could destroy the research lab.

At the critical moment, Ye Zhaozhao stepped forward.

"Let me try?"

"Comrade Ye, you haven't studied bomb disposal. If the bomb explodes, can you take responsibility?"

The person who said this was blaming Ye Zhaozhao and her team for making the bomb, even if the research hadn't been successful.

"Then this whole thing is over, isn't it?" Ye Zhaozhao smiled slightly.

"I can't do it, can you do it?"

Upon hearing that he had to defuse the bomb himself, he immediately shook his head. The dean knew that Ye Zhaozhao was confident; she never did anything without being sure of its success.

He led the people out, leaving only the old professor, Ye Zhaozhao, and the person holding the bomb in the research room.

The man who caught the bomb was sweating profusely and his hands were trembling, all because he was terrified. Ye Zhaozhao comforted him.

She would make sure they were all alright, and then Ye Zhaozhao focused on defusing the bomb.

The old professor assisted her from the side. Time passed by, and when they saw that there were only three minutes left on the bomb, everyone was tense again.

Is it too late?

This was the first time the old professor had been so nervous. Ye Zhaozhao nodded and continued studying the bomb without saying a word.

With only one minute left, the man grabbing the bomb couldn't wait any longer.

"You'd better hurry, or it will be too late."

He caused the trouble; he should be left alone, and they shouldn't be dragged into it.

Ye Zhaozhao found him annoying; she disliked being disturbed when she was working.

"Shut up."

With only ten seconds left, Ye Zhaozhao cut the last thread.

With a loud bang, the crisis was averted, and the man's legs went weak, collapsing to the ground.

The old professor was also quite frightened and was eventually helped out by Ye Zhaozhao. Once they came out, everyone knew that the bomb had been successfully defused.

The dean called Ye Zhaozhao aside.

"Comrade Ye, have you ever studied bomb disposal before?"

No, this is the first time.

Ye Zhaozhao told the truth that this was the first time she had ever seen a bomb, and she had never had the chance before.

The dean found this unbelievable and once again felt that sending Ye Zhaozhao to the research institute was the right decision.

Once everyone calmed down, they continued working, the old professor recounting what Ye Zhaozhao had done while defusing the bomb.

We'll write down all her movements so we can gather everyone here to learn from her.

Another day of slacking off at work, Ye Zhaozhao left work on time and went home to her family compound.

When she returned, she saw a large crowd gathered in front of her house. When she went inside, she saw a scene that infuriated her.

All that could be seen in the yard was duck droppings, and most importantly, her vegetable garden was destroyed.

The vegetable garden was a mess, and Ye Zhaozhao remembered that she had closed the gate when she left.

In the crowd, a woman saw Ye Zhaozhao return, came out carrying a duck, and apologized to Ye Zhaozhao.

"I'm so sorry, my duck is too naughty. I didn't keep an eye on it and it came into your house. I'm really sorry."

What angered Ye Zhaozhao was that the woman was apologizing.

But she didn't seem to have done anything wrong. Ye Zhaozhao just wanted to find out the reason.

How did your ducks get into my yard?

Ye Zhaozhao's memory couldn't be wrong; a duck wouldn't open a closed door.

Hearing Ye Zhaozhao ask this question, a guilty look flashed across the woman's face.

"Now that things have come to this, just tell me how you want to be compensated."

"How will you compensate me? Can you afford to?"

These vegetables were grown with great effort by her, and the people around Ye Zhaozhao also stood by.

They were all angry to see these dishes ruined like this, let alone Ye Zhaozhao.

“This vegetable garden is not easy to grow, especially now that the vegetables are growing so well. I wouldn’t trade it for any amount of money.”

"Was this woman doing it on purpose? Otherwise, how could the duck have gotten in?"

"It's obvious she just wants to settle things with money."

The surrounding whispers continued, and the woman's face darkened.

They thought, "It's just a few vegetables, right? As if anyone can't afford to pay for it."

Ye Zhaozhao was determined to teach the woman a lesson this time.

"Three thousand yuan, not a penny less."

"What? Three thousand yuan?"

The woman's mouth dropped open. Not thirty? Not three hundred? But three thousand? Where was she going to get so much money? Ye Zhaozhao then told her.

"I need to see the money in two days. If I don't have the money, I'll sue you."

Ye Zhaozhao had already anticipated that the woman wouldn't be able to come up with that much money, which was why she deliberately made things difficult for her.

Sun Xiuhua and Zhu Cuishan arrived late and saw someone bullying Ye Zhaozhao.

The two of them couldn't stand it anymore, and Sun Xiuhua was the first to rush forward.

Zhu Cui stood by and cheered, watching as she was beaten, but no one came to her aid.

Someone even kicked her a couple of times. The woman didn't expect them to be so strong. After being beaten, she could only run away. Ye Zhaozhao told everyone to go back first.

Sun Xiuhua and Zhu Cui wanted to help tidy up the vegetable garden, but Ye Zhaozhao said she wanted to preserve the evidence.

When Gu Yunduan returned and saw the mess on the ground, she heard about what had happened that day.

He was just as angry as Ye Zhaozhao; he had seen all the hardships she had endured.

Now that his wife's hard work is being disregarded, how can he not be angry?

"Wife, leave this to me."

What are you going to do?

Gu Yunduan planned to call the police, and Ye Zhaozhao agreed, depending on the woman's attitude today.

She won't repent unless the police are called; she's absolutely certain of that now.

It was this woman who opened the door and let the ducks in. As for her intention, it was nothing more than seeing that her vegetable garden was growing well and wanting the ducks to eat for free.
