Chapter 348 Fever Causes Convulsions

Chen Ge was quite frightened and had no choice but to agree. Seeing that he was so sensible, the man had someone release him.

I'll come to your house tonight.

Chen Ge could only go home. When he got home, Hu Tingxi was still sitting in the yard washing clothes.

When he returned, we called him into the house.

"Chen Ge, why did you lie to me if you don't have a job?"

"Tingxi, I went out to look for work today, and the textile factory has agreed to arrange a job for me."

Chen Ge thought that he should first keep Hu Tingxi calm, in case she ran away.

"Who will deal with the man for him?" Hu Tingxi, who was already furious, heard his words.

She wasn't angry anymore; after all, she was already married to him.

Seeing that Hu Tingxi was no longer pursuing the matter of work, Chen Ge breathed a sigh of relief and comforted her.

"Okay, go help Mom with the laundry, I'm going to take a nap."

"Chen Ge, Mom made me do a lot of work early this morning, and my hands are all red from rubbing them."

Hu Tingxi wanted to complain to Chen Ge and ask him to talk to her mother-in-law.

To everyone's surprise, Chen Ge frowned and spoke directly.

“Tingxi, my mother raised us all with great difficulty. She has already worked so hard. Isn’t it only right that you help her with some chores?”

Hu Tingxi wanted to say something more. It wasn't that she didn't want to work, but she could see through everything.

Chen Ge was getting a little impatient with his mother-in-law and several of his sisters-in-law all being idle.

“It’s your duty as a daughter-in-law to be filial to my mother. Now go and get to work.”

Chen Ge went to sleep without saying a word, so Hu Tingxi had no choice but to continue washing clothes. After she finished washing the clothes, her mother-in-law asked her to chop firewood.

This was all work for a grown man, and before long, Hu Tingxi's hands were covered in blisters.

But no one cared about her, and she finally waited until it got dark.

She returned to the room, where Chen Ge was still asleep. As Hu Tingxi approached, Chen Ge suddenly sat up, remembering his promise to the man, and immediately went out.

The man was already waiting at the door, and Chen Ge told him that everything was ready.

He deliberately didn't turn on the lights just now. Hu Tingxi had just lay down on the bed; she was exhausted from working all day.

After a while, the door opened and Chen Ge returned. Just as Hu Tingxi was about to fall asleep, she noticed the man's movements and spoke.

"Chen Ge, I'm tired today."

But the man didn't let her refuse, and Hu Tingxi quickly came to her senses.

Chen Ge, who was hiding by the door, heard the sounds coming from inside the house and felt relieved. Now the man wouldn't make things difficult for her.

The next day, Hu Tingxi woke up to see the man sleeping beside her, and she hugged him sweetly.

While eating breakfast, Hu Tingxi kept looking at Chen Ge.

Thinking about his performance last night, a woman's shyness appeared on her face. The man she had her eye on wasn't without his merits.

Everyone heard what happened yesterday.

Chen Ge's mother glared fiercely at Hu Tingxi, determined to make her do more work today.

To avoid disturbing their sleep, Chen Ge left after finishing his meal.

She ran into a man as soon as she stepped outside. The man thought that although Hu Tingxi was a bit ugly, she was still a little ugly.

But he was very satisfied and told Chen Ge that he would come again that evening.

Chen Ge didn't refuse, as long as he didn't make things difficult for himself.

Hu Tingxi worked during the day and had to deal with men at night, and her body quickly couldn't take it anymore.

However, she couldn't refuse, fearing it would affect their relationship.

After Ye Zhaozhao's treatment, Liu Mingyi was able to be discharged from the hospital.

After being discharged from the hospital, he stayed at Liu Zhangyi's house to recuperate, and Liu Zhangyi found someone to take care of him.

Ye Zhaozhao didn't have to go to work today, so she stayed home and made sesame candy for the children.

The five children had been clamoring for sesame candy, and Ye Zhaozhao had just finished making it.

Then we saw Aunt Xie leading her grandson in; the child had obviously come because he smelled the aroma.

As soon as I came in, I stared longingly at the sesame candy on the plate.

Aunt Xie felt a little embarrassed; the boy was too greedy. So Ye Zhaozhao gave him a few pieces to eat.

The boy took the sesame candy from Ye Zhaozhao's hand.

"Thank you, Auntie."

"You're welcome."

Ye Zhaozhao knew that Xie Da Niang usually took care of this child.

This child is five years old and still hasn't been sent to school. Ye Zhaozhao has been living here for so long.

She had never met Aunt Xie's daughter-in-law, but she didn't ask.

The boy ate the fragrant sesame candy, tilting his head to one side.

So adorable! Looking at the child, Aunt Xie's eyes suddenly welled up with tears, and she couldn't help but complain to Ye Zhaozhao.

“Zhao Zhao, my son and daughter-in-law are not reliable. They just left the child and went away. I don’t know where they went.”

Ye Zhaozhao knew about Aunt Xie's son; there had been rumors about him and the woman next door. Seeing Aunt Xie was upset, she quickly offered a few words of comfort.

Aunt Xie realized she had talked too much, so she took her grandson home.

Seeing that they were about to leave, Ye Zhaozhao packed some sesame candy for them.

Aunt Xie couldn't refuse, so she took it, thinking that she would ask Uncle Xie to take good care of her later.

Ye Zhaozhao went shopping with her grandmother in the afternoon, but when they came back, they saw a little child lying on the ground.

The grandson of Aunt Xie, who was standing nearby, turned pale with fright, while a woman next to him saw her son convulsing uncontrollably.

A slap landed on the face of Xie Da Niang's grandson, Xie Pang.

"You little bastard, what did you do to my son?"

Hearing the commotion, Aunt Xie came out and shielded her grandson behind her, then saw the handprint on his face.

Aunt Xie looked at the woman and asked.

Why did you hit my grandson?

"If it weren't for your grandson, would my son have turned out like this?"

Someone couldn't stand it anymore and spoke up.
