The Shen family home was unusually lively today. Tao Lihua knew they were coming back and had tidied up the room early.
The children had been restless all the way and couldn't stay awake any longer, so they went to sleep.
Ye Zhaozhao gave them a quick wash, and Tao Lihua was absolutely delighted with the five children.
Ye Zhaozhao and Gu Yunduan had just taken out the things they brought.
Then a woman stepped forward, opened the bag, and grabbed a handful of White Rabbit milk candies.
Tao Lihua's face darkened immediately when she saw her son with a runny nose.
"Zhao Di, have you no manners at all?"
Seeing her mother-in-law's displeasure, Liu Zhaodi stepped aside, but her gaze lingered on Ye Zhaozhao.
Although it was their first meeting, Ye Zhaozhao didn't like this woman.
"Zhao Zhao, don't mind her, Zhao Di is just being immature."
"It's alright, Auntie, please distribute the candy to the children."
There were six children standing in the room, all staring longingly at the candy in Ye Zhaozhao's hand.
Tao Lihua went to distribute the candy, and the old lady pulled her and Gu Yunduan along to introduce it to everyone.
After the introductions, Ye Zhaozhao only remembered her uncle and aunt.
She didn't remember much of the rest, but the old lady figured she was going to stay at home for a while anyway.
I'll remember this later. Tao Lihua and Shen Jianjun went to the kitchen.
The remaining people stayed with Ye Zhaozhao and Gu Yunduan, talking to each other. Ye Zhaozhao couldn't see her second uncle.
"Grandma, where's my second uncle?"
"The couple lives in the city. After the New Year, I'll have Xiao Gu take you there."
Ye Zhaozhao nodded. Just as everyone was having a good time, Aunt Wang, who loved to join in the fun, came running over.
“Jianli, go check on your Shen Yun. She’s insisting on preventing Han Zhiqing from returning to the city.”
