Wen Renjie remembered Zhou Dawu saying how delicious the fish was, so he couldn't wait to take a bite, but the fishy smell made him vomit.
"Zhizhi, didn't you clean this fish?"
It turns out that Song Zhizhi didn't prepare the fish properly. After bringing it back, she washed it and steamed it directly without adding anything. No wonder it was fishy!
