"Otherwise what? Did I ruin your plans?"
Bai Lingyu glanced at him with a cold look in her eyes.
Kong Wang: "..."
Fine,
Those two disgusting men, who didn't even spare men, must have committed countless atrocities and deserved to die.
"If you want to live, come with me," Bai Lingyu said lightly, taking his arm.
Why did you come to save me?
Kong Wang paused, recalling the scenes that had unfolded with her in the pool. His cheeks burned, and he shook off her hand.
"Forget it. Even if I get beheaded, I don't need a monster like you to save me."
You're overthinking it. I just want to take you out and find a secluded, deserted place to kill you.
Then, publicly claim that you killed the two prison guards, escaped, and committed suicide out of fear of punishment.
Bai Lingyu couldn't help but laugh at the thought of what she was going to do later. She raised an eyebrow, a sly glint in her fox-like eyes, but remained expressionless.
"After all, our relationship was just a fleeting affair, how could I bear to watch someone die without helping them?"
To be honest, looking at his fair and delicate face, she really couldn't bring herself to do it.
After Bai Lingyu finished speaking, she continued to pull Kong Wang outside without saying another word.
Looking at their hands clasped tightly together, Kong Wang blushed and her heart raced again, feeling a surge of heat throughout her body.
This vixen.
Why is it that whenever he sees her, he can't help but recall those beautiful scenes?
He is a monk, this is wrong. The only thing to do is raise your hand and silently recite "Amitabha" in your heart again and again.
The two jailers guarding the gate saw them swaggering over here.
Draw your sword immediately.
"How dare you! Who are you? How dare you attempt to break me out of prison!"
"Guards! Someone's trying to break us out of prison!"
Upon hearing this, a commotion arose ahead, and a group of people surged out of the entrance.
Kong Wang instinctively shielded Bai Lingyu behind him: "Witch, go quickly. Don't worry about me."
Bai Lingyu was slightly startled, not expecting him to stand in front of her.
Then she chuckled softly.
"These few people are no match for me."
"Don't commit murder!"
Bai Lingyu ignored him, released his hand, and rushed forward, knocking out more than a dozen people in one go.
"For your sake, spare their lives and go."
Bai Lingyu clapped her hands easily and pulled him away from the prison.
No sooner had they gone out than the Sixth Prince arrived with a group of men.
Bai Lingyu quickly pulled him aside.
When the sixth prince entered, he saw people lying on the ground, unconscious.
The cell where Kong Wang was imprisoned was now empty, with only two gruesome corpses remaining.
Their hearts had been ripped out and crushed, and a foul stench permeated the air.
What's going on?
The sixth prince randomly woke up someone, grabbed him by the neck, and questioned him.
"Ahem, someone broke into the prison! A beautiful woman dressed in white, wearing a veil, and covered in blood!"
"She's wearing a veil, how do you know she's beautiful!"
"A feeling... is just a feeling."
The sixth prince released his grip, his narrow, dark eyes flashing with murderous intent, and slit his throat with a single stroke.
"We can't let the people here know that I've been here, otherwise, if word gets back to the Emperor, we won't be able to explain ourselves. You know what to do."
"Understand!"
The subordinates obeyed the order, and with a single glance, they all drew their swords.
The poor jailers lying on the ground died in their sleep.
When a group of people came out, holding blood-stained knives, Kong Wang and Bai Lingyu saw them clearly.
"Amitabha Buddha, it's all my fault, I'm the one who harmed them."
A dull ache shot through my chest.
He never imagined that the most terrifying thing in the world was not monsters, but the human heart.
Those who were killed, though of humble status, were also someone's father and son.
“You monks are so fussy. That’s just how the world is. You’re about to lose your own lives, and you still have time to worry about others.”
Bai Lingyu couldn't stand his attitude, so she rolled her eyes at him and lowered her voice.
"Kong Wang must have been rescued, Sixth Imperial Uncle, what should we do?"
"Chase them! They can't have gone far. No matter where they go, you must find Kong Wang for me!"
The men and horses have gone far away.
Kong Wang and Bai Lingyu then emerged from behind the cover.
"We shouldn't stay here any longer, let's go quickly."
"Why did they arrest me?" Kong Wang wondered, pondering.
"Why do you care so much? Just run away first. The Emperor wants to behead you. If you get caught, you're doomed. You can't trust anyone now, just trust me."
Bai Lingyu pulled him away in another direction.
They arrived at a remote and abandoned inn, tidied it up a bit, and let him stay there.
She originally wanted to kill him to end it all.
But when he thought of Kong Wangfang standing in front of him, he hesitated.
Seeing him sitting quietly in meditation, Bai Lingyu went to the kitchen to boil water, poured it into a wooden tub, and prepared to wash away the smell of blood from his body.
Lying in the wooden tub, surrounded by warm water, Bai Lingyu felt a wave of drowsiness, closed her eyes, and drifted into a sweet dream.
After an unknown amount of time, Kong Wang waited and waited, but she did not return.
He climbed down from the abandoned bed, which contained only a tattered straw mat and not even a blanket, and searched for her whereabouts.
He assumed that the fox demon had abandoned him and run away after bringing him to this place.
Unexpectedly, when the curtains were lifted, a woman was seen sleeping soundly inside the wooden tub, her hands resting on the sides, her head bowed.
It was raining outside, and the thin morning light shone on her snow-white back, her soft, slender neck, and her damp white hair, winding towards the depths of the water.
