Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.
It was rare to find someone willing to teach her how to swim.
She didn't want to fall into the water again, powerless to resist, and only able to wait for someone to rescue her.
“I want to learn,” Mi Shan said firmly, looking up into his eyes.
"Let's jump again from here. This time, I'll jump with you."
Li Changyu responded to her gaze and took a few steps forward.
"I told you to push it back."
With a cliff right beneath their feet and the tide surging relentlessly.
Several rocks fell and disappeared instantly.
Mi Shan's eyes flickered, then turned dark and brooding, and she silently placed her hands on his back.
"You said it yourself, I'm not responsible if you fall and die."
After she finished speaking, she suddenly pushed forward.
As Li Changyu's figure plummeted, I almost couldn't help but gasp in shock.
My heart was in my throat.
He hurriedly lay down beside the rock and looked down.
She only breathed a sigh of relief when she saw him fall into the water with a splash and wave his arm at her.
"Come down, I'll catch you."
Mi Shan wasn't sure if he was lying to her, but then she thought...
Her death would do him absolutely no good.
With eyes closed,
Then jump down.
Ah… I exclaimed inwardly.
The expected coldness did not come.
Instead, she fell into a warm embrace.
Li Changyu held the woman in his arms tightly, using his internal energy to calm the turbulent water.
Are you calmer now?
The surrounding water became warm and gentle because of the inextinguishable flame she wore.
Mi Shan's body felt warm. She pursed her lips, silently turned her head away, and
Ignore him.
You think you can get away with this? No way.
"You're so stingy."
"You, you're not exactly an upright gentleman either. We're evenly matched!"
Li Changyu scoffed lightly, offering no rebuttal, and swam forward by the back of her collar.
Leaving her head hanging in the air
"Let's take a swim and see."
Mi Shan tried to move her limbs.
But Li Changyu's expression grew increasingly strange; his usually cold face twitched, as if he were trying hard to suppress a laugh.
It turned out that her limbs were moving haphazardly, making her look like a turtle.
"What are you laughing at? Stop laughing!"
"No. Listen, don't move your hands or feet, keep your body in a straight line. Reduce water resistance."
"When paddling, first extend your arms forward, then retract them."
As Li Changyu became serious, his clear, cold voice slowly rang in my ears.
Mi Shan took a deep breath and tried to do as he was told.
It was impossible to do; his body wobbled and he choked on several mouthfuls of water.
"It's normal to drink water when you're just starting out."
A hint of mockery flashed in Li Changyu's eyes, and he couldn't help but blurt out two words.
"You're like a turtle."
"Who are you calling U... gurgle..."
As soon as Mi Shan spoke, he drank several more mouthfuls of water, struggled desperately, and jumped around frantically.
"No, I'm not practicing anymore! Grab me now!"
"If I can't learn it, I can't learn it. From now on, I'll avoid water whenever I see it."
Mi Shan, panting, leaned against him and wiped the water from her face.
The thought of him laughing at me makes me feel utterly disgusted.
With the back of her collar being held, she looked even more disheveled.
"There is no such thing as instant success. Many things in this world require hard work to reap rewards. Don't give up so easily."
"I... I'll think about it some more." Mi Shan seemed a little ashamed by what he said.
In reality, she was just saying it casually; she's never the kind of person who easily gives in or admits defeat.
However, for someone who can't swim at all, learning to swim begins in this vast lake.
And since I almost drowned not long ago, it's quite difficult.
"I've already learned it, let's start over."
After taking a deep breath, Mi Shan deliberately submerged herself in the water, grabbed his hand underwater, and steadied herself.
The man's body paused slightly.
He was also taken aback for a moment.
Only then did I realize that men and women should not touch each other. Once the feeling of shame arises, it cannot be ignored.
As if struck by lightning, she released her grip on his hands.
The next second, she almost drowned, but Li Changyu took the initiative to support her body.
His drooping eyelashes hung on his damp face, making his pale skin appear even more translucent.
The moonlight shone on Li Changyu's flawless face, making him look like a perfect sculpture.
His long, slender hands lifted her waist and abdomen.
Help her maintain a straight line in the water.
Forget about things you shouldn't be thinking about.
"I'll teach you how to breathe first. Every two to three strokes, turn your head to breathe. Give it a try."
Mi Shan endured the discomfort of his touch, feeling her cheeks burning hot.
After doing as he said, I didn't choke on water anymore.
A sense of accomplishment arose within me.
Then combine what he taught before...
"I... I think I've mastered a little technique. Why don't you let go and let me try..."
After saying that, Li Changyu stopped.
As expected, Mi Shan continued to choke on water.
I don't know how long it took.
She was finally able to swim freely in the water.
And learn to lie flat on the lake surface, relax and spread your limbs, and float freely with the water.
Gazing at the countless stars twinkling quietly in the dark night sky, a faint smile graced her face.
"How pleasant!"
She can stay in the water for a long time without feeling cold.
Li Changyu, however, could not bear the bitter cold any longer. He found an empty gourd, which was about half a person's height, on some stranded shore.
He sat upright with his knees bent, quite content.
