Chapter 75 Eternal Entanglement (shuhaige.net)

Mi Shan was startled and quickly lowered her head even further.

Li Changyu, however, remained unfazed, maintaining a calm and collected expression as he coldly presented his token.

"So it's His Highness the Crown Prince!"

"Please, please."

The guards were so frightened that they immediately let them pass.

After leaving the palace, Mi Shan took a deep breath.

"I can't believe they actually came out."

The night was deserted and the streets on both sides appeared particularly desolate under the dark night sky.

"Don't get too excited. I'm not bringing you out here for fun."

"I know. But where are these extraordinary people you're talking about?"

"Black Market, shut up and follow me."

After speaking coldly, Li Changyu refused to answer any more of her questions.

After riding in the carriage for almost a quarter of an hour, before they had even reached their destination, Mi Shan closed her eyes, her head swaying back and forth, and began to doze off.

"arrive."

By the time Li Changyu's voice rang out above her, she had already fallen asleep on his shoulder.

Surprisingly, Li Changyu wasn't angry. Instead, he looked at her and coldly tapped her forehead with a single finger.

Mi Shan was startled.

I increasingly felt that his emotions were so cold and indifferent that he didn't seem like a living person.

"Li Changyu, don't you hate me?"

"hate you?"

"I thought that once you found out I had poisoned you with a Gu worm, you would want to kill me to vent your anger."

Li Changyu sneered, merely gazing calmly ahead, "If killing you can undo the Gu worm's effects, I will not hesitate."

"In fact, it's not only useless, it will also cost me my life. Besides, I need you to do things for me now, why should I sacrifice myself?"

His mind was always filled with only his plans.

"What deep-seated hatred do you have for your father? You are clearly the crown prince, and the throne will be yours sooner or later."

Mi Shan couldn't help but ask.

Li Changyu stopped answering and ignored him. After getting off the carriage, he crossed a bridge, the clouds and mist dissipated, and the scenery in front of him suddenly opened up.

Is this the black market?

The entire street is suspended on the bridge, with flowing water below.

Lanterns were hung everywhere, creating a lively and bustling atmosphere.

Pavilions and terraces were built on the water, dancers performed, and people played music on small boats.

However, everyone was wearing a mask.

Mi Shan looked at the dazzling array of goods on both sides of the street and followed behind him in amazement.

Seeing Li Changyu stop in front of a stall, he gave the person a silver ingot.

Pick up the two masks.

Give one to her.

After putting on colorful wooden ghost masks, the two walked side by side.

We came to a dark and narrow alley.

Go inside and turn another corner, and you'll see a dilapidated pharmacy.

The roof tiles were broken and no one repaired them. The signboard at the entrance was rotten, with only a dirty old cloth hanging on it, on which a row of large characters were crookedly written with a black brush.

"The No. 1 Pharmacy in the World".

Push the door open and go inside.

As usual, it was covered in dust.

Li Changyu brushed the dust off his shoulders without changing his expression. Mi Shan followed behind him, waving and coughing twice.

The room was filled with medicine jars, and the walls and shelves were piled high with them. In the transparent glass bottles were red, yellow, and green medicines.

The air was filled with all kinds of rare plants.

In front of the kitchen counter, there was a crooked wooden chair, but no one was there.

"Boss Xu."

Li Changyu called out.

The door creaked open.

A figure dressed in a tattered Taoist robe, with long, disheveled hair, emerged. His hands hung at his sides, and his eyes were blindfolded with a black cloth.

Although his handsome face was mature, it didn't make him look old.

He was holding a turtle in his hand, gently stroking its head.

He didn't seem surprised to hear Li Changyu's voice.

Instead, they became interested in the person behind him.

"Oh? You didn't come alone today, young friend? Who was the other person?"

Unexpectedly, Mi Shan trembled and stared at him in astonishment.

"Uncle Liang!"

Xu Junran was startled, seemingly not expecting to hear that voice here.

"It's you?"

“It’s me, Mi Shan.”

She nodded and excitedly took a few steps forward. "So you lived here. I haven't seen you since my mother passed away. I thought you would never come back."

Unexpectedly, Uncle Liang is still in Kyoto.

Xu Junliang nodded slightly. Although his eyes, covered by the ribbon, were completely dark, the girl's face still appeared before him.

Bright eyes,

And her appearance,

Although he could no longer see, he knew from her voice that she was still as adorable as she was when she was a child.

"Yes, I never expected to see you again."

Seeing them chatting and reminiscing, Li Changyu glanced at them with a hint of surprise and asked, "What, you know each other?"

"I know him. I used to chat with him a lot when we were kids."

Mi Shan replied.

Back then, she would always see a figure in a white robe standing quietly under the pomegranate tree in the courtyard when she got up in the middle of the night.

Tell your mother that when she came out, the figure had disappeared again.

Later, she got smarter and stopped calling out to him. When he came, she would go up to him and question him about why he was always peeking at her.

Perhaps it was because he looked clean and tidy, not like a bad person.

The man simply hugged her and said, "Shh, don't tell your mother I've been here." He would then give her a handful of candy, and sometimes leave her some silver or charcoal.

Later, my mother passed away.

He never appeared again.

Mi Shan knew that his name was A Liang.

"Your eyes were fine back then, what happened?" Mi Shan asked.

"It's nothing, it's all in the past." Xu Junliang's handsome face, usually covered in scraggly hair, showed a hint of sadness as he patted the turtle's head.
