Chapter 132 Healing Medicine
"Swish swish..."
Three arrows pierced through the window, heading straight for Xiao Su's bed with lightning speed.
In an instant, Xiao Su grabbed the curtain in his hand and ripped it down with great force to block the arrows.
"It's terrible! There's an assassin! Protect the prince!"
The guards of the Prince's Palace were alarmed and jumped out to fight the man in black.
Xuan Yao looked terrified and was about to scream when Zhenbei Prince Xiao Su covered her mouth. He blew out the candles, plunging the inner room into darkness so as not to reveal his location.
Immediately, the side rooms on the back hill were in complete chaos.
Lin Yuesha rubbed her eyes; she had been woken up.
What? An assassin? Isn't this something from a movie? How did it actually happen?!
Where did the assassin come from? Was he an enemy of the Prince of Zhenbei, or a barbarian? Lin Yuesha had no idea.
There was a fight on the roof. Lin Yuesha looked around and realized that there was only one cabinet in the side room where she could hide, but she couldn't get out once she went in, so it was more flexible to stay outside.
She was just an innocent passerby!
Having revealed the truth, Lin Yuesha looked out the window.
It seemed that the Prince of Zhenbei had prepared this in advance, as a large number of guards emerged from the dense forest, their bows and arrows aimed at the black-clad assassins.
In comparison, the man in black was more agile and his skills were superior to those of the guards, but in the end, he was outnumbered.
"Kill them all, leave no one alive!"
Someone shouted, and the guards immediately surrounded the man in black, trapping him in a large circle.
Lin Yuesha witnessed with her own eyes a guard's head being chopped off alive, the head rolling in the snow, its eyes still open.
Curiosity killed the cat!
Unable to bear looking any longer, Lin Yuesha crouched in a dark corner, trembling.
A gust of cold wind blew by, and the back window of the room moved. The cold wind that rushed in made Lin Yuesha even more awake.
There was a strong smell of blood in the air; it was unclear whether it was coming from outside or was already inside.
"Who are you?"
Lin Yuesha heard a noise, turned around, and saw a dark figure.
She regretted asking the question; wouldn't she be killed to silence her?
"Xiao Xiaoya, it's me."
Ziyuan clutched his arm, which was bleeding profusely. This time, a traitor had emerged within the organization, falling into Xiao Su's trap, nearly ruining their plans and wiping out almost all of the assassins who had come.
He had just randomly chosen a room to hide in when he unexpectedly saw an old acquaintance.
"Sister Ziyuan?"
Lin Yuesha was completely stunned. She rubbed her eyes to make sure she wasn't seeing things. Only Ziyuan called her Xiao Xiaoya.
What's going on? Shion is involved with assassins? This seems a bit fantastical.
Do you have any medicine for your wounds?
Zi Yuan asked Lin Yue Sha that he needed to stop the bleeding first, and then leave through the back window. Zi Yuan's identity had been exposed, but he didn't even think about killing her to cover it up; instead, he was concerned about the little girl's safety.
Even he himself was surprised by his own decision.
Let's follow our hearts and make this decision!
"I didn't."
Lin Yuesha rummaged through her pack in frustration. Everything was there except for the medicine for her injuries.
She only wanted to ask for a few talismans on this trip, but who knew it would be so full of twists and turns.
"Sister Ziyuan, it's not safe here. I need to find a way to hide you."
Lin Yuesha was anxious. The room was only so big; where could she hide the person? What would she do if the guards came to search the room?
In that critical moment, she hated herself for not being calm; her mind was like mush.
"Little girl, don't worry, I will never be a burden to you."
Ziyuan smiled, her voice low and husky, yet quite pleasant to the ear.
Lin Yuesha shook her head. The most dangerous place is the safest place. If the Prince of Zhenbei was prepared, he must have set up a trap nearby, waiting for the men in black to take the bait.
She had a deep understanding of Xiao Su's ruthlessness.
At Zuifeng Tower, Ziyuan helped her, and Lin Yuesha was worried about not having a chance to repay her. Therefore, she would do everything she could to protect Ziyuan.
"You silly girl."
Ziyuan's arm had a deep cut, and the flesh was turned inside out, but he didn't even blink. He smiled so beautifully that it dazzled Lin Yuesha's eyes.
Such a beautiful person shouldn't have a scar!
...
The chaos lasted for about half an hour before it subsided slightly.
Upon hearing his subordinates' report, Prince Xiao Su of Zhenbei had already lost interest and ordered Granny Xiao to send Xuan Yao back.
Xuan Yao's situation was rather tragic. Before she could even serve the Prince of Zhenbei, she was gang-raped by him and shielded him from a crucial, fatal blow.
Xuan Yao's shoulder blade was pierced, and she is currently unconscious.
"Give her some medicine and send her back. Take good care of her."
After all, she had shielded him from the arrow, so Xiao Su wasn't being heartless, but he didn't want to see Xuan Yao.
"Yes, this old servant understands."
Granny Xiao had Xuan Yao carried straight to the side room.
This caused quite a commotion, and Lin Yuesha's heart nearly jumped out of her chest. She thought that the guards of the Prince of Zhenbei had begun to search the place.
Just now, someone shouted, "There are some who escaped the net, search them!"
"Granny Xiao, what brings you here?"
Lin Yuesha opened the door, pretending to be calm, making sure that Granny Xiao didn't notice anything amiss.
"Lin girl, there's been a little trouble. The smell of blood is strong, so don't come out."
Granny Xiao gave Lin Yuesha a few instructions and had the guards carry the person into the house. Lin Yuesha was stunned again when she saw Xuan Yao's bloodless face.
"The young lady took an arrow for the prince and was brought back."
Granny Xiao gave Lin Yuesha several medicine bottles, all filled with the finest wound medicine.
Are these medicines effective?
Lin Yuesha's eyes lit up, but fearing she would give herself away, she covered it up by saying, "The young lady's wound seems to be quite serious."
"The girl is frail; whether she can pull through depends on her own fate."
Granny Xiao disliked Xuan Yao very much, so she didn't plan to keep her and only gave her a few simple instructions.
"There's no need to be afraid, the guards from the Prince's Palace will search the place later."
After saying that, Granny Xiao walked away with light steps.
Xuan Yao was thrown onto the kang (a heated brick bed), her face pale and sweating, looking like she was in great pain.
Despite this, Lin Yuesha had no sympathy for those who set traps to kill themselves; if Xuan Yao were alive, it would be Lin Yuesha who died.
To prevent Xuan Yao from waking up, Lin Yuesha took Zhang Qing'er's wooden box and tapped Xuan Yao with it.
"Very good, he's completely passed out."
Lin Yuesha opened the medicine bottle and pushed it all in front of Ziyuan. She didn't recognize the medicine, so she could only let Ziyuan identify it herself.
"Give it all to me?"
Ziyuan raised an eyebrow in surprise. Was he that important to the little girl?
"Here you go, to stop the bleeding and reduce the inflammation. You absolutely mustn't let it get infected!"
There was no suturing technique in those days, and she was neither a doctor nor had any medical background, so she could only pray that the medicine would work for Ziyuan.
As for Xuan Yao? Who cares if she dies? It would be best if she died, then Lin Yuesha wouldn't have to stay here and serve Xuan Yao anymore.
All along, it was the Xuan family that owed her something, but she didn't owe Xuan Yao anything!
