Chapter 172 Holding Hands (2 / 2)

Huo Zhengye knew nothing about this and was still feeling nervous and incredibly surprised.

The two walked without speaking, but the ambiguity in the air was stronger than ever before. Huo Zhengye pursed his lips tightly, looking like someone who was not easy to mess with.

In fact, Yu Guang had been paying attention to Shu Wan. The distance between him and Shu Wan was originally half a meter, but as he approached and moved intentionally or unintentionally, the distance between them gradually became closer and closer.

Walking side by side, their hands occasionally touch.

The soft touch of the back of the hand made Huo Zhengye's heart flutter. He pursed his lips and frowned slightly.

I want to hold hands...

But was it too abrupt for Shu Wan to just confirm the relationship?

Huo Zhengye frowned, looking around, seemingly troubled by a huge problem.

Seeing this, Shu Wan chuckled and took the man's hand.

He's been looking at her for a long time. If he wants to hold hands, just go ahead.

It’s no wonder that the man’s hands were different from hers. They were more than twice as big as hers. Probably because of the calluses on his palms, they were particularly rough, but they felt particularly warm to hold.

In Shu Wan's memory, her father stopped holding her little hand since she was five years old. This warmth spread from her palm to her heart, and Shu Wan curled up the corners of her mouth with joy.

Huo Zhengye stared at Shu Wan's actions in a daze. After he reacted, he took the initiative and inserted his big palm into the small hand, interlocking their fingers.

Shu Wan felt the man's movements, but she said nothing and shook his hand silently.

Neither of them spoke a word, and they held hands all the way home.

Looking at the door of his home getting closer and closer, Huo Zhengye frowned. He always felt that the way home was too far before, but now he feels that he can never walk enough of this road.

"Home."

Shu Wan moved her hands, but Huo Zhengye still held her hand. Even though her palms were sweating, she was reluctant to let go.

Huo Zhengye hummed, with no intention of letting go. Shu Wan moved again, "Let go, I want to go back."

"Together." Huo Zhengye said softly. He had just confirmed his relationship with Shu Wan, and he wanted to stick with her all the time.

Shu Wan shook her head, "No, you should go back and rest." After a pause, she said, "I'll bring you the meal when it's ready."

Huo Zhengye's lost eyes lit up and the corners of his mouth couldn't help but curl up.

"You said so."

"Um!"

Shu Wan looked at Huo Zhengye's pale face and pushed him towards his home. "Go back and have a rest. I will definitely look for you."

Huo Zhengye looked at her several times before leaving reluctantly.

"Sister-in-law, what are you still doing at the door? Why don't you go in?"

Huo Miaoyue's voice woke Shu Wan up, and Shu Wan realized that she had been standing at the door for an unknown period of time.

"It's okay, go back to the house."

"Sister-in-law, don't change the subject. What were you looking at just now?" Huo Miaoyue leaned over and looked again and again, but Huo Zhengye had already entered the room, so Huo Miaoyue didn't see anything.

"It's strange. My sister-in-law is so fascinated by what she is looking at." Huo Miaoyue scratched her head, puzzled.

"Stop looking." Shu Wan urged awkwardly.

Huo Miaoyue returned to the house still mumbling, she suddenly thought of something and asked again: "Sister-in-law, how is my cousin?"

"Very well, he has returned and is resting at home."

Huo Miaoyue nodded. "It's not okay for my cousin to stay in the army all day. His family is here."

After saying that, Huo Miaoyue blinked at Shu Wan, who pretended not to see it. "I'm going to cook first. Don't stop me, I have to work."
