Huo Zhengye didn't insist anymore and took his things and went to the hospital.
Hospital.
Grandma Huo had been awake for a while. She looked at the strange yet familiar place, as she was clearly in the courtyard just now.
"Am I sick again?"
"Grandma, you remembered?" Huo Miaoyue was surprised.
Grandma Huo looked ashamed. "You have worked hard during this period. When I see Zhengye, I will ask her to help you find a job. You will stay in Hai City from now on. I will go back to my hometown."
"Grandma, what are you talking about? How can I let you go back alone?" Huo Miaoyue frowned in disapproval.
"Don't worry about me. I've found a job and I'm doing very well now."
"Really?" Grandma Huo smiled weakly, and the wrinkles on her face deepened a little.
Huo Miaoyue glanced at Grandma Huo worriedly. After returning to normal, her grandma looked like an old person, without any of the liveliness she had when she was sick. It was obvious that she was not a burden.
Seeing Huo Miaoyue's expression, Grandma Huo thought that what happened last time had happened again, so she asked softly, "Come here, dear child. Where did I hit you this time?"
Huo Miaoyue shook her head. "No, you've been so kind to me. If you don't believe me, ask my cousin and..."
Before he could finish his words, the door was pushed open and Huo Zhengye appeared.
Grandma Huo looked behind him and a look of disappointment flashed across her face.
Divorced.
It’s better to get a divorce, there’s no need to waste the girl’s time.
Grandma Huo forced a smile, "You're here too? I'm fine now, I don't need so many people to watch over me."
Huo Zhengye was surprised for a moment, thinking that his grandma had returned to normal.
"I just happened to be resting today. Your surgery just ended. I brought some things from home. Miaoyue, please pack them up."
Huo Miaoyue sighed, took the things and turned around to pack them up.
After not seeing her for some time, Huo Miaoyue seemed like a different person. The hostility between her brows disappeared, and she became lively and clever, just like when I took care of her as a child.
Her eldest grandson had become much thinner, but his complexion was rosy and he seemed to be living a good life.
Grandma Huo sighed, she was so happy after getting divorced.
"Grandma, why do you always sigh? Tell me what's bothering you." Huo Zhengye smiled and helped her twist the quilt. "You haven't eaten yet, right? I've cooked dinner at home and will bring it over later."
Grandma Huo looked at Huo Zhengye's smiling face and became furious. Is he so happy that his wife is gone?
Suddenly, Grandma Huo thought of something.
A suspicious look swept over Huo Zhengye, wondering if this boy was in love.
Well, it hasn't been long since he found his next employer. This guy really disappoints her. How can she hold her head up high when she sees Shu Wan in the future?
Huo Zhengye watched his grandmother's eyes change from suspicion at first to disgust, and he frowned in confusion.
Is grandma sick again?
"Grandma?" Huo Zhengye asked tentatively.
Grandma Huo hummed weakly, "I'm not hungry. Tell her not to come over. I don't want to see her."
She was referring to Huo Zhengye's new love.
Grandma Huo doesn't want to see her now. She feels uncomfortable when she sees her and thinks of Shu Wan. They are not destined to be granddaughters-in-law.
Grandma Huo sighed deeply again.
Huo Zhengye didn’t know what was wrong with his grandma. She always sighed whenever she saw him.
"The food she cooks is so delicious, grandma, you will definitely like it. And you just had surgery, you should at least eat something!"
Grandma Huo was upset and glared at him, "You are going to piss me off to death!"
