Fang Qin's eyes flashed with disgust, "It's none of your business where I am."
Shu Wan said "oh" and turned to leave.
Fang Qin grabbed her and said, "Stop."
"Mom, what do you want to talk to me about?" Shu Wan stopped and asked.
"You talk too much. If you don't speak, no one will think you are dumb."
Shu Wan was a little amused. "Mom, did you stop me because of what I said at the dinner table just now? I praised Zhengye as a capable and excellent man. Can't I say that?"
"You can praise Huo Tianhe and Huo Minglang for an hour without repeating yourself, but you won't let me say a word for Huo Zhengye. Mom, think about it with your toes. Is this fair to him?"
Fang Qin was a little flustered. "He is my son. I can do whatever I want. There is no need for you to tell him what to do."
"I'm his wife and a member of his family. How can I not be qualified?" Shu Wan paused, "In my opinion, you are not qualified to be his family."
"I didn't mean to say something harsh. Have you ever cared about him during the days he was home? Do you care whether he has had a hard time in the army these years? Do you care whether he has been injured?"
"I guess you won't. After all, you have two good sons vying for your care, so how can you care about him?"
Shu Wan's words were hard for Fang Qin to accept for a while, and they sounded very harsh.
Fang Qin looked embarrassed and said sternly, "Shut up!"
"Mom, what's wrong with you? Are you feeling guilty? I just told you the truth, and you can't stand it? If you are really irritated by me, then you should take care of your son instead of coming to cause trouble for me."
Shu Wan said calmly.
Fang Qin stared at her with disgust in her eyes, "My in-laws are not here today, so I will teach you a lesson for them."
As she spoke, Fang Qin raised her hand and fanned Shu Wan.
Fang Qin's wrist was grasped tightly, and she looked at him in astonishment. Huo Zhengye's eyes were dim, and it was unclear what emotion was in his dark pupils.
Fang Qin panicked for no apparent reason, but soon her habitual thinking stopped her from thinking deeply. Instead, she put her hands on her hips and pointed at Shu Wan confidently, "Huo Zhengye, you came at the right time. Your wife just disrespected me and said bad things about me."
"I can't stand it anymore. This family can only have me or her. You have to divorce her today, or you can never come back to this family again."
Fang Qin's angry voice was uncontrollably loud and soon attracted everyone in the room. Hearing what Fang Qin said, Huo Minglang panicked and hurried over to try to reconcile.
"Mom, is there any misunderstanding? It's fine once the misunderstanding is resolved. Don't be impulsive. Let's sit down and talk it over."
Huo Tianhe on the side was unhappy. This was great news and a good opportunity for his elder brother to get a divorce.
He pulled Huo Minglang away and said, "What are you talking about, little brother? Is Mom an unreasonable person? Shu Wan must have pissed Mom off again, otherwise why would Mom be so angry?"
Liu Shiting also chimed in, "Yes, everyone in the village knows Shu Wan has a bad temper. How can our mom fight her? Look, mom's hands are shaking with anger."
"Brother, please agree to mom's request. Look how angry I am. Can you bear it?" Huo Tianhe shouted immediately.
Zheng Fangmei, who was standing by, couldn't bear to watch any longer. "What's wrong with Shu Wan? I think she's fine. She's an excellent girl."
"Fang Qin, I thought you had bad eyesight before, but now I am even more certain that not only do you have bad eyesight, but you also have a bad brain."
These were all Zheng Fangmei's sincere words. In her opinion, Fang Qin was just too pretentious. Shu Wan ran a factory and was a good match for her son, but why did she look down on her when she came to her house?
