When closing the door, Lin Gaowen turned around and looked at her deeply. Their eyes met. Shu Wan nodded politely and then closed the door to block out any scrutiny.
When she got home, Lin Xiaoxiao wondered, "Mom and Dad, did I say something wrong?"
Feng Lan forced a smile and sent Lin Xiaoxiao back to her room.
