Chapter 49 Treat Me to a Dinner (2 / 2)

Shu Wan just shook her head to indicate that she had misunderstood, and the next second the thing in her hand was in Huo Zhengye's hand, and the vegetable vendor's smile became even brighter.

Perhaps it was because Huo Zhengye was handsome and won the heart of the auntie, Shu Wan felt that she bought a lot more vegetables today than usual.

As for the fact that every time they arrived at a place, the aunt looked at them with an ambiguous smile. Shu Wan tried to argue at first, but later she just smiled and kept silent.

There's no point in explaining. I just hope Huo Zhengye doesn't care.

However, Shu Wan decided that if she had the chance again, she would never follow him out, otherwise she would not be able to say it even if she had a hundred mouths.

Shu Wan returned home empty-handed, followed by Huo Zhengye, whose hands were full of things. Without Shu Wan's instructions, he put the things directly in the kitchen.

"I'll go cook." Shu Wan took off her coat, got up and went to the kitchen.

Huo Zhengye also followed him in and took the initiative to take on the role of assistant.

It has to be said that Huo Zhengye is good at doing housework. He is quick and nimble and takes the initiative to do tasks like washing vegetables and peeling garlic, which makes Shu Wan's life much easier.

Especially when Huo Zhengye rolled up his sleeves, revealing his arms with well-defined muscles and his sharp and delicate profile, it was... quite pleasing to the eye.

Shu Wan couldn't help but look at him several times. What a virtuous man. She would never see him again in the future. She should look at him more while she can.

However, the sigh only lasted for a few seconds. Shu Wan turned around to get something and was caught off guard and bumped into a hard chest.

Shu Wan was pushed back half a step, and Huo Zhengye hurriedly supported Shu Wan upon seeing this.

Huo Zhengye put his big hands on Shu Wan's waist, but he accidentally used too much force and the whole person crashed into Huo Zhengye again.

A soft touch stronger than before came from his chest, and Huo Zhengye's face and ears turned completely red.

Shu Wan pushed Huo Zhengye away, her face grimacing in pain, her chest aching. Is this man made of stone? He's so hard, it hurts so much.

The pain made Shu Wan close her admiring eyes. After bumping into Huo Zhengye N times, Shu Wan became irritable.

"You go out, I'll do it myself."

Looking at Shu Wan's ugly face, Huo Zhengye knew he was in the wrong, so he shut up and walked out silently.

After everyone left, Shu Wan felt that the kitchen space had become much larger and the air had become fresher. After clearing her mind, she continued to concentrate on cooking.

Huo Zhengye came out of the kitchen, looking at the dim sky, the smell of rice in the air, and the busy figures shuttling back and forth in the kitchen. Suddenly, he felt a bloated feeling, like home.

Huo Zhengye was shocked by this thought and shook his head to put the idea behind him.

After leaving the kitchen, Huo Zhengye couldn't sit still, so he got up and cleaned the house. During the cleaning, he saw that the curtains by the window were not hung, so he hung them up.

The cleaning is done and the meal is ready.

Huo Zhengye ate his meal in big mouthfuls, glancing at Shu Wan from the corner of his eyes. Shu Wan ate in a very polite manner, chewing slowly in small bites, with puffy cheeks.

Huo Zhengye moved his fingers, feeling the urge to poke it to see if it was as soft as he imagined.

Seeing Shu Wan looking up at him, Huo Zhengye lowered his head and took a big bite, choking due to his hurried movements.

Huo Zhengye's face turned visibly red and he kept coughing.

Seeing this, Shu Wan quickly poured him a glass of water, handed it to him, then squatted down and patted his back with her hand, helping him to breathe smoothly.

When taking the water, Huo Zhengye accidentally touched Shu Wan's hand. Unlike his own calloused hands, her hands were soft and smooth, and it seemed that her bones were softer than his.

The other hand was patting his back to calm him down, but her strength was too weak, and it was more like tickling, causing a tingling sensation on the back where it was touched.
