31. Chapter 31 Sent Back

The closer you get, the clearer it is. The sedan chair is a bit shabby, as if it has been there for a long time. When the cold wind blows, the curtains are lifted, and you can vaguely see the bride sitting inside.

Wen Qi watched with great interest, this was the first time she had seen a ghost marriage where the man was not taken away but the woman was sent here instead, it was a bit novel.

The bridal sedan was carried directly into the house. After it landed, the paper figurine in front stepped forward and shouted in a strange voice, "The auspicious time has come. Enter the bridal chamber!"

Wen Qi was stunned. Shouldn’t they get married first?

The curtain of the sedan slowly opened and the bride walked out. Although she was covered by a veil, she still approached Feng Ce accurately.

As if teleporting, the bride didn't move, but in the blink of an eye she took a big step closer.

Wen Qi couldn't sit still any longer, and stood in front of Feng Ce, only one meter away from the bride. But she seemed to be completely unaware of the fear, and stopped him, saying, "Wait! Are you going to marry him in the underworld without even checking whether he has a wife in the world of the living? You are committing bigamy!"

The bride paused, probably because she had never met a human being who was not afraid of her and even talked to her, so she was a little confused.

After a while, the bride's eerie, hollow voice rang out, "What is bigamy?"

Wen Qi raised an eyebrow, "Didn't the person who arranged your ghost marriage tell you that this person already has a wife?"

The bride acted very calmly, "It doesn't matter. It's normal for a man to have three wives and four concubines. As long as I am the principal wife, it's fine."

Wen Qi rolled her eyes, "But I have connections, my husband can only have me!"

Feng Ce's heart skipped a beat, as if someone had hit him with a hammer, and he couldn't recover for a long time.

The bride's body was filled with negative energy. "You want to stop me from getting married?"

Wen Qi corrected, "I want to defend my rights!"

The bride said in a clear voice, "I understand. You also want to be the legal wife. Then let's see how it goes."

After she finished speaking, the bride suddenly raised her hand and pinched Wen Qi's neck.

The loose wedding dress slid down, revealing a pair of pale but smooth hands. If the nails were not gray and sharp, it would not seem out of place to say they were the hands of a girl. But when these hands got close to her, one could find that they were filled with coldness and the fingertips were sharp, which was definitely not something a living person could have.

If it were any other Heavenly Master, being attacked at such a close distance while having to protect the people behind him, most of them would not be able to react in time. Even if they could react, at most they could just use their magic weapons to resist.

But Wen Qi is different, she can touch ghosts.

In her eyes, the ghost bride's action was no different from a shrew rushing forward in a fight. There were flaws everywhere.

Wen Qi calmly pulled his legs back slightly, adjusted his center of gravity, and then raised his leg and kicked! He hit the ghost bride right in the stomach!

The ghost bride was obviously caught off guard and was kicked flying backwards, then crashed back into the sedan with a bang.

"Ah——!" The ghost bride screamed miserably, the sound was extremely harsh.

Wen Qi took the time to look back at Feng Ce and said, "Stand back a little, don't bump into it, and hold on to the talisman I gave you."

Of course they wouldn't just wait for the ghost to cause trouble without any preparation. They are not stupid.

Feng Ce nodded and maneuvered the wheelchair backward to give her room to move.

The ghost bride quickly rushed out of the sedan chair again, and the veil on her face was lifted because of her big movement, revealing a gray but beautiful face. She was a very young girl, probably less than 20 years old when she died.

No wonder it's so gullible.

Thinking of this, Wen Qi kicked again without hesitation, using a little more strength.

This time the ghost bride directly smashed the sedan chair.

The four paper men who originally wanted to come up to help suddenly froze, cleverly pretending that they would not move at all.

The ghost bride climbed out of the broken sedan chair, staring at Wen Qi with bloodshot eyes, and did not move forward for a while.

Wen Qi smiled slightly, "Can we have a good chat?"

It was obvious that the bride didn't want to say another word to this stumbling block, so she turned around and rushed to the floor-to-ceiling window on the balcony.

The ghost bride's ghostly aura surged, and she asked eerily, "What do you want to talk about?"

"Let's talk about who asked you to come to him for a ghost marriage." Wen Qi pointed back, and Feng Ce cooperated and walked over by controlling the wheelchair.

The bride immediately calmed down and complained: "He was the one who first offered the betrothal gifts and sent the marriage certificate. Now I come to fulfill the contract, but you don't acknowledge me!"

Feng Ce's expression froze, and he said in a cold voice: "Impossible, except for Wen Qi, I have never been engaged to anyone or any ghost."

Wen Qi raised his chin and said, "Did you hear that? You've been deceived!"

The bride looked at her and said faintly, "How do you know that he didn't lie to you?"

Wen Qi sneered, "Don't use your tricks on me. We are a legal couple with a marriage certificate. Besides, with me, how can he fall in love with someone else?"

The bride stared at her and sighed, "Someone did put his birth date and marriage certificate on my grave."

As expected, Wen Qi asked, "Did you bring the stuff with you?"

"Of course." The bride took out two pieces of unconventionally neatly folded red paper from her clothes and handed them to Wen Qi.

Wen Qi took it naturally.

Although she had felt it before, there was still a hint of shock in the bride's eyes. This person could really touch things from the underworld directly. This was the first time she had seen such a person in all her years as a ghost.

Wen Qi spread out both pieces of paper, examined them carefully, and finally found what he wanted.

She chanted a spell silently, grabbed the marriage certificate, and grabbed out a wisp of ethereal breath.

Wen Qi said softly: "Everyone's soul carries a unique aura, and the things they handle will naturally be tainted with this aura. Mortals can't see or touch it, but the Heavenly Master can see it but can't catch it. I am the only one in this world who can make full use of this illusory thing."

While speaking, Wen Qi did not stop her movements. She bit her fingertips and drew a very complicated rune in the air, then threw the captured breath onto the rune.

The rune suddenly became lively, as if it were alive, and rubbed Wen Qi's fingers affectionately.

Wen Qi smiled and looked at the ghost bride, "Follow it, it will lead you to find the real owner of the marriage certificate."

A hint of viciousness flashed in the ghost bride's eyes. She wanted to see who was so bold as to play tricks on her!

Before leaving, the ghost bride politely bowed to the two men and said, "Sorry for disturbing you tonight."

In the blink of an eye, everything around him returned to normal, and the cold and depressing feeling disappeared.

"Does it hurt?"

Wen Qi looked over in confusion. Feng Ce was staring at her hand with a frown on his face. He asked again in a low voice, "I always see you biting your fingers. Doesn't it hurt?"

"Pfft!" Wen Qi couldn't help laughing. She stretched out the finger she had just bitten and placed it in front of Feng Ce's eyes, asking him to take a closer look. "Actually, I didn't bite it at all. I just thought that doing that action would be more impressive! Don't you think so?"

Feng Ce frowned even deeper, he couldn't understand.

Wen Qi took his hand back and touched his nose, "Okay, try not to bite next time. It's a bit late, you should go to bed early."

Feng Ce's brows relaxed slightly, and he said skillfully, "Good night."

Wen Qi opened the door and said good night, then said, "By the end of the month at the latest, I will be able to completely remove the hungry ghost curse from you."

Although he had a premonition, hearing it with his own ears still made Feng Ce's heart beat faster and he was a little dazed. When he came to his senses, the door was already closed.

Feng Ce took a deep breath, took out his phone, and typed two words very solemnly, "Thank you."

Wen Qi in the next room sighed after receiving the message. There was less than half a month left until the end of the month, so she had to hurry.

Please vote! Thank you everyone! (End of this chapter)
