39. Is Chapter 39 a Date?

After the ghost energy left by the ghost bride had almost dissipated, Feng Hua began to get better. He was more awake and even started to inquire about the company's projects again.

After learning that the project had been transferred to someone else, Feng Hua was so angry that his eyes turned red. He was about to call Feng Ce to argue with him on the spot, but was stopped by Feng Xingzhi.

Feng Xingzhi advised: "Feng Ce may know about the ghost marriage. You should take good care of your health first. Why bother with a dying person? Feng family will be ours sooner or later."

Feng Hua was persuaded and sneered, "Let Feng Ce drag his crippled body and work hard to make money for us."

A few nights after he said this, Feng Hua suddenly screamed, blood came out of all his orifices, his eyes rolled back and he fainted.

Feng Xingzhi went to see Feng Hua the next morning and was horrified to find that his pillow and clothes were soaked in blood and he looked a little cold. However, he was lucky enough to still be alive. He was sent to the emergency room and survived.

Just like before, the doctor still couldn't find the cause of the disease. In fact, Feng Hua was in very good health. Apart from thrombocytopenia and anemia caused by blood loss, he didn't have any other symptoms.

Finally, the doctor implicitly reminded Feng Xingzhi that he could ask the Taoist priest to take a look.

Feng Xingzhi pursed his lips and nodded in response.

Back in the ward, Feng Hua was lying unconscious on the bed. The bed had been replaced with a new one, but there was still a faint smell of blood in the room.

Feng Xingzhi stood there motionless for a long time before he finally made up his mind, took out his cell phone and dialed a number he knew by heart.

The call was connected quickly, but there was no sound on the other end.

Feng Xingzhi whispered: "Master, Feng Hua has been attacked back."

Two seconds later, a feminine voice sounded from the other side: "The killing curse has been broken?"

Feng Xingzhi took a deep breath and said, "There is no other possibility."

"Interesting..." The master muttered to himself, and then said: "I will go to Yunhai City in a while, and we will talk about it when we meet."

As soon as he finished speaking, the communication was cut off.

Feng Xingzhi gritted his teeth, walked to Feng Hua's bedside, and whispered: "Dad won't let anything happen to you."

The news of Feng Hua's serious illness soon reached the Feng family. Old Man Feng and Feng Xiao even went to the hospital to see him once. He was indeed pale and looked like he was terminally ill.

After all, he was his grandson. The old man couldn't bear to see Feng Hua like this. He immediately gave a large sum of money and asked Feng Xingzhi to hire the best doctors and Taoist priests.

Feng Xingzhi didn't seem to appreciate it, and asked the grandfather and grandson to leave with a cold face.

Old Master Feng was so angry that he kept cursing Feng Xingzhi all the way, saying that he was an unfilial son.

Feng Xiao was too calm, "Aren't they always like this?" They didn't know what was good for them, as if others owed them something.

Old Master Feng sighed, looked out the window silently, and his back suddenly became more hunched.

Feng Xiao couldn't bear it anymore and patted him on the back, "Don't be angry, we are still here."

Old Master Feng snorted stubbornly, "Fortunately, we have Feng Ce and Wen Qi. What use are you to?"

Feng Xiao nodded obediently, "Yes, yes, so why do you care about them? Maybe it's all retribution."

Old Master Feng didn't take his words to heart. Unexpectedly, Feng Ce came to his study room that night and told him a piece of news that made him unbelievable.

“You said that the Hungry Ghost Curse was cast by Feng Hua?” Grandpa Feng’s first reaction was disbelief, but Feng Ce must have evidence, otherwise he would not have told him.

After a long silence, Mr. Feng sighed heavily, "Why?"

Feng Ce didn't say anything. He knew that his grandfather understood everything, but he just didn't want to believe it.

After another suffocating silence, Feng Ce spoke again: "Grandpa, no matter what happens next, don't interfere or ask about it."

Old Master Feng waved his hand and staggered out of the study, as if he had aged several years in an instant.

Feng Ce sat in the darkness for a long time with his eyes lowered. When he controlled the wheelchair to the window, under the moonlight, his expression was normal and there was no sign of hesitation.

Wen Qi answered the call quickly and got straight to the point, "How's Grandpa?"

"Fortunately, he will accept it." Feng Ce asked: "What are you going to do?"

Wen Qi said in a deep voice: "Wait, wait for the person behind Feng Hua to come out."

The matter has come to an end for the time being. Apart from caring about Feng Ce's rehabilitation progress, Wen Qi only has to worry about his professional courses and Fan Xiaoling's studies. He has spent some leisurely days.

After finally memorizing the book, Fan Xiaoling began to learn how to draw talismans. She was busy as a dog again, but her growth was visibly fast.

Wen Qi was very satisfied.

In the blink of an eye, Christmas is here.

Christmas fell on a Wednesday, and there were classes all day long. Everyone was absent-minded in class and was discussing where to go out for fun in the evening.

Wen Qi thought of Feng Ce. Should she go on a date with him in the evening? But she didn't say hello in advance. Feng Ce was so busy, he probably didn't have time.

Wen Qi sighed, carrying the book and walked out with the crowd.

As soon as he walked out of the teaching building, he heard bursts of suppressed exclamations, and Wen Qi subconsciously looked in the direction where the sound came from.

A tall and graceful figure unexpectedly caught her eye.

Wen Qi was stunned for a moment, then walked over quickly, surprised and happy, "You can walk now? When did it happen? Didn't you say yesterday that you could only stand for a while?" She paused, pouted and said, "You lied to me!"

Feng Ce looked at her softly, "I want to give you a surprise."

Wen Qi looked at him for two seconds and couldn't help but smile, "Then you succeeded."

Wen Qi was even more surprised when he didn't see any cars nearby. "How did you get here? Can you walk for a long time now? Will you get tired?"

Feng Ce motioned for her to walk and talk, and answered without missing a word: "Uncle Li sent me in. I haven't tried how long I can walk, so I can try it today. I won't feel tired now."

People passing by were looking at them. They were both so good-looking and looked a perfect match walking together.

Wen Qi turned to look at him and suddenly realized that he was a head taller than her, about 1.9 meters tall? He was also dressed differently from usual, a black windbreaker, a beige sweater, jeans and Martin boots. This outfit didn't look out of place on campus.

It’s just that this person’s aura is too strong, not like an ordinary student.

Wen Qi retracted his gaze and asked, "Where are we going?"

Feng Ce said, "Let's go to the China-Australia Plaza. There are Christmas activities there."

Wen Qi's heart was moved. She had just heard someone say in class that there was a couples event at the China-Australia Plaza. She didn't expect...

She pretended not to know, nodded and smiled, "Okay, then let's go to the cafeteria to eat first? I'll treat you!"

Feng Ce shook his head and said, "Let's go directly to the China-Australia Plaza. There is a famous coconut chicken restaurant there. I have already reserved a seat."

Wen Qi was a little surprised. Their President Feng was very good at making arrangements.

The two of them walked and chatted all the way to the parking lot. In less than twenty minutes, sweat had already seeped out of Feng Ce's forehead.

Wen Qi was worried in his heart, but he didn't show it on his face.

This was a date specially arranged by Feng Ce, and she would try her best not to leave him with any regrets.

Thinking of this, Wen Qi was slightly stunned.

This should be considered a date, right? (End of this chapter)
