Da Bao happened to be in the yard and called out to Xie Zhuo as he saw him, heading towards the kitchen.
"Okay!" Xu Yan replied.
Da Bao ran into the kitchen with a satisfied expression. Xie Zhuo smiled at him, then scooped water to wash up and change clothes. By the time he finished and went to the kitchen, Xu Yan's noodles were just ready.
Estimating his appetite, Xu Yan fried five eggs and then added extra noodles, making what looked like two days' worth of food.
Xie Zhu patted Da Bao and Xiao Bao on the head, then took the bowl from Xu Yan's hand. Taking advantage of their simultaneous forward movement, he leaned over and kissed her forehead.
