Chapter 25 Sunflower

The sunflowers grown in rural areas are different from the sunflower varieties used for ornamental purposes in later generations.

The former is mostly used for food or oil extraction. It has a thick stem, large leaves, and can usually grow up to the height of a person. The flower heads are large and full. In order to make the large flower heads grow well, other small flower heads growing on the same stem are usually removed to ensure that the large flower heads have sufficient nutrition.

The latter is mainly for ornamental purposes; the flower heads will not grow too large, and the stems tend to be slender and long, and they generally will not grow side branches.

"Since you went through so much trouble to find it," Xie Zhuo glanced at Liu Mancang, "why are you putting it in my hand?"

"But they didn't say they'd send these flowers, did they?" Zhao Jisheng interjected.

"Tsk, what's wrong with this?" Liu Mancang was unhappy that his early morning labor was being belittled. "Isn't it a flower? It's all yellow and orange, so pretty. It's much better than the wildflowers by the roadside!"

Zhao Jisheng: "...That's true."

"I'm telling you, Third Brother," Liu Mancang said, getting a little anxious as Xie Zhuo remained lazy and indifferent, "you need to put your heart into this important life event!"

“My mom said that once a man gets past my age, he's no longer in demand. I can't be picky anymore; I have to take the initiative. Otherwise, when I get older, I'll only be able to find divorced women with children…”

Oh shit.

Xie Zhuo was so angry he laughed.
