Chapter 11 Wedding Night
"Xiaobai, are you really going to buy it for me?" Yang Jinsheng rubbed his hands and looked at her expectantly.
Jiang Xinbai gritted his teeth and said, "Buy it. Go and have a look when you have time."
Anyway, sooner or later my family will find out that I brought a hundred yuan as a dowry. In order to prevent them from borrowing money, I might as well spend it. Of course, the money for buying the bicycle will be taken from the money that Yang Jinsheng just handed in, and I will keep the money for myself, haha.
The Yang family just had a quick dinner and soon everyone went back to their rooms to rest. The most excited one was Yang Jinsheng, who was about to eat meat.
"Xiaobai, you smell so good. Did you put on some perfume? I like it so much." Yang Jinsheng leaned his head on Jiang Xinbai's neck and sniffed around like a puppy.
"Oh, you're making me so itchy. It's just some lotion." Jiang Xinbai pushed his head away with disgust.
Yang Jinsheng didn't mind, he smiled and moved closer, and asked carefully: "Then shall I start?"
Jiang Xinbai was really speechless by him. She fell on the bed and didn't bother to pay attention to him.
Yang Jinsheng was very attentive and helped Jiang Xinbai take off her clothes. Then he pressed forward and kissed her while saying, "Smells good, my dear, you smell so good."
"Oh, be gentle, don't hurt me, um~"
Li Huifen heard the noise coming from next door and said, "Shame on you, making such a loud noise, are you afraid that others won't hear it?"
Yang Jinqiang next to him slowly stretched out his hand and said, "Don't envy others, let's do it too."
Li Huifen's face slowly turned red. Really, they are already an old couple and are still like this. It's so embarrassing.
On the other side, Yang Jinwei and his wife naturally did not want to be left behind and also served as the bride and groom.
Sun Erni's face turned red as she listened to the noises coming from her three sons' rooms across the street. She thought to herself that the noise was really too loud.
Jiang Xinbai felt like a small boat, drifting on the water, ups and downs all night long.
At dawn the next day, she was awakened by Yang Jinsheng again, and she began to moan passively along with his movements.
Li Huifen was also awakened by the noise next door. She pushed her husband beside her and said, "Get up, get up. It's time to go to work." Then she knocked on the wall in anger. It really didn't stop.
But the noise from next door only stopped for a while before it started again, making Li Huifen so angry that she twisted her husband's arm to vent her anger, "Why don't you get up quickly? If you're late, you'll be fined and you'll be done for."
"Hiss, you old woman, why are you so mad so early in the morning?"
Yang Jinqiang sat up in pain and glared at Li Huifen. But when he heard the noise coming from next door, he paused and explained, "Didn't I satisfy you last night? We are newlyweds, so please be considerate."
Li Huifen rolled her eyes at him, sat up straight, put on her clothes and walked out of the room. As soon as she left, Su Qiuyan from next door also came out, and the two looked at each other, both feeling helpless.
Jiang Xinbai was so tired that she fell asleep again after Yang Jinsheng finished.
"Mom, leave some breakfast for Xiaobai and let her sleep a little longer. I'm going to work first." Yang Jinsheng said as he picked up three multi-grain steamed buns and put them in his pocket, preparing to eat while walking, otherwise he would be late for work.
Before Sun Erni could say anything, Li Huifen's eyes turned red and she said sarcastically, "Third brother, I'm telling you, how can a new bride stay in bed on the first day? Mom has already gotten up, but it's inappropriate for your third brother's wife to still be sleeping, isn't it?"
Yang Jinsheng was stunned, then explained to his mother: "Mom, it's my fault. I tired Xiaobai last night."
Sun Erni waved her hands and said, "It's okay, it's okay. Let her sleep. Mom will save breakfast for her." It's not like she didn't hear the noise last night and this morning. After all, they were newlyweds, so she could understand.
But Li Huifen was not happy, and continued to find fault: "It's like everyone comes here this way, this is too delicate, don't you think, Qiuyan?"
Su Qiuyan glanced at her mother-in-law and brother-in-law, lowered her head silently and said nothing. Her husband said that she should stay out of the affairs of her eldest sister-in-law and the third son's family, as it would be a thankless task.
Yang Jinsheng could tell that his sister-in-law had been looking for trouble since early in the morning, so he didn't indulge her and started to fire directly, "Sister-in-law, if I were you, this is all your fault. If you hadn't lived up to your expectations and didn't give birth to a boy for our Yang family, wouldn't Xiaobai and I be so tired? Mom, we want to give you a grandson soon."
Li Huifen got anxious when she heard this. She stood up and pointed at Yang Jinsheng, "Who are you saying is disappointing? How can you talk like that? I'm your eldest sister-in-law. An eldest sister-in-law is like a mother. You..."
Yang Jinsheng waved his hand and refused, "Don't do that. The eldest sister-in-law is like a mother to me. It means that my mother is gone. Now my mother is still here. Could it be that you are still hoping that my mother will pass away sooner so that you can take charge of the family?"
Sun Erni glared at her eldest daughter-in-law and said, "Shut up, Third Brother, you too. Go to work quickly."
"Okay, Mom, I'm going to work first." Yang Jinsheng knew when to stop. He was about to be late for work, but he didn't have time to argue with her. He picked up the kettle and ran away.
"Mom, look at the third brother, he is so disrespectful to me, the eldest sister-in-law." Li Huifen was still angry.
Sun Erni glanced at her sideways, "Who do you blame? It's your own fault. Xiaobai just got married, as the eldest sister-in-law, can't you be more understanding? Send the child to kindergarten quickly. There are only a few matchboxes left today, hurry up and finish gluing them so you can get the next batch."
When it comes to making money, Li Huifen can only shut up for now. After all, one can't go against money.
When Jiang Xinbai woke up again, it was already bright outside, with the sun shining through the window. She rubbed her eyes, quickly put on her clothes and walked out.
Sun Erni, who was gluing matchboxes together in the corridor, saw her daughter-in-law getting up, looked up and said, "I've warmed up your breakfast in the pot, eat quickly."
"That's right, mom loves you the most. When have your second sister-in-law and I ever been treated like this?" Li Huifen took a pasted matchbox in her hand and threw it into the frame.
Jiang Xinbai paused holding the steamed bun, pursed his lips, and didn't respond. Instead, he changed the subject and asked, "Mom, how much does it cost to make these matchboxes? Do you have them every day?"
Sun Erni glanced at her daughter-in-law and patiently explained, "They are all calculated at one dollar for one thousand two hundred pieces. They are not often available. We can only get them because we have a good relationship with your Aunt Xu upstairs. Oh, that's your second sister's mother-in-law."
Manual work such as pasting matchboxes was also assigned by the factory to the streets, and the streets would then distribute it to residents according to the situation. Although Xu Fengni was only a temporary worker, it was easier to get things done with someone in the court, so the Yang family would often get the job of pasting matchboxes and earn a few dollars.
"Yeah, you can't make much money standing all day making matchboxes, and it's tiring for your eyes. I don't think your sister-in-law would like it, right? I don't want you to suffer, so you just need to help with the housework in the future."
Li Huifen responded, saying that there were not many matchboxes in a month to begin with, and if Jiang Xinbai was included, the money would be even less, and she was not willing to do that.
Su Qiuyan beside her looked up at Li Huifen, then lowered her head again. Since it was not her who was at a disadvantage, why bother with her?
