After saying this, Jiang Jingxue quickly ran out of the office.
The old man's urging voice could be heard from behind.
"Comrade Jiang, you'd better think it over quickly! Once the spot is given to someone else, it's gone forever!"
Jiang Jingxue had just come out of the office.
Suddenly, a dark figure appeared beside her, grabbed her arm, and dragged her to a corner.
Jiang Jingxue looked closely and realized that the person was Yue Keqi.
She looked surprised.
"Yue Keqi? What are you doing here?"
"I...I was worried because you stayed in the pharmacology professor's office for so long, so I followed you to check on you!" Then she whispered in his ear, "I'd heard other female classmates say that this pharmacology professor is a lecher, and I thought it was just a rumor, but I didn't expect him to be so shameless!"
Yue Keqi looked indignant.
Immediately afterwards, she took Jiang Jingxue's hand.
"Sister Jingxue, how much money do we need to prepare for him to secure his spot in the competition? I'll figure out how to pay for the gifts, but please don't sleep with him!"
"When did I say I wanted to sleep with him?"
"Didn't you just say you needed to think about it? Doesn't 'thinking about it' mean you have this idea?"
Jiang Jingxue was truly exasperated by Yue Keqi's thought process, and she reached out and tapped her forehead.
"Are you stupid or am I stupid? Why would I leave a handsome man like Gu Pingwei to sleep with that old man? Are you kidding me? Am I out of my mind, or blind?"
After thinking about it carefully, Yue Keqi realized that what she said made a lot of sense.
The Gu family is so wealthy, and Brother Pingwei is very generous to her.
She can even run a seafood supermarket, so there's no way she wouldn't have the money to buy small gifts.
So, she was pretending to be poor in front of the pharmacology teacher on purpose.
"Sister Jingxue, it's good that you don't have that thought, it's good that you don't have that thought."
Yue Keqi was finally relieved.
"I'm warning you! You're still under observation, so don't try to label me, or I'll never talk to you again!"
"I...I was just worried about you."
Yue Keqi tried to make amends for herself.

Yue Keqi hitched a ride with Gu Pingwei again, insisting on following Jiang Jingxue back to the Gu family home.

The more Yue Keqi thought about what happened tonight, the more she felt something was wrong.
The spot in the competition should have belonged to Sister Jingxue in the first place. What if the pharmacology teacher deliberately makes things difficult for her and doesn't give her the spot?
After thinking it over, Yue Keqi decided to remind Gu Pingwei so that he could prepare in advance.
After getting off the bus.

Yue Keqi was afraid that Jiang Jingxue would find out and think that she was complaining about her, so she could only give vague answers.
Gu Pingwei silently kept this matter in mind.
Jiang Jingxue only realized that the two of them hadn't followed her after she had already entered the house.
She turned her head back.
What are you doing in the back?
"Oh, well... it's nothing, Pingwei's wheelchair is stuck, I'll help him."
Yue Keqi quickly found an excuse and pushed Gu Pingwei in.
Jiang Jingxue looked at Yue Keqi with suspicion.
Yue Keqi felt a little guilty.

I saw Bai Xiuxiu and Chen Yuyan get out of the car.
Chen Yuyan was carrying many bags and packages on his arms.
"Honey, you live here? This yard looks huge!"
Bai Xiuxiu stood outside the door, looking at the high courtyard wall.
"Could you please come in and have a seat?"
How could Chen Yuyan dare to let Bai Xiuxiu in?
If she really comes in, wouldn't that let her know that this house doesn't belong to him?
If he were to run into Jiang Zhizhi again, and the two women were to start a fight, all his previous efforts would be in vain.
"Xiuxiu, my family is quite strict. Before we get married, I can't just bring girls home. But don't worry, once we're married, this whole house will be yours, and you'll be the lady of the house!"

Chen Yuyan carried large and small bags into the house.
