"You say I splashed water on you, do you have any proof? You're just barking like a dog without any evidence, or I'll sue you for defamation!"
Jiang Jingxue didn't hold back either and retorted directly.
Yue Keqi also chimed in from the side.
"You don't even know who you've offended, yet you're here falsely accusing innocent people! Sister Jingxue has been taking care of my brother Pingwei at the hospital every day lately, how could she have time to bother with your business?"
"You say you were in the hospital, what proof do you have?" Bai Xiuxiu was still unwilling to give up, insisting that Jiang Jingxue was the one who did it. "Maybe this is just a pretext for you. You've been on leave for so long, maybe you're plotting something to harm me!"

Jiang Jingxue stared intently at Bai Xiuxiu.
Bai Xiuxiu was not to be outdone.
"If you can't produce any evidence, then you are the murderer. Please kneel down and apologize to me in front of the entire school, and compensate me for all my losses!"
"Okay, but don't you dare go back on your word!"
Jiang Jingxue pulled out a stack of payment receipts directly from her bag.
The payment date, the payer's name, and signature are clearly marked on it.
At the exact moment Bai Xiuxiu was splashed with water, Jiang Jingxue was paying her hospital bills.
"This payment receipt serves as my alibi. If you still don't believe me, you can go to the hospital and ask the doctor or nurses. I was at the hospital the entire day that day!"
"Bai Xiuxiu, can you prove my innocence now? Please apologize to me immediately!"
Despite the irrefutable evidence before her, Bai Xiuxiu was still unwilling to admit defeat.
"You might be forging this payment receipt. Anyway, you're definitely the one who threw water on me!"

"Alright, Keqi, sit down. The teacher will be here soon."
Yue Keqi looked indignant.
"Sister Jingxue, what are you saying? She's clearly trying to make everyone misunderstand you."
"One should be lenient when possible. Her marriage to Chen Yuyan was quite tragic, and it can be considered her retribution. She was unhappy in her marriage, so she wanted to gain some sympathy through words. Please understand."
Yue Keqi thought about it and agreed.

Gu Pingwei felt a pang of jealousy when he saw Yue Keqi happily leaving arm in arm with Jiang Jingxue.
His beautiful wife was abducted, and the person beside her wasn't him.
Jiang Jingxue and Yue Keqi got off the bus earlier.
Looking at the desolation before her, Yue Keqi asked, somewhat puzzled.
"Sister Jingxue, where are we? Did we get off at the wrong station?"
