Chapter 4 Three Rules

Hearing this, Jiang Jingxue laughed, her dark eyes darting around, and a beautiful smile blooming on her face. "Lieutenant Chen, wasn't it your major who kicked me out of the hospital and told me to get lost?"

Lieutenant Chen turned pale and was extremely embarrassed.

Jiang Jingxue shook her head, no longer troubling Chen Hong, and parted her red lips slightly again.

"I can discipline him, but we need to agree on three rules."

Deputy Chen led Jiang Jingxue back to the ward.

Hearing the noise, the man looked up and his eyes fell on her.

His dark, deep eyes gazed calmly at Jiang Jingxue.

Jiang Jingxue was not afraid at all; instead, she went to meet her.

She crossed her arms, her long, black hair braided and draped over her chest, and her slender waist was so delicate that it was impossible to look away.

"Major Gu, it's so soon we meet again." The girl's beautiful eyes were fixed on him.

Gu Pingwei's expression changed slightly, and his low, husky voice revealed his aloofness, "I've heard that the Jiang family used to be imperial physicians, but I didn't know that Miss Jiang's medical skills were so superb."

Hearing his roundabout approach, Jiang Jingxue smiled confidently and said, "I can save you."

As she spoke, Jiang Jingxue stepped forward.

Gu Pingwei raised his cold, frosty eyes and looked coldly at Jiang Jingxue, "What are your requirements?"

Jiang Jingxue placed her hand on his pulse again. The man had been on the battlefield for many years, and his skin was dark, but it felt wonderful to the touch, making her love it.

Seeing this, Lieutenant Chen obediently closed the ward door.

Hearing the noise behind her, Jiang Jingxue looked up and saw her bright, fiery face appear before him, her body exuding a pleasant fragrance.

"If you want to live, you have to listen to me."

After saying that, Jiang Jingxue proudly raised her chin.

Gu Pingwei's cold face darkened slightly, and a somber aura surrounded him. He clenched his fists and spoke.

"good."

Jiang Jingxue didn't waste any words and quickly conducted a comprehensive check-up.

The conclusion was even worse than before.

His left leg was completely ruined; in her previous life, she might have been helpless.

But Jiang Jingxue lived for twenty years longer and had countless medical experiences.

Jiang Jingxue stood in front of the bed and asked, "Gu Pingwei, how long have you been without feeling in your left leg?"

Gu Pingwei's body tensed, his thin lips pressed tightly together.

After being injured, Gu Pingwei went to a provincial hospital in Beijing, but professors there were no solutions, so he had to transfer to a small island town to recuperate.

He already knew.

This leg can't be cured.

But that day, under Jiang Jingxue's acupuncture, he felt severe pain in his left leg!

"About twenty days."

Jiang Jingxue stroked her chin thoughtfully. The time spent was not long, and she was fully confident that she could cure him.

However, her treatment process was extremely painful, and only someone with a strong will could endure it.

Jiang Jingxue took out silver needles, disinfected them, and then started working again.

This time, no one stopped them.

Lying on the bed, Gu Pingwei's muscles tensed up again, and the pain in his left leg made him tremble all over.

His eyes were closed, his face was ashen, his chest heaved, and beads of sweat rolled down his forehead.

Jiang Jingxue was testing the condition of the meridians in his left leg this time. Because medical technology was very underdeveloped in the 1980s, there were no instruments available for the examination.

She discovered that Gu Pingwei's injury only appeared severe; his meridians were not completely damaged. After removing the external necrotic tissue and using acupuncture and medicinal baths, he would recover.

With each needle prick she made.

A sharp pain shot through the man on the bed. He clenched his teeth and tried his best not to groan.

Jiang Jingxue seemed to see the wolf king running wildly on the grassland licking his wounds.

She withdrew the silver needles, a smile playing on her youthful face. "How did you get this injury?"

It looks like he was injured by explosives, but the wound is so infected and hasn't been treated in time. Someone of Gu Pingwei's status wouldn't be like this.

Gu Pingwei lowered his eyes, listening to her words, his breathing becoming heavier.

His eyes turned cold. "What do you want to do?"

Jiang Jingxue looked at his wary expression and then realized what was going on.

Gu Pingwei's missions are all classified. With so many spies in the country these days, people of his status have to be extra careful. The fact that she asked him about it right away shows that she must have some suspicions.

"I'm sorry, I had no intention of prying into your private affairs."

"Judging from the infection status of your wound and the chemical reaction of the drugs inside, I guess it's probably due to the environment."

Gu Pingwei's dark eyes fell on her.

He remained silent.

"Not in the country." The man's voice was low and hoarse.

Upon hearing his answer, Jiang Jingxue's beautiful eyebrows curved into a smile, and she couldn't hide the joy on her face.

He did not doubt himself.

This man! He's really quite awkward.

Jiang Jingxue initially thought it was just a common bomb problem as rumored, but now she realizes that Gu Pingwei was framed by a villain and his infection was recurring.

She was silent for two seconds.

"You'll be fully recovered in two months at most!" Jiang Jingxue said with burning eyes.

Doctors across the country were helpless in treating his illness.

The little girl stood at the head of his bed and said that he would recover in two months at most.

Seeing his hesitation, Jiang Jingxue lowered her body slightly and looked at Gu Pingwei seriously, "Since you've asked me to treat you, you have to trust me!"

Her voice was already charming, and the way she spoke earnestly made her even more adorable.

A hint of a smile flickered in Gu Pingwei's dark eyes. "I don't disbelieve you."

Back then, his grandfather was terminally ill, and the family was preparing for his funeral. It was only thanks to Grandpa Jiang's help that the grandfather is still alive today.

As a descendant of the Jiang family, Jiang Jingxue naturally has this ability.
