Chapter 470 The Big Villain Actually Pushed Me Away

Chapter 470 The villain actually pushed me away?

He pulled out a flower basket the size of his palm.

A small red cloth, about the size of a palm, was placed inside the flower basket, covering its contents.

Xiao Tang glanced at it curiously.

She narrowed her eyes and cautiously leaned closer. "Hey, this thing's pretty good. Let me take a look?"

The man not only refused, but also gripped what he was holding tightly and backed away.

He was wary of Xiao Tang.

He had heard that Xiao Tang was a master of mystical arts, and this thing must never be touched by someone who knew mystical arts, lest it be damaged.

The more wary he was, the more she wanted to find out.

"May I have your name?"

Xiao Tang withdrew her hand halfway through the process.

She knew the man was probably unwilling, so she decided to chat with him about everyday things to lower his guard.

The man didn't think much of it. He nodded slightly to her and explained in a low voice, "My surname is Yang."

Yang?

Could it be...?

After all, in the entire imperial court, only Yang Defu's family shared the surname Yang.

Yang Defu did not mention that he had any relatives who could freely enter and leave the palace.

However, at first glance, he does look quite like Yang Defu.

No one would believe that the two were not brothers.

"Yes, my surname is Yang. Your Highness, you only need to tell me how to get to the West Palace, and I will go and put the things down right away."

Xiao Tang originally wanted to give him some guidance, but as soon as she raised her hand, she felt a sudden electric current run through her.

She trembled all over.

The man wasn't quite sure where she was pointing, so he leaned closer, wanting to see more clearly...

To his surprise, Xiao Tang suddenly started convulsing, which startled him.

He hurriedly asked, "What's wrong? Are you alright?"

Xiao Tang had no interest in paying attention to him; she was trembling violently.

The man, thinking she was having some kind of medical episode, was about to reach out to support her and check her pulse when, before his hand could even touch her, he was electrocuted and trembled all over.

Strangely, two people were simultaneously subjected to electric shocks in the Imperial Garden.

[Damn it, system, what's wrong with you?]

Want to get beaten up?

[I'm so sorry, host! I accidentally activated the electric shock punishment. It doesn't usually happen like this!]

This damn system is talking to itself, acting all confused.

Xiao Tang was furious.

She wouldn't believe it if you said it wasn't a prank on her!

What are you doing?

Just then, a cold, sharp voice suddenly rang out.

As Di Jingling's voice came, the two people who were trembling stopped.

From the moment the shaking stopped to the moment it ceased, it looked to an onlooker like the two were having a dance-off...

Xiao Tang blinked and looked over, just in time to see Di Jingling's dark face.

Did he misunderstand?

But we have something to say, we haven't done anything yet!

"Brother, what are you doing here?" Yang Defu finally spoke up.

It turned out that the court session had ended without them realizing it. The two men walked over and looked at them with a puzzled expression.

Yang Defu, in particular, stared at them with a face full of question marks, utterly incredulous.

He couldn't understand how these two completely unrelated people had come together.

I hadn't paid much attention to it before.

Di Jingling also looked at the man.

He clearly recognized the man; his eyes held a dangerous and eerie look.

Xiao Tang snapped out of her daze and immediately ran to Di Jingling's arms, sobbing, "Waaah, my husband, that was close! I was almost knocked silly by that monstrous strength."

Strange power?

"What is that?" Yang Defu asked, still looking foolish.

Xiao Tang peeked half her face out from Di Jingling's embrace and glared at Yang Defu with disdain.

That look seemed to say, "Why did you have to be so nosy?"

Can you please take your brother and leave right now?

Di Jingling said, "General Yang, take your brother and leave."

Yang Defu touched the tip of his nose, a little embarrassed.

Why does he feel so miserable and wronged?

They clearly didn't do anything...

He silently agreed, then left with his younger brother.

"What's wrong with you? You almost made the Regent misunderstand. Do you know what it means to make the Regent misunderstand?"

The stunned man, perhaps still reeling from the electric shock, shook his head blankly.

He really didn't know.

Yang Defu was speechless and could only roll his eyes.

Nobody knows that the Regent is the most jealous man in the entire dynasty, do you even know that?

Watching the two brothers leave, Xiao Tang was still leaning against Di Jingling's chest when the man suddenly grabbed her shoulders and pulled her away.

Xiao Tang: Huh?

The main villain actually pushed me away?!

[That's outrageous!!!]

Are you trying to rebel? Humph!

However, Di Jingling grabbed her shoulders and pulled her away from him, then said seriously, "I won't misunderstand, and I won't be jealous."

That's what he said, but he clearly had a smug little expression that said, "This king is just jealous."

Xiao Tang saw through it but didn't say anything, just smiled and nodded, "Oh, I see. Okay then."

The more I look at that smile, the stranger it seems.

Di Jingling cleared his throat. "Don't overthink it. I'm definitely not jealous. Alright, things are settled. Let's go back to the manor."

However, just as he took Xiao Tang's hand to leave, she grabbed his hand instead.

He couldn't pull it.

Di Jingling looked at her, puzzled.

Xiao Tang said, "Husband, what kind of place is the West Palace? This is the first time I've ever heard of it."
