Chapter 472 Ha, is the Empress Dowager a fool?

Chapter 472 Ha, is the Empress Dowager an idiot?

The red cloth fell to the ground.

All that remained were sighs rising and falling.

The ones who sighed were, of course, the two Yang brothers.

A strange jade bead lay quietly in the flower basket, meticulously carved by someone.

You can't see anything special during the day.

Xiao Tang stared at the bead and teased, amused, "Since it's nothing special, why cover it with red cloth? What? Are you afraid someone will steal it?"

Based on her past experience, this bead probably contains something sealed inside.

It's difficult to be completely certain just by looking at something that has been sculpted by someone.

She wanted to pick it up and examine it closely.

Before she could even extend her fingers, Yang Dejiang nervously pulled her into his arms, clearly not wanting Xiao Tang to touch them.

"Could this be yours?"

Yang Dejiang opened his mouth, instinctively wanting to refute.

Xiao Tang then emphasized, "You probably drew this thing to make it look so ugly, right?"

After she finished speaking, she shook her head in disgust.

He said that, but judging from Yang Dejiang's reaction, it didn't seem like it.

As expected, Yang Dejiang also showed an embarrassed expression and muttered, "No, that's not it. But you can't say that other people's carvings are too ugly."

Yang Defu was getting anxious and worried. Seeing his silly younger brother still muttering to himself, he was so angry that he raised his hand to hit him, but Yang Dejiang quickly stopped him.

"Elder brother, why did you hit me?" That aggrieved tone didn't make Yang Defu so angry that he vomited blood.

Yang Defu glared at him hatefully.

If looks could kill, he would have tortured his younger brother to death countless times.

In the end, he held back.

Suppressing the urge to curse, he spoke kindly to Yang Dejiang, saying, "The princess's magic is truly remarkable, I'm not joking. Please have her examine this object, lest it bring disaster."

What good things could the Empress Dowager have ordered to be released?

This is bound to be a disaster.

If that's the case, it's better to resolve this problem as soon as possible.

It's better than letting this become a major disaster.

Yang Defu always stood on Di Jingling's side, so he subconsciously assumed that this matter was definitely detrimental to Di Jingling.

Yang Dejiang shook his head, "No, Master said that the Princess must never touch it."

"Master?" After listening for a while, Xiao Tang finally seemed to get excited. She raised her eyebrows and asked him with a half-smile, "Tell me, what is your master's name? Why is he targeting me?"

Judging from this guy's expression, he's definitely targeting us on purpose.

She had no idea that there were people in this world who treated her like a thief.

[Not bad, not bad. Their defense against me means they're confident in my mystical abilities, right?]

She squinted her eyes happily.

Seeing that she was not angry but laughed, Yang De was caught off guard.

Yang Dejiang swallowed hard.

"Please don't be offended, Your Highness. It was truly the Empress Dowager and my master who gave the order. I really didn't..."

"If you don't want to die, hand over the stuff." Di Jingling was really getting impatient.

He stood there with his wife, watching this sticky, dawdling man ramble on for ages.

Patience has run out.

The moment he spoke, the air pressure around him suddenly dropped.

His words startled Yang Dejiang.

Yang Dejiang didn't even have the courage to look up at Di Jingling, as if looking at her for even a moment would strangle him to death.

Swallowing hard, Yang Dejiang said, "No...it's not like that. Regent, this thing..."

"Looks like you're looking for death."

Di Jingling found it extremely distasteful.

He had never seen such a fussy man before, acting like a woman, nagging and whining.

Xiao Tang also cursed inwardly that the other party deserved it.

Why not just live a normal life instead of challenging the villain?

Yang Defu noticed that Di Jingling's palm moved slightly, clearly gathering strength, preparing to use his internal force to chop his younger brother in half with a single palm strike.

Startled, he snatched the flower basket and jade beads from his younger brother and, before anyone could react, handed them to Xiao Tang.

"Your Highness, please take a look!"

Present it with both hands.

Xiao Tang raised an eyebrow and accepted it.

Yang Dejiang, seeing the item fall into Xiao Tang's hands, was so shocked that he rolled his eyes and collapsed to the ground.

Did you faint from anger?

Xiao Tang held the bead in her hand, glanced down at the pitiful man on the ground, and clicked her tongue in amazement.

"Dove, I'm not trying to be mean, but your brother really does have a serious illness."

Yang Defu broke out in a cold sweat.

He almost got killed by this kid!

He gave a stiff smile and echoed, "The princess is right to reprimand him. This boy is indeed too ignorant and deserves to be taught a lesson."

Xiao Tang smiled.

His eyes and brows, however, held no hint of a smile, as cold as an ice cave.

Her cold gaze swept over the bead in her hand, examining it from top to bottom, before she sneered, "I have to tell you, this jade bead has been cursed."

Yang Defu was slightly taken aback.

On the other hand, Di Jingling was not surprised.

It would be strange if the Empress Dowager let him off so easily.

Some people are just too shameless.

He stared silently at the jade bead in Xiao Tang's hand.

Yang Defu stammered, "This...this is something cursed? Then why did this brat bring it here? To cast a curse on the palace?"

"No," Xiao Tang told Yang Defu, "This jade bead is placed in the West Palace. Do you know why the West Palace has been uninhabited for so long?"

Yang Defu glanced cautiously at Di Jingling before weakly asking, "Is it... because... the feng shui is bad?"
